No I am not. I think that for whatever reason you're missing my point. Let's say hypothetically its day 1 and there are two people you think are scum. These two people are unlikely to be scum together. What do you do?

That updated read post bumped smarg up to my #1 scumread, to me implying she knows I will flip town, and at the very least, backing away from her "distancing" theory, her only assertion in the game.

That is rich coming from you, though, Grey. Your more subdued aggression is making me doubt you, but my scumread on me smarg makes you town for now.

1 for 1 tradeoff is a good thing if it's extremely likely that it IS a 1 for 1 tradeoff. Two people exchanging posts should not immediately be written off as 1 for 1, as it has been.

And no, I will not assist your rolefishing. I've been plenty obvious enough.

The way smargaret was attacking Grey makes me think that they are not scum together. One or the other might be scum, or neither, but not both. Their exchanges just don't read that way to me. I had a relative scumread on smargaret and a relative townread on GreyICE, so if smargaret flipped scum, GreyICE would be more likely town. I added "for now" because my reads are subject to change as the game develops.

what`s inconsistent about:

- We have to be carefull with our votes, due to timetraveling scum, these situations (al be it incorrect due to not having completely understood the rules yet) should be avoided.
- If we list all dead(confirmed) mafia on top of every list, we are somewhat protected against mafia-revival tricks.
- Those nominated only have 1 post, this shouldn`t be wasted
calling one of these 3 (in this order, shortly after each other), more likely to be joining in for town-credit?

I think making sensible setup-related comments is only a towntell if the player thinks the rest of the town is too dumb to figure it out themselves so I don't see that there's much town-credit to be gained by joining in. And joining in makes sense at that early stage; good to get any important setup discussion done sooner rather than later.
Also, Kcdaspot's point was in some ways more relevant than Chronopie's since Chronopie's only comes into play once we get a scum flip, whereas Kcdaspot suggesting we agree about how the nominees should vote is relevant to today. It didn't feel like he was scouring all corners of the rules for something to talk about.

It feels to me like you would have said this about whoever posted their point after the others. I've seen other reasons to suspect Kcdaspot, but that post isn't one of them.

Look, I don't want to be this big Chrono defender here, but he deserves a chance to defend himself. As of right now, a Chrono lynch is off the table as far as I'm concerned.

The structure of this game means even if we nominate him, he will have one extra chance to defend himself. And I'm feeling more confident about some of my town reads in this game, so even though he's said less than some people I still get scummier vibes from him than from others.

Confirmed. Have yet to give the thread a detailed once over, but I did skim through making sure to read RangeroftheNorth's posts as well as any particular ones that stood out. I'll say this much, he sure did a good job at shooting himself in the foot. From what I can tell he seems to be in most people's top 3 suspect list (I define most as more than 50%). I can only hope the town judges me by my own performance and doesn't scrutinize me for my predecessor's.

In any event, I just took some medication to deal with a cold and it is making me quite drowsy. I will come back and try to make sense of things when I am more coherent. In the meantime, if anyone cares to point out specific points that they would like me to comment on, I will try and do so when I get back.

You've obviously got the basic structure right, but I think you're dealing with a lesser likely target, GreyICE. I think SharkFinn is actually scum and I'll tell you why. Because he violated the most reliable scumtell of all-time.

Im replacing Consission, who if it wasnt for me replacing in and seeing his/my role PM, i'd look into him as being scum.

For those of you that don't know what's going on; I've basically come up with a scumtell that if you *criticize* who you replaced in; you're scum. This is a refinement from what I had it (if you read your replacement at all you were scum); but this seems to cover all the instances where I've seen/remember it. If you're town, you really don't have to worry about your predecessor as you know they're town; but if you think that they're scummy; then you're scum. As town, you know that you're not scummy and don't deserve criticism at all.

After the last time I used his tell Amished estimated that when called out it identified scum 10 out of 11 times and was perfect when it was used properly.
