Thanks all and mods. Nice try town- though since the town lynched correctly half the time, including both the last 2 lynches, its hard to say what should have been done differently. Nevertheless Fuldu’s win is certainly well-deserved.

For what it’s worth, I doubted my sanity from Night 1, because Kaylee did *not* seem a likely role to be cop. To the point where I was about to ignore my result on Otaku Day 1. After Iammars died as cop, I actually felt more confident- I could easily see Mal being more insane than Kaylee would be naive. Ironically, the fact that I was naive almost didn’t matter, since I only investigated innocents (or Fuldu-when-innocent) anyway.

I finally just got the DVDs last week. For all those who haven’t yet seen the show, I still highly recommend it.


Fuldu:
I should probably have made more of your rushing the Day 3 lynch, and of not caring which scum group got lynched that day. But with only 2 nightkills thencefar I had misassumed that the town had enough of a margin of error. And, I mean, I *had* already investigated you. Of all the possibilities of my investigative abilities misfired (and I considered quite a few) the chance of a variable-alignment SK didn’t even occur to me. (And I was thinking you would have to be godfather to be antitown, so after Fritzler turned up as Niska I probably would have thought you innocent anyway.) Very good job subtly working to prevent the town from coordinating.

PB:
I’d love to hear how you decided Night 6 between DP and Fuldu, with an innocent result on each, with the game in the balance, and with some decision required. Sorry that your choice turned out so tragically wrong- that’s certainly an ugly position to be in. (Looking at it in retrospect, the only thing I could find was maybe something to do with the fact that Otaku II triggered off of Iammars’s death rather than mine.)
Just out of curiosity, why’d you kill tss Night 4?

I’m most upset at how I handled you at the end of Day 3. I had attributed your defense of Iammars being because you were hinting at being the roleblocker- and I completely forgot to reevaluate after Yosarian’s claim.

Iammars:
Honestly, I still don’t understand any of your play... at the very least, why didn’t you claim before lynch?

Fritzler:
Admittedly you were desperate, but why claim Blue Sun Day 5? Besides the fact that it’s hard to reconcile your being kidnapped Night 1 by the BlueSun-hired Jubal Early, the town needed to eliminate an antitown group at that point, so claiming a final BlueSun was futile.

Thok:
Why oh why didn’t you try to defend yourself Day 3? I was looking for *anything* to delay the day, but you gave me no reason to back off, to the point where I figured you might indeed be the last BlueSun and Fuldu was right about the risk. (Incidentally, your asides to me seemed like you were trying to manipulate me- you seemed to be implying that we were both innocent, and I couldn’t see why you would conclude that of me.)

(If you’re still around) Likewise, was there any reason why you gave up Day 1?

Heh...I figured he was defending Iammars because I roleblocked him night 1, and so he knew there was at least one roleblocker in the game, and so I had him pegged as a pro-town power role. (shakes head)

Honestly, at that point I figured I was the roughly the fourth best lynch; I wasn't as good a lynch as anybody who was scum but I didn't want to be around in a lynch or lose situation to mess people up.

And it's not like there was anything I could actually do to defend myself.

I though for sure I'd be waking up to me and DP (assuming I didn't get killed by the theoretical third Niska). And if the mod gave me the opportunity (I didn't get it with Ranger), I was going to try to get DP to help me lynch the mod.

And, to turn bragging mode up just a little bit more, I would like to point out that at no time during the entire game was a vote placed on me.

Whilst we're tooting our own horns, I think I managed to do OK taking over this game and knowing absolutely nothing about the theme. It probably showed in the lack of flavour in the death scenes though.

The setup of the game was 99% Dour, and I think he did a great job.
