Sorry for the disappearance. A few things have crept up on me and I'm not going to be able to give this game the attention it deserves until the weekend. Expect proper contribution from me again then."I can't not give mad props to the murderbot 9000 that was q21." - Spyrex, after Scummies Invitational 2010.
You know those times when you wish you could think of something really funny or interesting to say, but just can't?... Yep, this is one of those times.-

I'm getting bad vibes about Bub and Flameaxe, but its also that I don't understand their most recent voting thought processes. So I'll try to elaborate on these vibes.
@Bub: Why did you vote StrangerCoug? Is this a temporary vote, like would you still prefer to vote BlackBerry, or is this a vote you think you should stay on?
It looks like you didn't understand his vote post, or didn't like the explanation he gave. So you voted by asking him to explain. But I don't see how that warrants a vote on its own, unless you are also not explaining your position.
@Flameaxe: Why do you think an overreaction of a joke wagon is a good place to start? What could have been the cause or purpose for Espy unvote like that if he was scum?
You place your vote but don't add anything new to that discussion. You seem very interesting in the game's activity and direction, but I don't see you translating that interest into any action on your part.
And a minor issue, cateraction hasn't given his opinion on anything content-related yet. He only has 2 posts, but still its something I'm aware of and don't feel good about right now.-

1. You didn't answer my question by blanket statement saying everyone needs pressure at some point. Why did you think that Reck needed pressure at that point in the game?drmyshottyizsik, 98 wrote:I'm shotty. But I'll assume you meant Reck, so I'll answer it like that.
1. Because everyone needs to be pressured at some point during the game.
2. I don't know how much to answer this due to you getting confused but look right here, my vote(though it didn't do much) has got us discussing, and soon will get Reck to discuss too
2. The discussion you supposedly instigated has nothing to do with Reck and his level of scumminess. How did your vote stimulate discussion?

I'm not quoting to save a potential wall-o-text. You're welcome! Everything is after my last post.
Esp 81 - Weak vote is weak, imo. This seems like a very forced vote, and the elaboration in 91 doesn't help my opinion of this. Pretty vague, pretty hypothetical, and for a second time, weak.
Bub 86 - This post makes me yell "meh". That's getting fairly common lately, I don't know why...After everything he posts against Blackberry, he jumps over to Scoug for a vote that I felt to be fine.
Moo 87 - Oh yeah...you're in this game. Got anything useful to say other than an unvote?
Cater 88 - That "meh" feeling about 86...times 100. Care to elaborate on this one please?
q21 92 - I see where this is coming from, but I personally wouldn't put it down as vote-worthy. Make the same post in question form without a vote, and you'll probably get the same answer. Then again, I haven't played with Shotty...
Reck 93 - It's been a while...Hows that post coming?
Shotty 95 - I'm glad you know what pressure does, got any suspects?
Jahudo 106 - I'm gonna quote this one for my own ease of replying.
I generally find overreactions and, on a semi-related note, blowing things out of proportions, a weak scumtell. It's something I've come to look for early in a game (RVS, a little after). I don't really see the action itself scummy, but more of the off-comment about not wanting an accidental hammer. I (having put down that 5th vote) didn't feel any risk or worry about a hammer there. It was pretty obvious that the wagon was on the large side, and unless two people came out of nowhere without reading anything came in and happened to random vote Berry. It just wasn't likely. I felt like I added my opinion to the discussion, and l don't know how much further the discussion could go at that current point beyond baseless hypothetical, and I'm really not a fan of those (Raivann lynch in the first game!).@Flameaxe: Why do you think an overreaction of a joke wagon is a good place to start? What could have been the cause or purpose for Espy unvote like that if he was scum?
You place your vote but don't add anything new to that discussion. You seem very interesting in the game's activity and direction, but I don't see you translating that interest into any action on your part.
As for "very interested", I feel that's a bit out of proportion. I made one comment, in one post, where I included myself in people that need to start talking more. I was, and am, fully aware of the lack of activity across the board in this game. Even then, in the same post, I gave what I was feeling about the bub situation. Yes, I haven't posted since then (and I'm upset that I basically ignored this game, leading to my first prod post-hiatus, I had a good run..) and I don't plan on getting into a slump like that unless I die and can't post anyway.
Shotty 110 - This whole back and forth seems terribly distracting.
Reck 111 - Be more helpful. Thanks.I'm going to go ahead and move this...Unvote, Vote: Moo. While I feel moo and Cataracts (I'm calling you this now.) are about equal content-wise, I feel moos is a lot more active lurking (mainly due to the fact that moo has more than TWO posts). Cataracts: Post moar.Defined by who I dislike, not who I like~-

Excellent job answer my actual question. Now, why did you vote for me? I didn't vote for BlackBerry because I thought he was scum, I voted for him to get the game moving in the right direction.StrangerCoug wrote:

Your #71 is a very weak reason to go after Blackberry. Voting someone for asking a theory question? Scumhunting should be priority, yes, but the theory question is not inherently scummy. It sparks discussion, which can be a town tell in its own right.
The game was stagnated both before and after. The question didn't help because it just moved any positive discussion that was even remotly occuring during the first era of stagnation toward a fail goal. Kind of like what Republicans are saying about Obama's stimulus bill, If you're into politics.Xvart wrote:Bud (post 75) - if the game was stagnated before BB asked his question, how does the question distract the town since we were stagnated?
Again, let me say that the vote on Blackberry was simply to get the game moving in the right direction.
And let me remind StragerCoug that he didn't answer my question:

Your vote is telling us you're doing the exact opposite—you're voting xRECKONERx just to pressure him.drmyshottyizsik wrote:I want to be sure before I attack someone, what's wrong with that?
I don't see how my response is unsatisfactory, for one thing.Bub Bidderskins wrote:

For another, at this stage of the game all of your votes should be for someone you suspect. 99% of the time, it's most useful to vote your top suspect. Anything along the lines of "I am going to try to fix a problem by voting the person causing it" implies that the person causing the problem is scummy. Not a bad way to go at all—in fact, it can prove excellent—but you're doing it wrong. Denying that you think the person you're voting is scum is, best case scenario, counter-intuitive.
Is anything else going past your head?STRANGERCOUG: Stranger Than You!
