Question: How does a chinese/japanese/korean keyboard work?
To be honest I understand very little kanji- but with this I really don't have to know it, I just have to make sure it's the right kanji if I feel like using it.-

I'm the most familiar with typing Japanese, so I'll start with that: You can type Japanese kana directly, but more common is to type the English transliteration. The kanji are typed with their reading, and if a kanji shows up that isn't the one you want, you hit a key that changes it (usually the spacebar to give it a use). If you still don't have the kanji you want, you can pick from a list. A skilled Japanese typist will go only slightly slower than a skilled English typist.Moospiker wrote:Oh yeah,

There are several ways to type Chinese. Some use a similar method to Japanese, some use a method that breaks characters down into strokes.
Korean, believe it or not, is usually written in a straightforward alphabet (just not ours). I think common combinations in Korean have their own keys, but I'm not sure and I'd have to look that up again.STRANGERCOUG: Stranger Than You!

Maybe too late, but I agree with CDB's answer. I'd say it really comes down to whether the things you add are still part of the original sentence, or not.Charlie wrote:What I had pictured in my mind the picture to be isn't the same as what I drew. Should I strive for the 'original thought', or let the picture 'evolve' itself, adding more stuff into it as I go along? Opinions appreciated.
I also have a couple of moral dilemmas about the game:
1. If the sentence I receive contains reference to a person/film/product that I haven't heard of before, should I look up that thing so that I know what it is, or just draw whatever comes to mind (which may be a struggle)?
2. What about if I have already heard of the thing, is it appropriate to look up a reference picture then?-

agreed.Papa Zito wrote:I've been using reference pictures.
Of course, what I end up with doesn't look like the original anyway sooo
the rules are:
-rule #1: no direct copypasta (even though it is at times yummy and quite nourishing)
-rule #2: no letters/words (wasn't here at the beginning, but people abused it)
-rule #3: obey rules #1 and #2. if you break them, you are also guilty of breaking this rule.
-rule #4: whoever breaks greater than or equal to 2 rules greater than or equal to 2 times, gets replaced.
-rule #5: scratch my back.
