To me this is a classic Straw Man technique.StrykkerVerde wrote:I don't like how LyingBrian just showed up, explained how he knew he was lurking and that he hoped nobody would notice? That doesn't seem like a very helpful way to contribute.
You obviously didn't just use the wrong words, since your argument was entirely based on your choice of words and not on what LB actually did. If you had used the correct words, your argument would be pointless.StrykkerVerde wrote:I used the wrong words.

Let me see if I get this right. First you make an argument against one player then in the same post you advocate that the town should random lynch me instead? Why would you argue that one person is suspicious, then lobby for the lynching of another based on, as you put it "random guessing"? To me that's also highly suspicious, unless that was another of your highly successful jokes, that is.StrykkerVerde wrote:You know, we could just lynch Don Gaetano and see if my random guessing was right.-

@ StrykkerVerde
I have to agree with Don Gaetano here. LyingBrian apologized for not participating, and we have no reason not to believe his excuse. And he is posting content, so he's not a lurker. Attacking him for that is pointless. What also bothers me, is that you're still advocating lynching Don Gaetano. I get the feeling that your vote maybe isn't so random after all. Otherwise it really looks bad when you point out possible scummy behaviour of player A and then say we should randomly bandwagon player B.

K, something crazy is goin on with the votes. First there were two votes being blocked, now there is an extra anon vote? I don't guess anyone is gonna fess up to this, but you usually can assume that most voting restrictions/abilities are town (Most of the time, not all the time) although i can't figure out why we would have several in a "generic" mafia game. Perhaps players who don't have "generic" roles are the mafia? In which case people with non'generic' abilities could be assumed to be scum? Or am i wrong in assuming the assumtion which i assumed?"It's not a logical inconsistency. B can't be correct because then C would be, but it doesn't go the other way - there's nothing wrong with C being correct. Aside from Twomz saying otherwise." --Mith-

You can chose to infer I know he's a power role, but I don't. Random bandwagons hit town far more often then they hit scum, and when I see them used a towny almost always ends up dead anyway.LyingBrian wrote:@chamber
so you know Fritzler is a power role? would you like to roleclaim now?

Armlx, it's not going to work if you announce it. Could you explain what you meant by your #131? Nobody asked you if you had any info on chamber.
And to Frizler: What do you mean "And chamber is"? Is he pulling a BJ? (Whatever that means...)
I don't think it's very useful to speculate about what's going on with the votes. We'll find out eventually I think. In any case, at the beginning some extra votes or non-votes won't make a difference. That may change when the game nears the end of course.-

I can't understand you at all, man. First you almost screw over the town with this acting-like-a-cop stupidity, then you decide to revive the random bandwagon for no reason other than you want to see if your stupidity works?Strykker wrote:You know, we could just lynch Don Gaetano and see if my random guessing was right.
I think the whole LyingBrian bandwagon is stupid. He may not be the biggest contributor right now, but there are people lurking far worse. Also, he hasn't been trying to lead the town astray with CrapLogic™. Vote on Strykker stands.
Also, I'd just like to say for the record right now that I have no idea what's going on here:

Ok here's the deal.
I'm playing really sloppy.
Here's why.
I have an easily provable pro-town role, that does not really help the town all that much. And if I'm night killed it's not going to hurt the town all that much. I feel secure in my role enough that I can joke around.
I have not seen anything yet that strikes me as particularly scummy.
Sorry if I'm being stupid.I miss Puzzle.-

First...
Then...Strykker wrote:Not random Vote: Don Gaetano
He's scum lynch him.
Strykker wrote:WOW
I am in no way a cop.
I just picked someone and was being a jackass.
Then more scummy reasoning on why we should vote someone else. Thats a lot of scummy reasoning.
Now, I'd still rather lynch Fritzler today for having a near perfect record in posts that don't say anything at all, while still posting a lot, it does seem pretty sus for you to be reasoning this way and throwing out comments like those above. Wouldn't you say?
Who knows what your defense implies, I wonder. Maybe you're just generic scum and you were taking chances because you enjoy the game? And stupid isn't a crime, but being scum, is. :p And whats more scummy than to accuse someone else without reason?
Random votes are one thing, saying a vote isn't random is another. We're you trying to lead the town on someone you just didn't like because you were 'secure in your role' or maybe you were role-blocked from doing something scummy or were a mafia cop or had some other night-discovered reason? Maybe you thought you could hint at something and then when everyone said oooo lets test the cop, you got scared and backed off because they'd be lynching you day 2 when you were wrong?
Now by your own admission you aren't "that important to the town". I believe this, either because you're scum or you're just generic. But then, you do seem a little sus, no?
Maybe you've latched on to your random guess of Don Gaetano because he might be viewed as a more dangerous townie to the scum (if he is in fact a townie at all, I'm not sold, but if he is, I think you could agree he might be considered dangerous)?
Anyway, who knows, its day 1, we're not getting anywhere and the whole game seems stagnant...so I'll do what I did before andunvote; vote: Strykker. Maybe with a little more pressure and discussion of things we can get the thread to pick back up.
