I need to actually catch up so I will do that and post again, but for now, Ethos needs to claim mason buddies. Most people have weighed in on the issues and claimed not mason, so it's simply a matter of deduction at this point. Obviously none of the people who voted for Ethos are masons; obviously none of the people who Ethos voted for are masons; obviously those that claimed not mason aren't masons; there are not many left. Scum simply has to hit in that pool to avoid the masons if they are PR hunting, without us even having the added benefit of having claimed masons. Might as well just freaking claim for those benefits.

Just wondering, Yos, but why is claiming VT generally anti-town? I believe it to be anti-town because it is the most common role that scum fakeclaims. However, I am interested in your opinion.

It's anti-town because, each time someone who's actually vanilla town claims vanilla town, it makes it easier for scum to figure out who the power roles are and kill them.

I'll be a little slower to respond the next few days are crazy but here's my stance on why the masons should claim all nice and clear like:

1.) With Yos NOT being a mason, I'm not sold on this to begin with. Mason, unsupported is a beautiful last ditch claim. So, forcing the hand in the event of a lie is either the scum sacrificing Ethos (highly likely) or trying to keep the facade up all game (haha).

2.) Masons declared reduces the lynch pool by a good margin. This is always a good thing.

3.) Masons claimed forces scum to neutralize masons instead of PR hunting or choose to gamble and failure being double-damaging. This is also a good thing.

4.) Masons claiming + my reads depending on the mason claims could be well on the way to a slaughter of epic proportions.

5.) Its already half way there. If I sat down and parsed the last few pages I could probably deduce it without too much issue. You can be guaranteed if it goes into night unknown scum WILL do that. Which lets them do 3 without the issues.

6.) A solitary mason claim dies tonight probably and wooo.

I really have no reluctance voting for Empking and once Idher started to single out Quilford and his behavior I started to feel that he was scummy, but I was more obsessed with Ythan being scum to really care.
