BJ is being unusually protective of Iammars (or unfoundedly agressive toward Emp. "Unfounded" because he didn't start out the day voting for him but warmed up to it) and that's good enough for me not to join that bw. (But it's hard to tell whether he has *reason* for it or it's just another part of his antic disposition). I stand by my prediction - I don't think there can be any two-person mafia group left. Unless BJ is setting up a role claim for himself for later, I think it's safe to leave Iammars alone. They're not working together.
Thok's reference to tss's comment as a "good reason" strikes me as very weak.
Emp is pushing hard for Iammars' lynch. This could mean he's scum and desperate or he's enthusiastic. I've only played with him once, but he was definitely enthusiastic. I'd like to keep him around.
But it seems to me tss is trying to set up the next bw before this one ends.
tss: If, by "scum tells", you mean analysing the deaths á la Jeep's wiki article, that's old hat. When exposed, they were interesting, but now they're worse than useless - scum know to avoid them.

Old hat scum usually know how to avoid them. But there are a lot of players on this site who've never played with jeep and in many instances aren't aware of his tells until someone (accurately) accuses them of them. I know I've been in a game in which scum was correctly pinched by jeep's tells in the last month. I think your point is a good one, that they aren't as useful as they used to be, but I think they still have a good deal of value, especially against relatively new players.d8P wrote:tss: If, by "scum tells", you mean analysing the deaths á la Jeep's wiki article, that's old hat. Huh? Why couldn't there be two or more Niska remaining? Unless you are a Niska goon, that seems like a silly comment to make.d8P wrote:I stand by my prediction - I don't think there can be any two-person mafia group left. unvote Iammars, vote D8PI replaced into Chess Mafia for 6 months, and all I got was a win and this lousy sig.-

Yeah, I agree. Usually if you have 2 scum groups in a game this size, average is that they're both 3 person scum groups. I'd like you to explain your comments there.Thok wrote:

d8P:
I also want to hear more on this.d8P [277] wrote:I stand by my prediction - I don't think there can be any two-person mafia group left.
Why would you- just when the Iammars bandwagon received 2 new voters- think it would be about to end?d8P [cont.] wrote:<snip>But it seems to me tss is trying to set up the next bw before this one ends.<snip>
Aw, thanks. For the record, I’d like to think I’m enthusiastic even when I’m scum and desperate. Not that I am *ever* desperate. Or scum.d8P [cont.] wrote:<snip>Emp is pushing hard for Iammars' lynch. This could mean he's scum and desperate or he's enthusiastic. Yosarian:
On a similar note, why 3-person groups?Yosarian2 [280] wrote:Yeah, I agree. Usually if you have 2 scum groups in a game this size, average is that they're both 3 person scum groups. I'd like you to explain your comments there.
tss:
Since there seems to be a slight dispute, could you state exactly what you meant by “scum tells and all” against d8P?
Also, in the interests of accuracy, I should point out that in [270] I should belong on the “Has seen the movie AND at least one episode” category. But the show is better, IMHO.-

Scum tell #1. Being overly vocal in his hurrays at the deaths of scum.d8P wrote:Coolish. So far a blue sun operative, a bounty hunter hired by the sun group and a Niska mafia have died.
Scum tell #2. Probably misleading assertion regarding number of scum in a group: most games make their non-SK scum groups evenly matched wrt numbers, and the typical number is three as that usually gives a reasonable town/total scum balance.I'd say there is probably only one more Blue operative left, and probably one more Niska, no doubt the GF as Vis was a goon.
And yet... you didn't.When exposed, they were interesting, but now they're worse than useless - scum know to avoid them.
Unvote: Iammars, vote: d8P. Better suspicions and (now) bigger bandwagon. But I'd still like to hear Iammars's response to my post.
Yosarian: It's not so much that you changed your mind as the way you did it, refusing at any point to cast any vote anywhere.I think it's pretty clear that TSS's awesomeness did alter the roles each of us recieved, and thus he's obviously pro-town. -- Save The Dragons-

For not only his assumption of a 2 person mafia but also it is odd that he tried to deter the bandwagon he was on. Plus I am a sheep. I also had this whole rant about emptyger but it didn't go anywhere so I took it out. I've been following but I may need to regain my bearing a little better so I shall try to reread this and get a better grasp of today's events.-

I still find Iammars much more suspicious, but I realistically doubt there will be enough support for him over d8P at this point. If I am not satisfied by d8P’s next post (ie: a full explanation and claim), I will be putting a lynching vote on him.
<keeping my vote on Iammars in the meantime, just in case>-

I am River Tam, a mason. I will leave it up to the other mason to decide whether to confirm this or not.
Again, it is totally unreasonable to presume we have two three-person mafia groups plus the contract kidnapper. Mafia groups are normally balanced. So we have two two-person mafia groups plus the kidnapper. That's what I said at the start of the day and I stand by it.
Overly vocal in hurrays? I said coolish and made an observation I consider important - the scum that are left aren't working together.

unvotesince that a ridiculously easy role to confirm and it essentially has to be in the game.
D8P-does your role specifically say that the kidnapper is in a different group from the Blue Sin group? The front page suggests that the Blue Sun mafia group=2 hands of blue + Jubal Early. It would fit the theme if the Blue Sun group didn't have a god-father, and Jubal was given bonus powers to compensate.I replaced into Chess Mafia for 6 months, and all I got was a win and this lousy sig.-

Thok - no. In post 167 Mr. Whedon wrote that Jubal was freelance bounty hunter, hired by the Blue Sun Group. He was not really part of the group and had a distinct night action. Three night actions by two groups of two plus one extra seems heavy enough. Anyway, we'll see how things pan out.-POST NO BULLS--
