No questions remain unanswered. No doubts linger. You are Azeroth's greatest champions! You overcame every challenge I laid before you. My mightiest servants have fallen before your relentless onslaught, your unbridled fury... Is it truly righteousness that drives you?

I wonder.

You trained them well, Fordring. You delivered the greatest fighting force this world has ever known... right into my hands -- exactly as I intended. You shall be rewarded for your unwitting sacrifice. Watch now as I raise them from the dead to become masters of the Scourge. They will shroud this world in chaos and destruction. Azeroth's fall will come at their hands -- and you will be the first to die.

GreyIce, I see you deleted your Cult QT from the post of your role PM, yes? The mason roles included the Mason QT in their role pm. Since it says you can quote your role pm, presumably you can also quote your QT link; if you are conceding, there is no reason not to post your QT link.

So the question at this point becomes a gigantic puddle of WIFOM. Does GreyICE divine from what he knows of us, and places the poison into his own goblet. A clever man would put the poison into his own goblet, because he would know that only a great fool would reach for what he is given. We are not great fools, and therefore cannot choose the wine in front of him. But he must've know that we were not all great fools, so we clearly cannot choose the wine in front of us.

But we must know that this poison comes from Azeroth, and Azeroth is full of criminals and rogues, and rogues are used to having people not trust them, so we clearly cannot choose the wine in front of him. But! He must've suspected that we would know the powder's origin, so we clearly cannot choose the wine in front of us.

So, anyone down for a land war in Russia?

BY THE WAY,

Regardless we need to look at who he's trying to "protect". I'd suggest that they're coordinating their efforts.

Well, I've been doing a full write up of Substrike, and although I've concluded that substrike is actually far more conceivable than I gave it credence for yesterday, it's not quite as 100% sure as I was thinking a few hours ago.

unvote

for now. I will definitely be discussing Substrike at length, however.

First though, I'm going to return to vezok.

His claim of N1:
22. [Starbuck Image]: Level 85 Worgen Balance Druid, Unidentifiable Stalker, killed N1
23. AKnottedRope
24. [Benmage Image]: Level 85 Night Elf Restoration Druid, Recruitment-Immune Mason, killed N2

I have a really hard time he'd be so lucky as to fake a LR on 2 masons. This really happened. Vezok really was a LR.

N2:
Tonight I used it BL. That made me get Fate and inhim.

Fate + BL. This actually isn't fake, he stole protection and that ate Fate's vigshot. Okay, so this is also true. But, inhim redirected him, as a result of him lightning-rodded, so... I HAVE NO IDEA HOW RECKAMONIC RESOLVED THIS NIGHT ACTION. But, if he was redirected, then he might have double lightning-rodded, since inhim wasn't the direct target, but rather inhim's redirect was aimed at someone else, went to him as a result of the lightning rod (so the lightning rod resolved once), and then went again as a result of the redirect, resolving again. Weird. Anyway, as a result of inhim's redirect, which means it was REALLY likely that he was culted N2. This would explain why he claimed, since even though he was telling the truth, and was culted, due to inhim's redirect, the person who actually culted him was not any of the six people he listed as LRing. When inhim realized how totally nuts the results of N2 were, he then decided to no-redirect n3, I think. I think this also means Bunnylover technically saved two people, which is something I need to check against N2 kills in a bit.

On N3, he could have just targeted one slot above himself, and gotten:
16. InflatablePie
17. Substrike22
18. [vezokpiraka Image]: Blood Elf Blood Death Knight, Blood Elf Servant of the Lich King, killed N4

N4 - We know he was culted by N3, because if he was culted N4, he would have flipped town, so he probably had no night action.

However, after reviewing night actions, which I will discuss in the next post, there are some problems with Substrike being CR. But I will post this for now anyway because it TOOK FOREVER TO WRITE.

Part 2 - The Art of Busing

What was the state of the game, as of Mon Apr 04, 2011 8:41 am
-A cop had been lynched. Thus, the town would not want to lynch a second cop.
-There was a high number of deaths each night. Thus,
There would be a strong impetus to create a claim that would discourage RANDOM VIG SHOTS as well as a LYNCH
-There was sufficient information in the game to create ALMOST ALL of Substrike22's roleclaim: the passive ability had been claimed by Tragedy, and Baby Space had flipped the role name, thus CONFIRMING that such a role name could plausibly be in the game.
-It was Day 4. The cult had, basically, had a night to have a free recruit. With the number of vigs, this is the perfect time to bus in such a way that it will prevent any additional cops or night-kills. The ONLY PLAYER that would try to kill the cop is the serial killer, and the ONLY PLAYER that cannot claim a vig shot that would result on a culted dying INSTEAD OF THE CL is the serial killer, who obviously CANNOT REVEAL THIS INFORMATION TO THE TOWN. Furthermore, this would INCREASE the chances of doctor protection, thus DISCOURAGING the serial killer, if he even did try to kill Substrike, from actually DOING so.

What Substrike ended up saying about Vezok:
Substrike22 wrote:I 100% guarantee that Vezok is scum. My ability is to read whether or not someone belongs to the Horde. Back on page 10, Vezok claimed that she (and she was the first to do this) knew that the Blood Elf racial talent was magic detection. There is no way to know this without being a member of that race, which is a Horde-aligned race. Last night I investigated Vezok, and she came back as not belonging to the Horde faction. Therefore, she is in all likeliness the Cult Leader.

VOTE: VezokPiraka

-Notice how Substrike PRESUMES CULT LEADER, instead of KILLING SCUM?!?!?!?!?! HOW DOES THE CULT LEADER IMPLICATION AT ALL FOLLOW FROM SOMEONE CLAIMING TO BE A HORDE RACE, AND NOT ACTUALLY BEING SO. SK, MAFIA, OR SIMPLY CULTED, ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE.

What was originally titled:
The Art of being a Fake Cop

But is now titled:
Additional issues with Substrike being the CR

Substrike22 wrote:I posted all my actions once but I'll do it again for convenience:
N1) iPie (Horde)
N2) Roleblocked from N1
N3) Vezok (Not Horde)
N4) Agar (Horde)
N5 (last night)) Roleblocked from investigating Agar

Why would scum complain if they faked an inno on them? Substrike had no idea, and had absolutely nothing to lose by claiming a town result on iPie n1, and there's actually a LOT to gain by claiming an investigate on Agar (since that would mean Substrike wouldn't need to investigate last night).

Unfortunately, by the end of processing night actions, I'm thinking instead that Substrike was culted N3. However, the belief that Substrike was culted N3+ has its own implications which I will get to in my next post.

N1 - [I'm not sure, but I'm thinking he misculted on iPie. This will suggest later on, however, that he does not have the full 3 cults. Otherwise, who could Substrike have culted D1...]

N2 - claim of delay roleblock. Could be shotty, yes, so this is possible. And since I don't think Substrike could have known that shotty was the one that did the delayed roleblock, I'm tempted to believe this. Also, I think it is more likely that vezok was N2 (as per the last post). If you look at vezok's fakeclaim, it makes the most sense that he was culted n2. So the claim of "delayed roleblock" here conflicts with vezok being culted n2.

D3 - If there is a cult recruit from N1 and N2, then there would still be another culted to eat a bullet should one still happen to fall. Additionally, if Substrike had been roleblocked N2, they would be highly motivated to produce a claim that, additionally, would prevent additional roleblocks. So, bus. On the other hand, a bus when at LEAST one CR has failed? :/

N3 - Who would have been tonight that is still alive and wouldn't be a reflexive roleblocker. If it was Bunnylover, for instance, then there would be yet another cult down, because no N4. According to theory 2, tonight would be GreyIce/Arthas.

N4 - If there was a recruit this night, maybe Arthas? Otherwise, a no recruit due to picking up Bunnylover. Or GreyIce today, and who N5? According to theory 2, tonight would have to be GreyIce/Arthas.

N5 - GreyIce, obviously, in theory 1. Otherwise, tonight is Bunnylover/Agar.

So, GreyIce's actions today make more sense if there is a CR + 3 culted.

In theory 2, GreyIce and Arthas were picked up N3 + N4, and somehow got a fake night action in that seemed sort of compelling. Then Bunnylover/Agar last night, actually, which would be three cults right now, but no ability to recruit tonight. In which case, we would sort of have a mislynch.

All in all though, after considering night actions, it seems way more likely that Substrike is culted, not CR. But, this has its own implications which I will get to in the next post.

Why Substrike being culted N3+ implicates Katsuki as CR

Katsuki wrote: N1: Starbuck
N2: Chrono
N3: Chrono
N4: Chrono
N5: AGar

I've pointed out before that protecting Chrono three nights in a row is scummy as hell, and Agar last night is even worse. But, it's even worse than I thought, when we consider this:

Substrike copped a guilty on Vezok N3

This means that Substrike favored doccing(/shrinking, if you want to use a term that prevents confusion) Chrono N4, over Substrike, who had claimed copping a guilty. And it also means Katsuki favored shrinking Agar, someone that would prevent his N6 shrink, over Substrike, who had then CONFIRMED copped a guilty.

Why would Katsuki not shrink the confirmed cop?

Because he's the CR.

Why would Katsuki not FAKE shrinking the confirmed cop?

Because if Substrike died, somehow, this would implicate Katsuki as a liar. Katsuki has to only claim shrinks on people who REALLY ARE town, because otherwise he gets confirmed as the CR.

Oh yeah, and Bunnylover: after doing the writeup on substrike, it actually would have been impossible, I think, for the game to be over today, due to there being two reflexive roleblockers. If you or agar were culted any night--which, in most theories for there to be more 2+ scum, you or agar have to--then it would be impossible for there to be 5 scum today, pretty much.

Sorry about the wall of posts. Anyway, 2296 will probably be the one that ends up being most relevant. I'm done for now LOL.

Alright, I have two ideas for courses of action:

-Lynch GreyICE (CR claim, 100% confirmed cult)

IF GreyICE flips CULTED and not CR:
-AGar shoots Substrike (presumed culted, and this would give us a clear in Agar, which is the same that a result from Substrike would give us, if town)
-Arthas roleblocks Katsuki (Kats can't protect anyway, so no harm here)
-Substrike cops Arthas (if Agar is culted and doesn't kill Substrike, this will be useful, doubly so with Arthas claiming magic-aware)

IF GreyICE flips CR, and the game isn't instantly over:
[will fill this section in later]

Alternative 2:

-Lynch Katsuki (my top choice for CR)

If Katsuki flips TOWN
-Arthas blocks GreyIce or Substrike (some discussion might be needed here, as I think GreyIce being the real CR would require Arthas to be culted, so he might as well just plan to block Substrike if he is still town)
-Agar shoots either GreyIce (if he thinks GI at that point really is Arthas, and thus is male), or shoots Substrike (my second top choice for CR, and in any case probcult)
-Substrike cops Arthas (useful if Agar is culted, or chooses to shoot GreyICE)

Our actions at this point depend on:

-Whether we think Agar is still town (if he isn't, then cult can't cult tonight anyway)
-Whether anyone actually thinks GreyICE is the real CR (almost certainly not)
-Whether we think Arthas is still town (Honestly, I'm leaning town right now)

If both Agar and Arthas are still town (big IF), then we can afford to lynch the confirmed cult today. If there are 2 cult instead of 3, we can afford to lynch the confirmed cult today.

If we presume that AGar and Arthas are both culted, and that there are three cult and not two, then we must lynch the real cult recruiter today.

After looking at the number of problems cult would have getting three, after building the substrike case, I actually at think there can't really be more than two culted right now. There's a lot of confirmed night actions from recent days.

So, on the presumption that at least one of Agar and Arthas is still town, or that there is only two culteds, I am prepared to lynch the cult recruiter claim today, and to let night actions speak for themselves tomorrow.
