@DDD: My point is that any anti-town false claiming vig considers the chance of someone counterclaiming. First realisation he would come to is yours, that a vig would not like his claim. So, he has to be assuming that, as vig knows he's lying, he'is going to be nightkilled the following night. So, maybe unightkillable, fair enough. But, he knows he's going to get shot at and not die, knows that because of the fact wakes up the next day, the vig is going to know that he got protected/is unk, so the vig is going to assume that he is scum. And he knows that even if the vig dies at some point, he's still probably going to be lynched because it's unlikely there's a full vig in a game with a one-shot.

Maybe I'm being charitable to GMan, but if I was scum thinking about claiming vig this early in the game, these are instant thoughts upon my thought of claiming vig. Vig is such an obviously shit scum claim no scum would ever do it unless they honestly thought there were no other vigs in the game, and I don't think it's a remotely plausible assumption this early.

Furc on the other hand is someone I never really can read so I don't bother. I just pencil him in for automatic removal at some stage.

Primate, that logic is so busted on so many levels mostly because it's applicable to any PR claim. If you claim doc, the real doc is likely not going to care for your claim and counterclaim or try to get you killed/lynched anyways. However, vanilla claims are almost always lynched, so if you have any shot at staying alive scum should claim a PR. From a scum perspective GMan's claim might: draw a counterclaim from the real vig letting scum block/kill them; there might not even be another vig which makes GMan safe at night, if there is a vig maybe they do think another limited vig might fit into the game and not kill them. There are simply way too many outs for such a claim to stay that it categorically is something scum would not do.

Vig is specific and different because the guy can kill you by himself, and doesn't need to counterclaim, he just need to submit a nightaction specifying you as a target

He's not going to draw a counterclaim, the vig is going to shoot him because vigs can kill people by themselves without revealing.

It's entirely possible there is no other vig. But I think it's bullshit to assume that GMan would think that at a time when we have 20+ people unclaimed and him not being shot at night fundamentally rests on that.

Primate; it just seems like your theory is predicated upon the idea that scum can't or won't make bad false claims when they're prone to making mistakes just like anyone else. It also assumes a lot like that they don't have NK protection or maybe they simply feel like the reward is worth the risk which would make it a good claim in the eyes of scum. It's simply not a good enough theory to make me believe GMan is town.

I've had my feelings about VPB since the beginning but nothing concrete. It's in my ISO. Having never played a game with him I don't have a meta. I just know that he did seem to be trying to deflect reads/discussions from chesskid and DDD and to a smaller degree BS. He voted me four times but wouldn't lay out a case and discounted anything I said. I think he's scum... I did consider blocking DDD but VPB was my far and away candidate.

He jumped on late to the Emp wagon only after my and gman's fizzled. Today he says (ISO 216) that IS, Jedi and DDD are most likely not the same alignment as Emp...again pushing the DDD town thing. Emp pushed for DDD to claim, which might be, but not a whisper of the possibility of a bus. And Emp wasn't the loudest claim pusher. For an analytical mind like VPB I would think he'd at least consider that. I sense a DDD connection but first things first...
