Ok, that was kind of bitchy of me. I'd rather leave that aside for the moment because I think Mariyta is town.

I find it likely that the scum would have not used a NK last night so as to try to get us to WIFOM ourselves to death. The addition of new information, because so many of us have made our reads and cases on each other very clear, would have helped us make a better kill. As it stands, we're more likely to keep pushing yesterday's cases than make new ones. That leads me to believe that many of our current cases are not leading us anywhere useful. I think I should reread the game to see which players would benefit the most from no new cases being brought forward.

NK speculation is usually not a great plan, but I think in this case it would be good to examine how not killing someone would help scum.

I personally favor a ridiculous theory and a more plausible one. Ridiculous theory is CD is scum and can only shoot during the day if he foregoes a kill at night. More plausible is it was a doctor. @UK: Scum are going to be the only ones who know who the NK on (or whether or not it was submitted). So imagine we start speculating about who might have been killed. Any speculation, ANY SPECULATION gives them an opportunity to figure out who is thinking like a doctor. I've NEVER seen the idea that we start speculating on who the fucking night kill was in a doctor protect come from confused, annoyed scum, or very, very newbie town.

I can think of a lot of motivations for that post.

1) WIFOM the town about any doctor claim (they no-NKed to lay the groundwork for a doctor fakeclaim)
2) Try and psychology catch a doctor
3) Distract from scumhunting with pointless WIFOM speculation (is there doctor? Bulletproof? Did they "no-NK?")
4) Try and fish night action claims out of people to find power roles

Just NONE OF THESE MOTIVATIONS ARE FUCKING TOWN.

If you want people to jump on your case with you, you have to show your reasoning. You're just saying "UT is teh scumz!" and getting frustrated when no one else feels that strongly about it. UK, there is a lot to be gained from speculating on who the scum decided to kill. Did they kill this person because they're power role hunting? Because the person suspected them? You can at least learn the mindset of the scum team (which is going to be the mindset of its dominant player(s)) - are they cautious? Risk takers? Do they like to play games, or play it safe? It's interesting stuff.
