Ah yes, I see. I didn't even notice: me and my role are the same gender, masculine. <He says in a deep and resonant baritone.>Mitsuru Kirijo wrote:I think it's more to do with what gender you've been given in your role PM as opposed to the gender of your actual tarot.Yes, my fake claim is Innocent Aligned with the Town win condition as per the mod's first post.-

(Oooh, double ninja.)
Every card has a gender, but that's not what I was talking about. And I didn't realize there were no vanillas. I guess I don't mind saying I was one of those confused people too. Here are some basic attributions in case such becomes important later for determining role-interactions...

Not game relevant, but check out the Fool card in your deck. The little dog yipping at his heel is in the shape of the letter Aleph.Mitsu wrote:No, it doesn't make a whole lot of sense. Um, I'm feminine.
Also, confirm.
And also, if The World is in this game, you know what you must do. It is possible I have The World but obviously I wouldn't reveal this if I did, nor do I expect anyone else to. (Cause I know some of you fuckers are going to call my joke here rolefishing)"Never have I seen anybody glorify their own lynch."

Hey guys.
The first thing we should do, for anyone who actually knows anything about Tarot Cards, is to compile a list of "liklely a Power Role" "likley scum" and "likley VT"."Animorpherv1's posts are so powerful that prolonged exposure may cause vertigo, nausea, acute tinnitus, and in rare cases, death." - vonflare

I figure that is would cut down on the number of fakeclaims for cards that scum would have.
How about "likely town" "likely scum" and "likley netiher"?"Animorpherv1's posts are so powerful that prolonged exposure may cause vertigo, nausea, acute tinnitus, and in rare cases, death." - vonflare

Tell me, ani. Have you played a dram game before? Because I've played two. And dram provides fakeclaims if they are necessary in my experience. Given he's running a theme around Tarot mafia, if there ARE scummy or townie cards, dram has compensated for this.
I think all you're going to do is cause great problems for town and power roles. I think the flavor speculation will also distract from scumhunting."Never have I seen anybody glorify their own lynch."

I understand now. If I had to claim my cards right now, I'd probably get lynched/Night Killed.
As long as you didn't post that with the mal intent, it's fine."Animorpherv1's posts are so powerful that prolonged exposure may cause vertigo, nausea, acute tinnitus, and in rare cases, death." - vonflare

Intent? Perhaps I've underestimated you.
I don't often hear people talk of intent, when that's really the core of what you're looking for in mafia. Too often people quantify "scumtells". All that does is tell you the most active player is scum. Or one of the most active. With intent, you can catch lurkers, active lurkers, active players. Overall, the scum. Admittedly, I'm still trying to figure out how to read intent without slipping into piling scumtells on someone.
Heh, sorry, this seems like a weird digression but it struck me ^-^;."Never have I seen anybody glorify their own lynch."

That's why I play with my gut more often than I play with logic (TBH, I played SWN II by gut). You can't use logic to find out that someone's post doesn'tlook rightdespite it having no scumtells in it. I mean, I do use logic to an extent, but, most often, I'll go after a post that doesn't feel right more often. Gut always overules logic, IMO."Animorpherv1's posts are so powerful that prolonged exposure may cause vertigo, nausea, acute tinnitus, and in rare cases, death." - vonflare

This is where we disagree. Intent can be logically deduced. In fact, it often is. You should see me ask often "How does this action or post benefit scum?" when someone is accusing someone else. I also try my hardest to ask myself such questions when I'm making a case. Logically, scum will do things that benefit scum. The trick is figuring out how, because of WIFOM and the like, the answer isn't always obvious."Never have I seen anybody glorify their own lynch."

Cause we are broken
What must we do to restart
Our innocence?
I suck at making cases. I just tend to point out posts that feel scummy to me instead.
Also, recently, I seem to be doing a half decent job at avoiding being on town lynches. I'm proud of myself. Be it I wasn't even supposed to be alive, but I still avoided being on two town lynches."Animorpherv1's posts are so powerful that prolonged exposure may cause vertigo, nausea, acute tinnitus, and in rare cases, death." - vonflare

Well, we shall see who's method prevails!
Also, that is one syllable off from being a haiku. I'd give you points for effort but you'd be lynched if it were tiebreaker."Never have I seen anybody glorify their own lynch."

Yes, Yes we shall then.
Also, that was by complete accident. I was actually listening to Paramore's We Are Broken at the time, and writing down some of the lyrics."Animorpherv1's posts are so powerful that prolonged exposure may cause vertigo, nausea, acute tinnitus, and in rare cases, death." - vonflare

I don't like how your discussion went from rolefishing to mod WIFOM. I don't think the correct way to describe my playstyle is gut, but as town it is spontaneous, so the playstyle discussion is a null tell.STRANGERCOUG: Stranger Than You!

Where'd you get Mod WIFOM? I wasn't trying to do such a thing.
For that matter, roelfishing? No, I was trying to eliminate potential fakeclaims for the mafia. Because if they do get those "bad Tarots" then they might wanna claim a good one, and someone may counterclaim it, therby catching a scum."Animorpherv1's posts are so powerful that prolonged exposure may cause vertigo, nausea, acute tinnitus, and in rare cases, death." - vonflare
