What time are you gone for the rainbow thing? I remember someone I ran into at a hostle talking about it awhile ago, but I forget the exact time and I want to see if I can manage to schedual at the right time since I have a weekish of wiggle room.
Will be going from Sacramento to Corvallis to Seattle back to Sac.
Well I think thats about when I would be passing through (right now it would be the 10th). It would be on Amtrak though since im helping someone move some stuff up there in their car and then taking the train back. That would mean it would need to be near a Portland station (im assuming there is one there).
Oh, just found this thread. I live in Salem, so I'd totally be down for a Portland meet. I can probably bring a few members of the WOUfellas Social Club as well.
I'm headed out of town today and will not have internet access again until July 8th. I assume people want to start making their plans.
We will definitely be doing this thing during the last weekend in August. Probably a long weekend (Thurs-Mon?) for those who can get extra time off. As of now, we still have no large accommodations. This could change. However, assume that it will not, which means that people would need to rent or chip in on hotel rooms. There's a decent hotel right down the street from my house. They may even have conference rooms.
When I get back from Rainbow I will start to organize the specifics, checking prices, making reservations, etc. Just wanted to get the dates solidified so that y'all can make your travel plans.
If ^that date is accurate, you can color me /in as well. Getting some grant chedduh on the 20th and would be soooooo dooooown for whatever if you'll have me.

If what wiki says it right we can have our own mini-meet someday... maybe it will progress into something more then me getting stuck eight hours each way between two different ones.
My odds of making it just went way down since I now have to do something the 11th that I cannot blow off or change the date of.

There are a lot of nerds on this site... why haven't we done a comic-con mini meet where we all go to comic-con, split hotel rooms, and then had a 2-3 day meet afterwards?
Also, I'm less likely to come based on the dates. School and all, but we'll see.
Um, if anyone's interested, Southwest are having ridiculously cheap flights in honor of their anniversary. Depending on where you're coming from, the most expensive round trip is $240 (I'm talking flying across the country), or as cheap as $80 round trip (within 420 miles).
Im buying my flights today. I will be getting into town sometime on the 25th (hopefully early) and probably stick around until early Monday the 29th.
Im keeping it simpler this year, so im just going to Vancouver (and maybe Seattle) after that for a few days and then heading down to Atlanta on Thursday for Dragon*Con.
Im all excited! woo! So feel free to put me down on the "guaranteed to be there" list.
