Then freaking unvote and vote one of them! I'm tired of asking.
Then don't ask--it's an MD debate as to whether it's a good strategy or not. Did you read the article I posted?

I feel like I have a good grip on this game, but things are still developing. I'm very content to watch them develop.

I'm saying you should have asked for my reasons. Asking a question is the opposite of explaining something. How exactly did you mix the two? Again with the "no reason"? Really?
This is an obvious trap. Here's how the scum does it: You vote for someone and don't give a reason, opting instead to come up with it later if pressured. Then, if the townie you're voting for doesn't ask for those reasons, you go gung-ho saying "HAHA YOU MUST BE SCUM BECAUSE YOU DIDN'T ASK WHY I WAS VOTING YOU." Nice try bro.
Why aren't you voting for mykonian for "lying" about the same thing?
Because mykonian didn't decide to base a vote on me by calling my vote OMGUS.
Also, decide, it's either a policy lynch vote or you voting for me being scummy. Good job at failing.
Lynch all liars is a great policy. I use it all the time.

It's a debate as to whether self-voting is a good strategy? Yeah, I don't buy that.
Which article? The one on reasoning?

My vote was never on you because you didn't ask why I was voting for you. How would that ever be a reason for voting for someone? I voted for you for keeping your vote on me after RVS for not giving any reasons while not even caring what those reasons were. There was nothing scummy about you ignoring my vote on you. There is something scummy on you basically voting me back for me voting for you and not asking anything.
Because mykonian didn't decide to base a vote on me by calling my vote OMGUS.
Your vote was not OMGUS when it was cast. It became OMGUS when you left it on me for OMGUS reasons.
Lynch all liars is a great policy. I use it all the time.
You didn't answer my question. Policy lynching =/= lynching scummy players.

My vote was never on you because you didn't ask why I was voting for you.
Then why was it on me?
I'm not going to answer anything else you say until you answer me first. This:
@The Scorp Fos/Vote: I've seen him react to pressure and I thought it would be a good place to put some to get reactions. Once I voted he voted right back instead of asking for reasons
Is not acceptable because it is a lie. I want a better answer.

And explain how my vote was OMGUS while this:
I voted for you for keeping your vote on me after RVS for not giving any reasons while not even caring what those reasons were.
Isn't.

unvote
Vote: Jack
because I'm still missing how what you're doing is pro-town and you refuse to explain it.

Again with the "no reason"? Really?

Why aren't you voting for mykonian for "lying" about the same thing?
Because myko didn't think that situation scummy, if it had occurred.

another point to add to the stef-case: a clear cut deflection.

Stef wrote:@Antihero: It is scummy because of the OMGUS. Him invoking another game for not asking me why I voted for him is just fluff. Not defending yourself whatsoever is anti-town.
Where do you get this? I disagree.
I would never let an unexplained vote on me without even trying to find out what's behind it. My vote was not crap vote, fine, not a great one but still not crap and how could have scorp know if it's crap or not without asking?
Again, why does the burden of proof fall onto scorpion? If you want to be taken seriously, you need to explain why you think something is indicative of alignment (as we've seen with DavidParker). Not doing so, and then retroactively blaming the person you accuse is just stretching to me.
Also, my vote on mykonian was not OMGUS. Voting for the person voting for you =/= OMGUS.
Of course you're not going to say that you're voting mykonian because he's voting you. I just think that from the stupid reason you gave with your vote. mykonian isn't "lying," which is an inappropriate word to use here. Voting with an illogical reason is equivalent to not having a reason.
Stef wrote:@Antihero: I asked you something here. Would you mind elaborating?
After thinking about it, jelly is right in that the actual rolefisher here would be Jack. I'll concede that point to you.
Or is it just easy to jump on the biggest wagon while bringing no contribution?
That wasn't the reason for my vote. Also, no contribution?
My responses in blue, I just thought this would be easier on the eyes than a quote wall.

Jack, I'm not. Playing the mafiaSSK way (strategic lurking as town) is mostly a selfprotecting way of play, rather then townie. If you want a theory debate, you can get it.

assuming each player adds something to the discussion (new ideas, new cases, etc), it is in the towns benefit that everybody joins in the creation of information. How this information is generated or what is done with it initially doesn't really matter (as in, you can totally lie about your intentions there, if you can get away with it), but as long as it is analysed before the end of the day, you are doing fine. On this moment, Jack, you are not creating. In a way you are holding back town, and that is certainly a disadvantage. I don't believe so much in pressure votes, so that selfvote doesn't matter as much to me, and if you are here before the end of the day with reads, I'm happy too. But in the meantime, I'd like you to discuss, to ask questions, to propose strategies, etc. Even if you don't care about them or if you think they are actually false.
Surrender, imagine and of course wear something nice.

@ HC
I would say about that post "goodposting". He makes a very valid point about mykonian, but since he's voting for RC it's not too important to current events.
About that "discrepancy" I would just say ignore the "at this point". It wasn't supposed to mean "right now", so I guess it was a poor choice of words.
unvote vote: RC

Thought I already did this.

The Stef vs. mykonian post you linked me to.

It was supposed to just say that he didn't have a lot to go on at the point he was confident in his reads. So "at this point" I guess could be changed to "at that point" or some such thing.
