If he IS a PR and we're going to kill him, he should claim. Obviously. It sucks, but at least the scum would have to waste an NK on him at the very least.-

Generally, people claim when they are at l-1. It is far better for a pr to try to survive the night (there might be other prs that can protect them) rather than lie about their role and get lynched during the day. And its beneficial for them to claim right now, rather than wait and force us into a bad situation close to deadline.
So Iamusername. Claim in your next post. If not I will hammer you.-

If the claim is confirmable, we'll be saved a mislynch. If the claim is sufficiently powerful, the town is likely to hedge its bets and let the player live for at least a while. If the claim is particularly believable, then the lynch may be avoided as a result of that.Scumchat is awesome. Yarr!

If we lynch an unclaimed pr, the mafia is more likely to hit another pr at night. No good all around.-

If we don't lynch a PR today, say because one claimed to avoid the noose, and we lynch scum or a VT instead, then we can't lose a second PR through the NK.
I'm fully prepared to hammer if there's no claim forthcoming.ShowChloroform girl, how have you been?

Or, y'know, however many possible night kills there are.
Also, we've got one outed power role already. If ima has a claim to make that could pursuade us to lynch someone else, then at least one will survive the night, and we'll definitely get to use either iam's power tonight or get the dayvig tomorrow. Well, unless there's a roleblocker, I guess, but then he'd be taken up by one of them and potentially other power roles would be free to do whatever.ShowChloroform girl, how have you been?

The mod has been prodded. The last vote count was pretty inaccurate, and there hasn't been a new one in two days.
Vote Count:
5: iamausername (Cogito Ergo Sum, implosion, scotmany12, Meransiel, Apokalyptica)
3: Apokalyptica (MrBuddyLee, Amrun, Bella)
1: MrBuddyLee (petroleumjelly)
1: Amrun (kunkstar7)

Deadline is Monday March 18 April, btwdialing in mildly protown reads since 2006-

Why am I down as voting for Apok and not voting?
Also: ima should claim or die.ShowChloroform girl, how have you been?

kunkstar, what do you think of Apok? I have about the same thoughts on nopoint as you do--almost too reckless to be scum. Played terribly if he's town. Left the site, apparently only abandoning this game, when mozamis came up town.
I think it would be fair for the iamausername voters to at least ask a few questions of their top suspect.. iam was nice enough to replace in, and yet of the iam voters, though they seem to have read iam's posts, only scot seems to have asked iam any followup questions.
Apok, can you please summarize your case on iamausername? I didn't get it clearly from your last analysis post. Also, who would be your top pick for scum right now if nopoint were vigged and came up town?
Amrun, you've mentioned CES like 10 times in the past two weeks and yet haven't asked him a question in about that long. I think you've only asked him one question all game, about why he switched his vote from nopoint to mozamis. How are you furthering your read of him?
CES, who's your #2 suspect? Also, why aren't you asking iam anything?
scot, Meransiel, implo, what do you think of Apok?
Darkstrike, replacements should post more.

Okay. I'm not going to give a full list of reads at this point because night is really soon and I don't want the scum having any extra information.
iam definitely needs to claim.
Meransiel, your logic has a simple flaw in it:
Several people have already explained this a little, but I'd like to explain it further and clarify: consider a cop who is under pressure. If they claim, they might be able to get an investigation if we move the lynch to someone else. Theyb3. I don't even have to say why a PR revealing himself under pressure is bad.mightalso not be believed and be hammered. If they don't claim, they die uselessly with100% certainty. In fact, if their claim is believed, they can even be protected if there's a doctor. Plus, they could even be nightkilled instead of lynched, which is definitely an improvement (we don't waste a lynch, and the scum are forced to kill an otherwise-scummy player).
Now, sure, scum could claim a power role too - but town shouldn't instruct scum on what to do. If a town power role is about to be hammered, it is impossible for them to lose anything by claiming.
@MBL: the slot definitely has residual scumminess from OGML's exclamation of excitement followed by a lackluster performance. While it is somewhat true that she's been going with the flow (as iam said) she's justified her actions and votes and reads (hasn't been sheeping). So I'd say null-leaning-scum. Apok is overall null, but OGML gives me some suspicion of the slot.-

Well, the case on nopoint has already been hashed out. username comes in and takes up a very wishywashy position on Meran. He calls him gut-town with reservations, but only gives one example of him posting well, 2 or 3 examples of him being scummy, and a dash of WIFOMy "Scum wouldn't put themselves out there and do this" to taste. Meran's a player who tends to attract a lot of attention and votes to himself, so regardless of Meran's alignment, it would be very advantageous for nopoint to leave himself a back door to hop on a Meran wagon. In addition, the points for Meran's scumminess are fairly weak, especially the "mixing up the games" one. The more I think about it, the less substance it has.
Suspicions if username came up town: I'd be pretty lost here, admittedly, but I think that scot/CES might be good places to look. Maybe Bella.
Questions for username...other than why you're not claiming, why is your Tuncali scum-read so strong? You said Bella was null, and you're very insistent that Tuncali posted from scummy motives rather than newbie motives.Witness the man who raves at the wall-

To be honest? No reason at all.iamausername wrote:Meransial, why are you voting for me, anyway?
Might be fishy, but 2-3 people threatening to hammer unless a claim is given is plain stupid.Apokalyptika wrote:FYI, Bella, I wasn't accusing nopoint for attacking moz, I was accusing him for throwing a token support to it without any real context.
I dunno what on earth Meran's going on about claiming or not claiming or what have you, but it's fishy.
Null to me, sorry.MrBuddyLee wrote:scot, Meransiel, implo, what do you think of Apok?Voltaire fan. (yes, both of them). If you are a fan as well, pm me, and we'll converse for hours about why they're awesome.-

OK, do you think you could maybe stop voting for me then? Are you really happy to lynch someone when you have no reason to do so?Meransiel wrote:

scot, why are you waiting for tomorrow to evaluate Apok? Don't you think it would be a good idea to make sure you are making an informed lynch choice today?
Is everyone else on this wagon happy with the company they're keeping? Do you not think that this level of complacency might just be a sign that this is obviously a bad lynch?Elapsam semel occasionem non ipse potest Iuppiter reprehendere-
