I've had a few people ask me whether they can use google docs type of things to do things such as track vote counts and so forth between team members. That's fine so long as you're not using it to converse, and I'd appreciate it if you'll give me access to whatever document it is.

zoraster, are people allowed to discuss who's on which team, ask why a player selected that game/role PM, etc.? In team and scum QTs as well as the main thread? Or is that banned by the ongoing game rules? I predict a lot of metagaming and WIFOM along the lines of "X hates being scum, so he must be town!"

Yes you are allowed to discuss who is on which team in either the QT or the main game threads. However, I ask that you not do so in this thread (your team QTs are going out ASAP and you can discuss whatever you want there). Please remember that you may not discuss the other ongoing games outside of the team QT.

In the first, you're speaking about the teams themselves but not references the other games except for the player who is actually in your game. In the second, you're referring to the happenings in other games.

I don't understand how you could possibly reasonably police something like that. I mean, just to exaggerate the example, suppose I'm playing in a game with zoraster, and I'm town and I think zoraster is scum. Suppose in another game, Mina completely melts down and spews off her teamates and alignments in a fit of rage, and confirms zoraster as scum. How could you expect me and the rest of the town in my game to not lynch you based on that information?

Or, in your example, I can say basically the same thing: "Mina, zoraster, and draconic prob scum team." "ORLY how do you know?" "Can't say but if you read around you can probably figure it out *hint hint*" "OIC now

" - so I'm saying the same thing, referencing the same event from the other ongoing game, but I'm not really referencing the ongoing game. Unless you call that a violation but I can't see how. Unless there are some super strict honor rules in play, I can't see how I would not be able to use information I read in another game to fulfill my wincon in this game.
