I don't see that saying "there might be a doctor" is going to help the scum, regardless of how likely it is. Even if you think it will send the scum looking for doctors, there's no reason that scum would want to do that (they'd just look for doctors without announcing it). This is pretty weak justification for finding mallow's setup speculation scummy, and makes me think I was right that you were just looking for some mud to sling at mallow.

I struggle to see why mallow would play as he did on the flippancy from any perspective. I think that lying is a scumtell; but when I just don't understand what a player was thinking (as here), my instinct is that it's a nulltell. I don't think the image of mallowscum thinking that his play was a good way to get a mislynch or defend himself rings true.

I've looked at llamaeatataco and mallowgeno, my top two suspects, in ISO. llamaeatataco seems to be going a bit up and down, while mallowgeno hasn't really done a lot of scumhunting and never gave a satisfactory answer to my counterattack on him. I also don't like his starting the day with his sudden jump on Jack, dead or alive.

Pretty much the same motivation scum has in voting anybody not on their team, which, ironically, is the same reason town votes people—they're sufficiently scummy targets. But the more important answer is that there is no indication that he took the three deaths so far into account. Jack was just plain scummy, so if he was vigged (the already admittedly more likely probability of mafia killing Jack is odd to me), he ignored it completely and kept gunning.

We had two kills. One kill was given with arson flavor. One dead player was a town firefighter. I think its a safe assumption we have an arsonist. Mafia + arsonist = two.

?!? 'He thinks some guy I think is scummy has been shifting up and down on the scum scale, he must be scum.' As for motivation, There isn't much. But it's certainly anti-town to tunnel on someone so bad that you vote without reading the thread, and the arsonist wouldn't know the scum's kill choice.

Obviously, not knowing Jack is dead is something that's eminently fakeable from scum. But from my experience, scum never actually fake anything like that. I think mallow voting Jack is a good indicator that he didn't kill him.

1. I was leaning towards not believing it but honestly I really didn't put much thought into it because it was really strange. The fact that he gave him an out with the whole miller flavor thing was weird. I figured it was just some reaction thing.
2. To appear town? Based on his play so far, I doubt mallow would have the foresight to fake a post like that; but I also can't completely discount it because it would be something so easy to do. It was only two words after all. And I guess as SC suggested, if it is a sound indicator that mallow is not mafia, that doesn't necessarily eliminate him from being the arsonist.

I like my vote on Anon even more now. Pretending you're king of the town is one thing, but this is ridiculous.

I rarely discriminate between mafia and SK when I try to scumhunt. Now that I feel I have it straight, mallowgeno is the most likely arsonist to me. As for most likely Mafiate, I agree with you in regards to llamaeatataco.

@Anon, I agree with Fishy re. Jack's claim. It was always an obv. gambit to me. (Also, he would only have been killed for it if Mallow was scum which he probably isn't. The claim was unimportant)
