I actually see jack's point, about quick days, going back through the games I have played on my other site, I noticed the same trend.

It wasn't the hammer. DMSIS is
not
smart enough to pretend to be hammered and say "welp I'm town" as scum.

but the odds of actually nailng scum day 1 is very rare so getting through the day with just a nilla townie is considered a safe lynch.

I may sound scummy but the logic is true.

so now we run somebody else up the flag pole and hope they are scum, but if they are a cop or a doc or something else, we will all go, DAMN lynching the nilla wasn't so bad afterall but I will play along, I would much rather nail scum

we had not lynched anyone yet, so no I don't think we had lynched anyone yet but running up another person and getting them to claim may not give us such luck next time. we may get mafia, but we may get the doc, bodyguard, cop, or some other power role.

I have seen players like Papa Zito, who is a DAMN good mafia player use the same strategy.

getting through day 1 with a mafia lynch or a nilla townie lynch are your best odds

the chance you actually hit scum on day 1 is pure luck.

I seriously doubt that, tbh. I've played with DMSIS.

so am I really in the minority here? lynching a nilla townie is not considered an acceptable loss on day 1?

if I was mafia, why would I settle for just a nilla townie, why not go with the pack and and hope to out a power role. I'm trying to protect the power roles from being outed, those who insist on running up another person are the ones I fos.

and here Jack and friend are just proving my point, they would much rather run up everyone until they out every single power role.

Jack is also contradicting himself, he says he wants a quick lynch yet he has the opportunity to get out with a quick lynch and not kill anyone of value, yet he back pedals

But why do you doubt it? I don't find it the least bit out of line with his play so far.

@drmyshotty: mind giving us a rundown of what you think of all the players so far?

Scott is posting in other games.

Why do you think it takes thought? That doesn't jive with my experience...it's a fairly basic tactic.

drmyshotty, have you ever seen scum pull a gambit where they acted like they had been lynched even though they hadn't?

ok well than you guys play different here.

personally i don't like games where we out power roles early unless they have info, i don't see how that makes me scummy though.
