I'm pretty sure it's randomized though so there isn't really any confirmation. So in the variant that we have here, you could have a Cop with no Deputy (a Doctor instead) or a Doctor with no Nurse (a Cop instead).

Yep, you could. It wouldn't have any Night action and would basically be the equivalent of a Vanilla Townie but that's possible.
This is what makes this game tricky when it comes to role claims.

For the record, in this setup, the existence of a cop/deputy/nurse/doc is decided at random. Massclaim confirms nothing.
I will open the thread presently.

On hiatus indefinitely. This was a nice distraction when I was working through my faith transition out of Mormonism, but I need to move on to bigger and better things now. Get to know a meat boy
For any player wishing to join an open game, i'd like them to consider replacing in Polygamist Mafia. Three players are missing, and although we have a workaround, it would be extremely nice to run at full speed. Note that this a game that lasts only two days (3 weeks per game day) and we are closing to the end of the first day (17 pages) so it should be a quite short commitment.
If you wish to replace in, you are free to choose the player slot you are replacing in, or to ask me to choose at random. Thanks for your understanding. (and sorry farside for the shameless advertisement)
Can i pre in for the next 5 person vengeful? I don't check this often enough to find when one is in signups and by the time I see it, it's full and there isn't another one for another month.

I *might* be doing one, depending on what farside gives me.

I thought about doing a vengeful myself, but there was all that talk in MD about whether a 5P was sufficient experience to mod other games, and I want to be qualified for the Newbie Queue so I got scared.
But nothing more has been said recently, so maybe I should have gone with it. I do love vengefuls.
Come in for my game though people! 2 of 4 will be good too! I'm writing some space age flavour!
Mm, that sounds reasonable-ish, although that'd still put me off modding one since I wouldn't wanna go through the twice just for the sake of doing vengefuls.

Just realised the sequence of posts looks like I'm urging charter to sign up for my game, when of course he is already signed up. Worry not, I'm not a stupid-head, the urging was general, and I'm glad you're in charter.
