Because asking the questions only matters if you think the role may/may not exist. Not to mention that the answers only further to continue the conversation about the supposed existance/non-existance of the jester. If you don't like jester speculation, then just STOP TALKING ABOUT IT. What possible good comes from the "clarifications".
The point is this: Suppose you're in palm's position and you decide that you "do not like" the jester speculation. Do you a) discuss other things in the game or b) ask the mod questions about jesters?

I shall make my usual unverifiable claims of pure awesome and sexual prowess now.
Also, I'm in the middle of a fairly busy work week so I would not expect too much from me till the weekend as I'll be re-reading the game and probably won't be able to finish it till then as I usually average only 8 or so pages a day on re-reads until I get bored/frustrated and stop till later. As I go I'll post up big honkin' walls of opinions, snide remarks, and badly phrased jokes that only I snicker at. After that I'll act superior for a while since I'm a replace in and basically refuse to explain or try to justify my predecessor's past actions. Then I'll vote someone and declare personal brilliance that everyone should follow.

I'm less secure about palmer refusing to post cases he doesn't understand in the first place. Is a defense important to you or not? How hard is it to ask for the summary of the case on yourself?

I've had people claim Doctor when it wasn't L-1 on them on Day Two in newbie games. This doesn't seem as unlikely as it sounds. (1024, for anyone that's curious.)

I asked about the 'being doc-protected twice' nonsense because it was DGB's ONLY defense against Ghostlin's vote on her. Which then turned into an OMGUS.
