I smell a rat. Just did a search for cowardly reporter and found zip, zero occurences other than references to this game. Looking at the wiki, it takes all of two clicks to get to it. I think Illumina checked the wiki for an appropriate role and found this.

Not true. I think you forgot about this when you went looking for a claim.

The reporter role is pretty powerful if used wisely. If you get a report on a scum, and they don't know it, they're caught if they try to claim townie... Not as powerful as a cop, but if you don't think the scum will want this ability out of the way you're fooling yourself.

I had that role at a game at the offsite one time. I nailed cocoa with it after forcing her to claim. She claimed PJV.

Not sure what you're trying to say here. I don't think anyone in this game is cleared. A claim by itself doesn't mean a whole lot. If it get some supporting evidence, then that's something else.

But, my role isn't in the Wiki, Illumnia's role is straight from the Wiki, and also, he is a newbie I believe someone said.

Yeah, that sounds good. Basically, we'll be able to test his claim with a vig, and over the course of the game he'll have to produce info which will be another way to test him. Unless the mafia has both a doc and a mafia investigator, it should be really hard for him to fake both for the length of an entire game.

I've seen mafia docs/un-nightkillable types several times. I've never seen a cowardly reporter.

Ability to dodge a vig kill != confirmation of being a cowardly reporter.
