I don't really understand why people who don't KNOW X-Files would sign up for this game, or replace in.

And just for the record the tofutti thing was a way of confirming the role without out right saying it. You would KNOW that if you KNEW X-Files. I'm just saying.

Many of my posts have been X-Files related, perhaps I was naive to come into this game assuming others would get my posts or how they pertain.

I'm a bit behind but catching up in this one, I'll try to be less lurky.

I'm really not that concerned. I just got around to this game because I've been busy and your post happened to be the first I saw. I'm currently reading back what I've missed in D2, though I don't really see a reason for the flavor claim seeing as how it's not really going to tell us anything seeing as how characters like Skinner, Reyes, and LGM are not PRs, there's very little to go off with flavor, I mean if everyone else does it, so will I, but it won't help town or scum imo.

I am reading back a couple things but just throwing this out there. As an X-Phile, I am not sure what the connection is between Scully and Killing as was implied in Camn's claim post. On one hand I am inclined to believe there's no frakkin' way an XF game would be sans a Scully, but of ALL the characters I'm the most uncomfortable with her being any sort of kill-role. I don't like it. I realize I am just now saying so but I didn't actually notice it before.

As for the N1 kill of the burn, I'd say we have a Cecil L'Ively on our hands there. Possibly a one time SK.

I think if the Scully claim was fake it would either be a HUGE gambit, or was some wtf'd setup piece and was given to scum as a safe claim. Again. Don't buy that she would be excluded from the game. If the real Scully is somehow out there and has not claimed, don't do it yet.

Obviously we have to have a Mulder somewhere, I'd wager he was a tracker or watcher of sorts based solely on flavor-to-show relation, but I might be over analyzing this in my over exuberant XF fangirling, son.

I would also (hope???) we had a Tooms in this, because COME ON.

CSM, and the rest of the syndicate are likely scum parties.

Now that the useful flavor thoughts are over with - please to excuse me while i keep reading and look for slips.

@Camn I looked that up and it seems to settle my concerns. Besides I don't really see someone FCing Scully and getting away with it...

For as long as I am alive here I'll be happy to be a source of flavor-info, seeing as I am a die-hard Phile and all, but I really highly suspect a Cecil, and a CSM flavor wise to be in this game given what little evidence we have so far. ISOing Gman now to see what's the what.

This caught my eye with my heavy suspicions we have a Cecil L'Ively...

You can go check the XF wiki page for more info on him and everything but FLAVOR WISE? (assuming Jason really went heavy handed on the flavor connections) There's no one else this would fit, and no one who'd fit better the role of SK. I find it odd that GMan would bring it up right away, almost as if to divert everyone into discussion and later pull out the 'It can't be me, I brought it to light!' type WIFOM card.

I'm liking where this is going.

I suppose it's my paranoid nature, really. It's not actually a tell one way or the other, but I was uncomfortable when ISOing him and that bit really stood out to me, given my rather obsessive need to try and align flavor with roles. I realize in the end this is either null or wifom either way it goes - but i just found it odd that he would jump so quickly to point it out, rather than just question it. The fact that he expressly stated the presence of a SK seems to me like someone someone would do to use as WIFOM down the road of how he pointed it out, and he would never put that out there as extra suspicion on him as if he had any alignment/role knowledge.

Right now for me, Camn is the last person I want to lynch. She explained her role and her odd claim and I am very comfortable with it.
Jah seems to be playing the same way as he is in another game with me in which I find him to be very towny. He also is high on my town list.

I am still reading over a couple ISO's but as far as THAT goes, those two will not see me on their wagons if they ever emerge.

GMan, you would say that someone who has a suspicion wouldn't bother to place a random vote? Why do you think a townie should pressure someone they do not find suspicious, or at least did not express any suspicion of? All we know is that he random voted theman and unvoted when he wanted to look for someone suspicious. There's no hint of Amor thinking theman pressure was a good idea, but you assumed he should have thought about it?

@Jah from what I remember, as I think this was just around my awful flu, was that I saw other people voting Amor, they seemed pretty towny to me, and so I examined the case myself, ISO'd him and decided I liked where the lynch was going. I also really wasn't comfortable with the happy to die attitude. That sort of attitude fucks the town in lylo. So I don't honestly see it as a HUGE loss, granted I would have rathered we hit scum than town, the odds were in the favor of a town lynch on D1, and Amor wasn't really doing anything to help at all.

you are trying waaaay too hard to pick apart my case. I've been claiming with a single key word in several of my posts, but if people don't KNOW the flavor it's gonna go over their heads. Especially since my role isn't a very big one flavor wise.

I could insert some witty slash jokes about a Mulder suicide after Krycek died, but I am team Sculder so that would just be forced, really.

ANYWAYS back to the game at hand. I still see Camn as town, Jahudo too. Amrun I don't know but the longer I read her posts the more I am thinking town there too.

Rat I don't like, but not for anything blaringly scummy he's done except maybe target me when I've been the weakest player this game, but then again I've earned that.

Dekes is really hard to read for me, which is always disconcerting to me, and I need to go back and read over Lew/that slot before I make any opinions about it.

Marita claim seems legit but makes me nervous.

Marita wasn't really good in the show, she was a lover of Krycek and a quasi-informant to Mulder and worked for the syndicate before she was killed. She was always reluctant and a bit of a morally-gray character though, so I'm not sure what to take of it. Null tell for now. But I could see this being a safe-claim given to the scum.

Langly makes sense as does Frohike.

I'm William Mulder (the elder not that fraker of a show-killing baby.) I've been trying my best to think of how to hint at my rather random role by using the word 'son' a lot seeing as he's the 'daddy' of Mulder. Me sad now though, because my poor (not!) kiddo got killed

X, Deepthroat and Marita claims make me nervous. I'd guess at least 2 if not 3 are scum. If one is town I'd lean towards Marita or X. Deepthroat was only really in one ep.

Scully, the other two LGM, and myself I am positive are town. Will not see them lynched.

@Lew I may have joined 3 years ago but I've only become active again in Janurary. I took a year and half break and before then I sucked. XD but I am sure they have fake claims. I'm just saying if Marita is not a FC she's morally gray so it's a null tell either way.

This is has been a really really stressful few weeks for me on a personal level and I coming to the end of the tunnel FINALLY but this game unfortunately was smack in the middle of it all and I've had a hard time getting to the bottom of it.

The RB on haylen and the no NK strike me as very suspicious, and while it's entirely possible it could have been a scummy WIFOM set up I just highly doubt scum would pull something so needless this late into the game. Amrun's admitting to lying I don't like but given her play throughout and her newbieness (plus flavor) I am inclined to believe the claim.

Camn I am not AS sure on. Scully not being in the game would really be weird, but maybe the flavor reasoning is to do with her being locked up in AniX's basement or some shit, IDK. I do know that right now I like a hay lynch.
