A full towncase on iam, you mean?
A full case on someone I find null leaning town? Why would you want that, MBL?
My reservations on the lynch have mostly evaporated after Merensial's little "let's lynch Bella instead" stunt.
It really seemed like a protection of iam.
However, I still have some lingering town feelings on iam's replace in post... I don't see why any town member would refuse to claim like that.
I am not feeling the most confident about this lynch, but certainly my doubts are not high enough to refuse to hammer and force a no lynch.
If I am needed to hammer to achieve a lynch, I will. I am not sure why a certain scum read is requirted for this.-

I'm not dead yet? OK. Didn't expect that.
If I had anything to claim that ought to save my from the lynch I would have done so several days ago, duh. I firmly believe that as a vanilla townie, it is optimum play to refuse to claim under any circumstance, because I think the reads you'll all get from seeing how I didn't get hammered yet will be much better than the reads you'd get if I'd claimed as soon as asked and someone hammered straight away because I'm an acceptable lynch. Consider this next time you're run up as vanilla, f'real.
As my last dying words I'll say that I doubt that Apok is scum at this point. Out of everyone who's on my wagon, she's definitely justified her position the best, despite the fact that she has a built in excuse in that she's the only other person on the chopping block. What she's said about my read on Meransial is wrong, but I can certainly understand how she'd draw those conclusions, and it really felt like genuine suspicion.
Not sure what Meransiel is playing at right now, but it doesn't look like a scum move to me. Bella is my top pick for scum, besides that I'd look at scot and CES as most likely. Do not fall into the trap of thinking that newbie play is mutually exclusive from scum play and really look at what Tuncali was doing. Also look at what Bella has done so far, namely, stalled on catching up, and then still avoided taking solid stances as much as possible.
That's all. Put me out of my misery already, geez.Elapsam semel occasionem non ipse potest Iuppiter reprehendere-

I'm posting from a phone, so I may have missed something, but why did you move off of apok, your #2 suspect and the #2 Wagon here at deadline? You think iam is nulltown yet you sabotage the Wagon of likely scum to make a pointless meranvote?Amrun wrote:Before I do that:

Solid stances are scummier than equivocated stances. Town do not have certain knowledge. Scum do. It's one of the reasons I find MBL to be townish, the fact that he's thinking in terms of possibly being wrong.iamausername wrote:Not sure what Meransiel is playing at right now, but it doesn't look like a scum move to me. Also, the stalling on catching up can be checked with the mod - I was playing LoL with him when I intended to be doing it and I was coerced into doing that against my will.
And I still haven't done anything that approaches the scumminess of refusing to claim.ShowChloroform girl, how have you been?

If... If iam/nopoint comes up town, keep in mind tomorrow that town have been serving themselves up on silver platters to be sacrificed, and the smart play for scum would be to sit back and let town take the lead on these lynches. Hope for mistakes and overreaches by town lynchers, and position relatively well for the post-flips. Decent chance I end up dead tonight.. good luck tomorrow, town. CES, I asked now because several things have happened in the game, and "self evident" is not an appropriate response.
MBL, I moved my vote to Merensial because he was being scummy as fuck. Apok was never my #2 scumread, only a better alternative than the iam wagon. Nice try at misrep, though.-

Apparently 6 votes is not enough?
Also, amrun, the point is that instead of trying for the best possible lynch in your mind, you are posturing at deadline. Your play is exquisitely political, and you are using connections between players as primary evidence left and right. Few and mbl. Meranvote and nopoint. Clean up your play tomorrow if you're town--you're becoming easy lynchbait.dialing in mildly protown reads since 2006-

What you're missing is that the Merensial issue made me look at iam again.
The minute he did what he did, the iam wagon become better than the Apok wagon. It was already headed there with the extended refusal of claim / lack of content at L-1.
You're expecting my thoughts at one point in the game to be the same as later in the game after significant happenings, like a claim.
Partially because of iam's actions and partially because of Merensial's, the iam wagon is better than the apok wagon. Neither of these wagons are the wagon I'd prefer (CES) but that wagon is not viable atm.
That being said, it looks like I'll have to hammer.
Let me know when we're all ready.-

I like to see my scumreads especially explain their reads in their own words. Your refusal is actively hindering my ability to further my read of you one way or another. I don't see any town motivation in that.-

I am an idiot. I apologize -- the "minus one to lynch" addition is not related to this game. I cannot go into detail given site rules.
Since I don't know if I will be back by deadline tonight, I will hammer since there somebody obviously meant to hammer.

NOTE: FLAVOUR IS FLAVOUR. IT HAS NO MEANING BEYOND AMUSING ME (and hopefully you )
Slowly, the sun winds its way across the sky. The night is setting on fast, and still the frogs of the forest have not come to a conclusion about who to kill. There is muttering and ribbiting and general despondency, but despite the naturally violent nature of the frogs shining through in their murderous desire to deal with the issue at the source, their still appears to be little chance of reaching a conclusion.
Eventually the noise dies down. It seems as if nothing will happen today after all. The inconclusiveness of proceedings means that the frogs cannot come to a democratic conclusion, and without a democratic mandate then frogs (or at least, these frogs, with their history of social and political philosophy and government based on a complicated system rife with checks and balances) seem largely unwilling to strike out solo. Gradually the despondent amphibians skulk off, one by one, to their homes amongst the trees and the pools.
And so night falls with no deaths beyond the unfortunate and mysterious one earlier in the day.
Uneasy dreams haunt the minds of the forest denizens that night. Dreams filled with shadows and pain and whispers. Whispers in their heads, whispers growing louder and louder and louder...
BLOOD
Bodies file from the forest, not quite awake, not quite asleep, seemingly not quite real. The inhabitants are absent, their eyes hollow shells, covered in strange purple mist that obscures the natural colours. They walk as if sleepwalking, but with a strange, shuddering grace, animated like puppets by one skilled in the art of puppetry. From their mouths come strange obscene croaks and sighs as they shuffle elegantly onwards. In one place they converge. Round one frog they converge. Denizen of another world, he was not long for this one.
The Great God Frog looks down from on high at the bemused figures of the murderers, now free from whatever possessed them, staring in shock at what they had wrought. He takes pity on them, and knowing only one way of helping deigns to give them guidance.

The frogs slowly drifted away from the scene of the crime, eyes lowered, shuffling uncertainty marking their movements. Nature may be red in tooth and claw, but the savagery of the murder was unusual for forest and frog culture. Frogs do not, as a rule, rip apart their kin and leave their bodies lying on the floor. This was something else, something deeply sinister, and none of the participants could explain it.
It took another death to cause the frogs to reconvene. Adders and frogs may not always get along, but this infection had broken the natural predator/prey relationship. At this stage, it was about rooting out the menace. Nothing else mattered any more.
