Fate, I'm excited to hear your game-breaking plan, but given the number of nukes left, I don't think this game is even going to last one more night for AV to investigate someone. You will need to come up with damn persuasive reasoning to convince me that we should not use even

one

of our endless supply of nukes on someone who is the closest we have to a sure thing--especially since AV has no incentive not to lie about his results given that he's a goner. Besides, if he's scum, then he already has two real investigation results (as that means his InHim investigation was a lie).

The computer is occupied, so I'm posting from my phone again. But I used the long night to reread a few ISOs as well as the events that went down during D3. So I have a few thoughts on who fits best as Chinese and Russian. Tonight or tomorrow, I am going into fullblown Soulcrushing Wallpost Mina Mode (I've been too succinct so far ).

Firstly, is there someone who doubts the case on AV? If anyone needs convincing, I can make a huge post devoted to why the leaks imply that he's scum AND why his behaviour is also suspicious. For example, I noticed a nasty flip-flop on his stance on nuking chesskid3. I hope I'm not tunneling on him, though. When I was rereading to look for connections, I was actually keeping as much of an eye out for interactions with AurorusVox as interactions with flipped scum.

Right now I'm thinking we should force someone scummy to waste a nuke on AV, simply to avoid a repeat of Katsuki nuking Fate on his deathbed. (If Fate has an alternate plan, I'd like to hear it.) There's one player in particular (who I will deliberately not name yet) who is my second suspect right now, and might coast to endgame if I don't stop him, but I really want to take my time with reads/analysis/questions before I make a decision. My problem is that I cycle between paranoid theories every few days. (I swear, last night for about ten minutes, I'd seriously considered the possibility of Sociopath being not Chinese, but

SpyreX, I'll grant you one point: it made me paranoid that Fate keeps calling AurorusVox scum and then going out of his way to keep him alive. (EBWOPreview: okay, never mind, then. Paranoia gone.)

However, it would take quite a few town flips for me to consider voting Fate today. For example, his earlier plan to nuke chesskid today makes no sense for scum. (I think it's an utterly horrible idea to waste a vig kill on yourself, particularly if he doesn't also suspect chesskid, but that's beside the point.) And why would scum plan a game-breaking strategy for the town?

Seriously, since I've only seen Fate as town, is he really this good as scum? It's a terrible move for inHim to heal a townie instead of withholding (maybe to keep him as a lynch option because he was likely to be nuked?), but his behaviour feels so careless and spontaneous. I usually don't get gut town reads this strong on scum.

I won't lie; I did bat an eye at it. And my read on Fate might be affected by what the plan is. But I can see reasons for why scum would protect a townie, so I'm not willing to lynch/nuke Fate alone for inHim's protect, particularly when the rest of his play is townish. And everyone else in the suspect pool has done something to make me suspect them more. Maybe it's that I play more by general impressions. I tend to look at someone's overall play and motivations rather than fixate on a couple of facts that look bad on paper.

See, that's something else that bugs me about you. Correct me if I'm misremembering (it's a pain in the ass to ISO you from a phone), but I don't think you've brought up a single point against Fate all game that

didn't

have to do with Fate being protected. Did you even suspect him before then? Why don't you make a case on him based on something other than inHim? If he's scum, shouldn't there be lots of material?
