Also, I think I'm going to conveniently disappear before Kast shows up.
I don't care if the scumchat gets posted. You can laugh at how quickly the gamestate changed given that AH and RF were IMO valid kill targets N1 and N2. At least I correctly predicted N2 that Herodotus had already investigated me if he was the Cop.Everything you say and do matters. People will respond in ways you may never see. May those responses be what you intend.-

Urgh. Tasky had me completely fooled. I feel that my thoughts on why the gamestate could switch to AH were valid, though I do apologize for the early claim. I think the issue in this game was the fact I wasn't pro active early on. To be honest, my explanation of it was the truth... :/
Great modding, nomod. GG y'all.don't you feel silly now?-

Also agree with the fonz about the whole multi posting thing. It really defeats the point of a character limit, since it just leads to long streams of short posts that are sometimes broken up by other people's short posts rather than a single block that's easy to see the formatting of for separation and such.don't you feel silly now?-

Oh, I always thought what you were suggesting wasRayFrost wrote:Urgh. Tasky had me completely fooled. The fact that neither you nor chamber were willing to attack Tasky kinda made me think you were scum together, rightly or wrongly.
In retrospect, of course, the AH wagon was largely towndriven, but that doesn't change my thought that it was bad.-

The Fonz wrote:Oh another point was that I felt the whole multipost thing kinda made a mockery of the premise, so the game just became a reasonably normal game, but more annoying. If it were run again, I'd ban anything more than doubleposts, and require at least two other players to post in between, I think.RayFrost wrote:Also agree with the fonz about the whole multi posting thing. Time for my confession: This game was sort-of an experiment. I happened upon thinking about Mafia one day while I was txting, and thought "What if...?" and thought I'd run it.
I think the disallowing of doubleposts might be a bit too strict; although if you get a few players online and they alternate, they could communicate adequately.
I guess I'm trying to find the sweet spot between throttling communication entirely and allowing too much. If that makes sense.
I think this may evolve into a Large Theme at some point.-

I think playing this as a large will get incredibly large... there will be so many player spamming the thread, it will become an unreadable mess.
don't forget, we got 120 pages with only 12 players, can't imagine what a 20 player setup could do.
you'd really have to restrict posting in some way. (like: no triple posts and at least 2 other players posting after every two own posts). Or you could add some sort of payment for txt-usage. that way one is encouraged not to post too much. You could make each player have a limited amount of txt's per day. Or something similar.-

Oh wow, yeah you could make it, a Contract Phone Text Mafia...you have a certain number of posts per day...if people want to use it all up in triple/etc. posting then they miss out at the end...lol your problem! Or have everyone with some sort of PR and going over your contract you lose out on your night action...maybe? >_>"
I was crippled by the post restriction...I like analysing chunks and posting walls ._." But it was interesting. Made me consider a lot of mechanics-y things that I've not looked at before. Just proves that I'm not as down on my mechanics as I thought I was :p

There's a discussion in MD that mentioned that limiting posts per day can turn games into lurkerfests. Penalizing town PR's for posting too much would have a similar effect. Even VT's and mafia wouldn't want to go beyond the limit (or an estimation of the limit) as this will out them as non-PR's.
In general I didn't have much trouble keeping references straight, except for some of Kast's. I think it's because I tend to obsess about any game I'm in, which makes me remember what happened.Just because a majority of a group of people decide it's okay doesn't mean it's not murder. - Cobblerfone-

If your attempt to kill your top suspect fails, shoot your next toporshoot the person most likely to be lynched the next day. (as a vig, I tend to try and shoot who people stated suspicions of as well as the person that flipped unless the flip was scum, and even then I consider it a better option)don't you feel silly now?-

Mm. I weighed up not going after Chamber but thought I was jailkept by Equi N1 and/or that Chamber was one-time bulletproof (do they even exist on this site?). I did think about going after the general top suspect, but the general top suspect was me ._." I very nearly almost went after Kast too x_xTHE LEMON LIVES! - Cabd-

If you're drunk enough to sound like me, you should probably consider stepping away from the computer.

Agree that pretty much everyone accepting Tasky-VI-town seemed like a major point that killed us. Also agree that the MD thread about an on-going game seemed to imply Tasky-town.
Mod-
A Task modkill for a pretty cut-and-dry violation of discussing the game outside of thread would have been appropriate. I think even those of us who were townies and thought Task was town would have accepted/understood it. You had some incredible patience.
