I questioned SJ because they were being (to use SDC's fave word) cheeky. All this "Oh I'm being sarcastic about you Mina" bullshit is cheeky because it's noise that doesn't stick to them. Their flipflopping between "Don't make my points look less than serious!" --> "It was a fucking joke" makes it impossible to pin them on anything they said about you there.

You mentioned that you thought I was using set-up speculation as an excuse to talk. The Sub is the only real setup spec I've been doing.

For the record, whatever you think of SJ, I can state with 100% certainty that he was not in the slightest attempting to be taken seriously with his "case" on me, if you know anything about Faraday's sense of humour. The "why aren't you taking me seriously" line was also dripping with scorn.

Why is Socio a higher suspect for you than both LLD and Toog, if you have no posts to go off of? Also, what about my combination of scummy and townie posts places me in the scum list when compared to those of Dana and Ooba?

My scum-read on Socio was mostly gut-based something which I normally attempt to avoid doing which is why I wanted to go back and re-read it to see where exactly it comes from, not feeling anywhere near as certain as I was about him as scum now though. The scum-posts of yours overpowered the town ones at the time wheras Dana and Oobs didn't, the reads changed significantly since then though.

As scummy as Hez may sound this is actually Town-Hez, read through Jungle Republic and you'll notice he gets very aggresive and vengful when FoS'ed or voted by another player. Really disliking the rest of the back-and-forth between AV and Hez on page 15, AV comes out of it looking quite bad.

Regfan's being unusually reserved, which is meta-scummy. Same goes for gorilla, though I'm less solid on his meta.

Zhero's early posts look like words for the sake of having words and his iso 2 covers fail safe not working against the terrorist and sub being able to launch normally if needed, both of which seem like likely topics of interest for the scum QT.

This is a fair point, although I didn't like how the post started. Still, this is assuming lurkers would be taken out by those with nukes. A fair assumption, but an assumption nonetheless. Further, I agree that lurkers should deserve nuclear pressure and action if they fail to comply.

This is awful, awful reasoning if you openly state that lurkers will be nuked sure the scum-team are more likely to post more however it means that the likelihood of town being nuked over scum would be incredibly high. Not a good trade at all.

I've seen worse, but this is acceptable. Enough to keep you low on my death wish list, at least. I don't like the post numbers, because I have no idea what's moving you to read these people in this way without actually going back to look. Those were moreso notes for myself rather than anything else, I as previously stated planned on goign into far more depth but I'm still highly limited on time due to finals being in the next few days, a week from now however I will have no more commitments in which case I plan to devote this game the attention it deserves.

First off, just because Fate did something in Defcon 2.0 has no bearing on what he will or won't do this game. Second off, he could be scum. Sure, the scum wouldn't necessarily benefit from this power as much as town would, but there is still a third party here. Third, the scum should in no way be given a roadmap as to who is getting what power. The sole exception being Fail Safe, in which case Magua laid out a fairly strong case for it being unfavorable when compared with an active nuclear silo.

This is also wrong, you state that scum don't gain too much from this ability decreasing the chance they would go for it and then attempt to bring up the threat of a third party recieving it which is moot due to it being the most likely ability the terrorist will take with his free ability. Sure, we may not want scum to know who has which ability however with Air Base it doesn't make too much of a difference because they're still night-kill immune if they recieve it.

Alright, I'm up to page 21. Skimmed 21-24 but need to read them properly before I take anything from them. Going to head to do a practice test now but hopefully I can power through the rest of this thread when I get back. Summary of my reads and current thoughts are below:

No for a multitude of reasons, the top ones being this.
1) I'm already at a peak of being jaded and cynical right now due to events online and off.
2) In the rare times I do become emotional, it's almost always because I actively hate someone onsite. Not only is this unpleasant to experience but it carries over IRL as well. Mafia literally has been bad for my health.
3) Nobody has made me come to actively hate them (in this game) yet.

In fact, I myself have said very little about AV. It seems a lot of people are like "OMG THIS IS SCUM META," but I haven't actually finished a game with him in it, so I don't like to rely on it completely.
My biggest problem with AV atm is this "OH WOE IS ME!" attitude he's giving off. Its just a matter of deciding between upset scum or pissed off town.

I am liking Mina a lot now. In Defcon 5 and 4 she was really only half-present, but she's taken a very convincing stance on AV
