Why did each of you choose this game

The mountainous setup is one that is pretty generally stated as being unbalanced for town.
I feel this is bullshit and people keep relying on power roles and using them as a crutch.
There is nothing more pure than actually having to use your words and rely on that instead of waiting around for silly night actions.
Or hiding behind soft claims, or bread crumbs, or cryptography, or other silly nonsense.
Even though this game waters it down a bit with its non-needing of killing the last scum.
So I picked this game for a sense of proof, to show what can be done.
Considering I've won mountainous games in the past, and that was to the last scum dead.
So playing as scum in this game would be counter-productive the point, and would only re-enforce the negative lighting.

Klazam's post 133 is giving me some town vibes as well, reads like newbtown trying to get a foot in the game. Offering up a list of reads out of the blue like that is good, but the fact "everyone else is null" is pretty poor. Reads very natural though.

He's not. A player that jokes THREE TIMES that he's scum, is scum. In his brain, he is very nervous about the necessity to be deceptive, and he is releasing this tension by "jokingly" telling the truth.

This was the post that made me think Socio was town. His out right refusal to co-operate with Equi combined with a good Klazam vote.

For Socio that's a null-tell.

Apparently everything I said and do is scummy.

All in all, DGB is a walking self-contradiction, saying only what applies that second to try and make the tunnel narrower.

From what I know/seen/have experienced, DGB is antsy around her own scum buddies, and tends to dismiss them early so she doesn't have to form a real opinion on them.
In a game where bussing is EXTRA FATAL, I find this to be EXTRA TRUE.

DrippingGoofball: I'm loving a DemonHybrid/Llamarble/Equinox group right now; they were my top three independently, but DH/Equinox makes a lot of sense given the above, and I quite like Llamarble/Equinox for the sheeping, plus the end of 179: "If I were Sottytown and didn't like the parroting, I'd have liked Equinox for wavelengthsharing on disliking the Mith wagon parroting.".

Reading through SocioPath's DGB case... mostly seems to lack substance (and has that distinctive OMGUS feel), until the last two points (about DGB trying to negate a town read on SP by calling it a null tell; and the DGB/Equinox obvtown link). Of the leading wagons, I would still feel more confident switching to Llamarble.

Case dropped, and let us look at how mithyboy handles it.
Eludes that my case is OMGUS. Thats a good dismissal of it to try and undermine its content.

It's not that a DH town flip reflects well on Equinox (aside from DH having a town read on Equinox); it's that the possible link between them makes Equinox a bit more likely to be scum given that DH's alignment is currently unknown. If DH were to flip town, it would remove that link as a possibility - it's just simple probability.

Re: SocioPath... One big help going into day 2 was Thor's 281, which SP never responded to. A solid "here's why mith would do this as DGB's scumbuddy" post - and that case wouldn't have been too difficult to make - would have made life much more difficult for me.

Already did that.
Before Thor ever posted.
At that point it would be repeating myself.
Nothing solid at all about it.
Because I answer these questions before they were asked.
