@llama: in 475 I thought Raivann was the only possible lynch, and to have my vote elsewhere was to risk a mislynch. My read didn't change between 475 and 489, I just realised that we don't need majority at deadline.

@BB: I've explained my change of heart on Raivann. Basically, I realised I was attacking him for things that scum have no more motive to do than town. In particular, I'm not convinced that rampant OMGUS or blatant lack of effort are things scum have any more reason than town to do.

Anyway, it seems deadline has passed, so we'll see. Here's hoping I'm wrong

It was so obvious, Sheila Gibbs, the drive by fishmonger, had the means and just enough contact with every single person within the town to be able to pull off these gastly murders and drive off quickly without any suspicion arising. So what to do with this obvious mafioso? The idea came from one of the old dusty decorative books, that live on the old dusty bookshelf at the bar. The remaining townsfolk gathered at the top of the nearby cliff and pushed Sheila off into the pounding waves below. Poor Sheila never had a chance. Only afterwards did they think of checking the van. Unfortunately all it contained was fish.

Steven Goodrem was not in his house. He never stayed in the house, with his "family". Except he had lost love with them. The land was the only thing he loved now. He would protect the land with his life from those damn poachers. Gun in hand, he was out on his night shift around the forest he was the owner of. Well into the night, he finally caught one of the nasty poachers killing his pheasants, he cocked his gun and yelled at the mysterious figure to leave his land. The mysterious figure laughed and told him, he would have to shoot. So thats what Steven did. Except it didn't work. The mysterious figure laughed and promptly shot Steven.

Back in the town, teacher John Craig was driving home from his part time job as one of the area's team of part time fire fighters. It was a boring night, not even a false alarm. He had sat in the office, reading his book, watching tv but not actually fighting any fires. So, he went home exhausted and bored and just needing his bed. He fell straight into a deep sleep, he dreamt about his teaching job and how his financial situation caused him to have to take the fire fighting gig. He dreamt of a towering inferno, he tried to put it out but couldn't even dampen the flames, it was getting so hot, he couldn't do anything. In the midst of the flames, he saw a bed. With someone screaming, so loud, suddenly he realised who it was, himself. He woke up screaming to find his dream a reality......

Wow, so reading last night. I came to the conclusion of a Fishy-Flameaxe-StrangerCoug team.

Mostly because of Fishy's behavior striked me as scum. And reading through their posts, Stranger and Fishy don't comment much about the other two. And Flameaxe straight out voted those two at the very beginning as random votes (not really much to go off of, just could be a good distancing technique).

But now with two killing teams, I am no longer sure at all.

This is important to me: Is the Arsonist person most likely to be a loner type of role? And the shot most likely to be the mafia?

Is it possible the arsonists ARE the mafia, and the shot is a vigilante or serial killer or something?

Does it sound like a Paranoid Gun Owner shot Jack? Pretend Jack wasn't a Vanilla Townie, if it had come up that he had a power role that he could target someone, would you think it was a Paranoid Gun Owner?

I've looked at llamaeatataco and mallowgeno, my top two suspects, in ISO. llamaeatataco seems to be going a bit up and down, while mallowgeno hasn't really done a lot of scumhunting and never gave a satisfactory answer to my counterattack on him. I also don't like his starting the day with his sudden jump on Jack, dead or alive.

I am used to playing Mafia with a group of people in person. The one time we did use an arsonist we had two arsonists working together like a mafia.

There are quite a few things I wish to say, but I am going to be smart for once (LOL) and wait for more people to post their thoughts and opinions.

That's true, but what happened to the recap? Would Raivann's and Mitsuru Kirijo's deaths keep mallowgeno's opinion about Jack the same? Certainly that must change the game plan at least a little bit. I find the Mafia killing Jack a bit odd since he was acting scummy enough to trip a number of people's radars, but along that line that makes the best sense right now. I do not think Jack was vigged for balance reasons.

Yes, that is why I drew the conclusion there was an arsonist of sorts (although the burn does hint at it, a firefighter role solidifies it).
