I'm the Bartender.
Everynight I can choose two players which will be invited to my bar. During that night we become a three player mason group.
I can only invite any given player one time.
Last night, I did not submit a choice because I did not know that the game was starting with night.
If you will allow me to live until tonight then I will prove my role by inviting two people of the towns choice.
Then I will probably be roleblocked and then lynched tomorrow, you know this situation doesn't look good for me.
Oh well, whatever you guys wanna do.I miss Puzzle.-

@StrykkerVerde
why would you be roleblocked? do you have reason to believe the mafia has a roleblocker? i think a pro-town roleblocker would give you the chance to prove your role...
BTW, even if you had used your ability on N0, it would still be suspect... letting the town choose the two people is a BIG point in your favor (granted it works like it's supposed to...)
on another note... this role is only helpful to the town if you choose 2 people who are both pro-town... also how do we know that you are not mafia trying to pick the town's brain?
@chamber
scum generally dislike the people voting for them...-

I'll give him a chance to prove himself, it's simple enough. We've still got a noose with his name on it waiting for him tomorrow if he's lying.
Oh, and I don't think we should have Strykker tell us who's coming to his little party tonight. If he does, the Mafia is more likely to take a shot at them, methinks. Let's hope for Strykker's sake that the people he invites aren't dead tomorrow by "coincidence".
And just because you're provable doesn't mean you should act like an idiot. Just because Dranko does it doesn't make it cool.
On a seperate note, the ??? vote didn't appear until a later vote count. It would appear somebody has a secret vote, and not that myself or Don has a double vote tagged onto one of us. Somebody out there wanted Strykker lynched, and it makes me believe in his innocence a bit more."Only a fool quotes himself." -BrianMcQueso-

@BrianMcQueso
the problem w/ that is if StrykkerVerde is really Mafia pulling a fake role-claim, it would be possible for him to get 2 scumbuddies to "say" he recruited them... maybe the best solution would be for the town to suggest 3 names, StrykkerVerde can choose 2 of those 3 to recruit... the Mafia only gets 1 kill, so that would decrease their odds of hitting a recruit while increasing the odds of getting at least one true townie to confirm StrykkerVerde-

Falcone: If a pro-town player had the option of a secret vote, I would like to think they would come forward. Of course, this would make them a bigger target to the mafia... but a secret vote is something sleazy... I'd expect it to lie in the hands of an anti-town player, something like a Mafia Godfather, or maybe a Serial Killer. Honestly, I'm not sure, it could be pro-town, but abilities like that just seem scummy to me."Only a fool quotes himself." -BrianMcQueso-

LyingBrian: True, but if Strykker is scum and gets two scum buddies to join in with him, then if Strykker dies, we get a three-for-one coupon (ka-ching 2+2=5). It's a big risk, and I doubt the Mafia would want to take it.
Strykker's ability doesn't necessarily guarantee his innocence (it could be a bonus ability of a mafia member... though unlikely), but I think it's reasonable to give him a chance."Only a fool quotes himself." -BrianMcQueso-

I would think that would be true if that was their only power, but they could also have additional powers that they wish to keep hidden from the scum. Having said that, I think that a secret vote is more likely to be in the hands of an anti-town player.BrianMcQueso wrote:If a pro-town player had the option of a secret vote, I would like to think they would come forward.

Sorry everybody. Not used to being in a game anymore...maybe I should quit unretiring!
I am inclined to believe Strykker right now. While he cannot one hundred percent prove his role, he can at least start to a little bit.
I'm seriously wondering about darquel personally. I've never played any games with her but it doesn't seem her style to not post. Also, the vote counts are pretty weird in and of themselves. Just a couple of quick observations.And I'm spent...-

I'll agree with you guys that the town chooseing the targets does leave somebody open to being killed. Maybe it would be a good idea to pick 3 or 4 people for me to choose from, just to make sure my role goes through.
Also my roleblocked comment was assumeing that there is a mafia roleblocker, which is not completely out of the question for a game this large.
Brian, you're right. I should not be acting stupid just because Dranko does. I just didn't really have anything to say, but i didn't want to lurk. ohhh well.I miss Puzzle.-

I buy Strykker's claim, and it's easy to prove. I think we can let Strykker choose whoever he wants tonight. Since there will be more nights in this game, any lies or deception from Strykker's side will become obvious eventually.
The only danger is really if he's scum with the ability he claimed, but I find that unlikely.

vote: replace darquiel
there's nothing i hate more than players that lurk on purpose
@logicticus
why do you say the secret vote HAS TO BE scum?!? as i am still fairly new (compared to everyone else), i'm not sure i follow this train of reasoning...
also, is there a Wiki page that describes this role...?-
