also he said cop not lie detector. and earlier in the game he said something along the lines of being in the lightman group but not having a lie detector limitation on his role at all.

since we most likely arent in LYLO...i believe it's best to trust the non-cc'd cop. if Tasky is lying, we lynch a townie, but then lynch scum tomorrow. if ZeroFang is lying, we get scum today. if both are lying, the only way i'd see this was if they were both scum attempting a gambit of some sort. however we still get scum.

i cant really think of a situation where both are telling the truth, especially considering the mod-switch.

so with that in mind...

Is there someone who knows a method by which SoW can communicate to me and only to me his next night-kill-target (as soon as you decide on it)? It is vital that someone knows that target, since it would really be bad if SoW dies tonight and the information about who he targeted was lost (since it can potentially clear one player). On the other side we do not want to let scum know the target, do we?

hmm. i didnt consider that possibility. but if you are insane, then your other reads are scum...so it's worth outing them now as well. if you are paranoid, then all your reads should be scum...and you can't be naive if you have a guilty.

I am trying to find out if you are even a COP. Why you and me? Why you without a lie detector restriction? Furthermore, I am trying to understand why you think you were even at risk dying after MY claim. That just sounds completely out of place.

By cryptography, sending secret messages in open thread? Is there a tool for this, or just a structure.

Why would I send you the result and not Espeonage? But, I am not sure sending it public will be good incase there is a role block mafia.

But, all this leads to my idea about the sacrifice. I am not sure that my results and Espeonage results are completely accurate if there is a villain so powerful as to sacrifice NIGHT KILLS for LIE PROTECTION. The main reason I think this is due to the 2 nights with NO KILL. Night 2 makes the most sense in the matter. And, if that is the case, how can I just trust you.

I am waiting for more comments from more players. But, I think ZeroFang is possible scum according to the my results, and not TASKY. But, I think Narsis is for sure scum. And, we should lynch him. I favor Locke as scum over Zero.

I am not a cop. in fact, my claim was purely hypothetical.

even if there is a villain who can somehow get lie protection, you can still clear a townie. you are right about the roleblocker, of course.
But, don't forget that more information for the town is always better.

there are a lot of asymmetric cryptographic algorithms like RSA, the problem is I can't find a tool online which is simple to use and does not require downloads.

Mod Note: So far as codes go I'm going to go with the following policy:

I don't want any codes in which a cipher (provided by the code user and unbreakable without, we'll say, a computer in a reasonable amount of time (whatever that means)) is needed to break.

Basically if the code would be equivalent to a QT (with the extra public knowledge that it'd been posted in) then it's not allowed. Further, I don't want "unbreakable but verifiable" codes used to make a statement or collection of statements at some point in the game and then revealed later.

Keep in mind rule 15 (play with the spirit of the game in mind.) If you're not sure if the coding you're trying to use would break that feel free to ask me for clarification.

If anyone thinks that this is too strict or too lax and would like to make an argument now I'm happy to listen. I'm also happy to have an open discussion about what's reasonable after the game is over.
