That doesn't make any sense... why would we vote someone else to be lynched by declaring them to be the most pro-town? I would assume enough votes for Nobody Special could negate votes he had already gained, and likely drop him enough to put someone with more votes against him into the lynch position.

Honestly, I don't understand the system at all though. What's the point of voting during the day if Twilight votes are what really matter?

No, but lynching is decided by a bare majority, therefore if somebody gets all the pro-town votes during twilight, the person with the second-most lynch votes during the day gets lynched when twilight ends.


In practice, people will rarely believe that somebody is the most pro-town if they get the lynch majority. This does make it easier for scum to shift it to a close bandwagon, and to change the target at lylo especially. At the same time, town can prevent quicklynch victories.

It took a little while to decide, but they made finally thought the best course of action and defense would be to seek sanctuary at the castle. A strong sense of forbodden hit them as they pushed open the heavy wooden doors. There was no need to knock, they owners had disappeared long ago - coincidentally, at the same time as they demons began appearing. What that meant, they didn't know.

The large group of 20, cautiously made their way down the dark, dismal hallway. Haylen observed her surroundings as thoroughly as possible, it was difficult when there was no light. She knew these halls like the back of her hand, anyway, used to visit here and play with the owners young children when she was a child herself. She knew about 20 metres up ahead was a grand hall, majestic in every way. But that wasn't her favourite room. No, her favourite was on the floor above. She called it "The Mirror Room."

"Oi, Rena." Nikanor whispered loudly, disturbing her from her thoughts. "Just above your right shoulder is one of those candle stick holder things. Pick it up and light the damn candles."

"My name ISN'T Rena." She whispered back, turning around she ran her hands lightly over the wall at shoulder height to find what Nikanor had pointed out to her - she heard him chuckle behind her.

Feeling her glasses slipping, she pushed them back on her nose, fuming at her companions' insolence. Her other hand hit something metal and oddly shaped. Presuming it was the candle stick holder, she grasps the metal pole and fumbled around trying to find the wick of the candle. Upon it's discovery, she concentrated on it and whispered

, a warm flame burned on the candle and consequently illuminated the hallways.

She looked at the others faces in the dim light, they looked kind of scared. "Come on, guys, there's a massive hall up here where we can make up camp and sleep.

Battle Mage gave a sigh, "You're telling me, we're staying in this huge castle and we don't get to sleep in proper beds?"

"Would you like to wake up in the night, all alone, to a demon eating you?" She replied.

"Uh, Hayl, most demons don't eat people." Adrien said tapping on her shoulder, making her jump out of her skin.

She frowned "That's a technicality."

They came to a giant set of doors, they looked like they were made from real silver. Difficult to open too.

"It's because they're made with a Silver alloy called Argentium Sterling Silver." Haylen responded when one of the group voiced their indignance at the heaviness of them. "What? I knew the owners." She asked, seeing their curious looks. "Anyone know any sorcery that could open these?"

"I do." Zazie spoke up.

Within no time, they were gazing astounded at the beauty of the grand hall before them. Upon entrance, all of the candles had lit up, revealing to them the wonder of this great place. 20 foot tall stain glass windows lined the wall opposite them, gold statues littered the hall, the walls seemed to sparkle in the candle light and looking up - small jewels could be seen embedded in the ceiling. Diamond, topaz, amythyst. Every rare mineral was there.

"Come on," Haylen smiled at the others, "I think this should be our base. Don't leave here unless it is absolutely necessary."

They closed the doors behind them and started making themselves comfortable. Who knew how long they would be there.

Making sure the others were busy doing whatever they were doing, for long enough as a distraction, Haylen slipped behind a banner on one of the side walls. Behind it, there was a secret passage. She could barely fit there now, it was about a foot wide and very dark. Knowing there were steps, she very carefully put one foot in front of the other and began to ascend them - hopefully nobody noticed she was gone, she could hear their talking, it didn't seem worried yet.

A small light appeared at the end of the tunnel.

Is this death?

She thought to herself. That wasn't a new thought, it was one she often used to have in this passageway.

Reaching the top of the stairs, and the light, she pulled across another banner and smiled to herself. Her favourite place: The Mirror Room. A thousand mirrors lined the place, even talls ones in the middle of the room. She wasn't vain enough to enjoy them because she could look at herself. It was the potential they had. Mirrors were masters of trickery and illusion.

She found her favourite mirror, a very tall one, a gold frame lined it's edge. She reached out a hand to touch it and met...nothing. Where there should have been glass, there was just air. This should have shocked her, but it was an experience she was used to.

What shocked her, was when her reflection started moving of it's own accord. First it wink at her...that was kind of spooky. She put it down to a trick of the light. Then her whole arm started moving, beckoning her to get closer. Intrigued and unable to do otherwise, she did. She began panicking. This wasn't the sort of sorcery she was used to. It felt...evil.

She tried to turn back...go back to everyone else. But couldn't. Her own hands wrapped themselves around her neck, pulling her closer and closer to the void. Managing to pull her hand up, she conjured a fireball and threw it...

She entered the room with calm deliberation, a huge pile of food in her arms. The other people in the room rushed over to her, unloading the heavy weight from her arms.

"Thanks, Rena. Where'd you find this?" The bald man asked her.

She replied smiling, "The kitchens, where else?"

"Hey, Nikanor! I found your favourite!" A voice on the other side of the room called. The eyes of the man in front of her lit up as he bounded away.

It didn't take long before an argument broke out. It was inevitable really, as they had found out over the past few weeks. A letter had arrived from the demon realm, threatening their very existance. It basically said

Try to find us. We are amongst you. Kill one person per day and hope it's us. Or we will kill you first.

Each day, they had killed one of their own. No one really knew who would be next. What was worse was they woke up and always found another dead body with them. Again, one of their friends.

That looked like it was going to happen again today. Hey, at least the demons were polite enough to tell them what they were going to do and give them an ultimatum - even if the act of killing was incredibly rude.

Today it looked like it would be Nobody Special.

They pulled him up by his throat, choking him. A rope was tied around his neck, a person pulling on either end. His face started turning blue and his eyes began watering, only a gargling sound could be heard coming from him. Eventually, the terror left his eyes and a glassy expression of death was the only thing existing in them now.

Nobody Special Was lynch Day One. He was a Thomas Crapper (the dude who invented the flushing toilet), a mere Human.

"Heaven help us." Rena whispered.

Another point of attention is your passivity. Just look at your own posts. NS was either very scummy or very townie to you. Eventually, you vote NS, because you think DGB is town. And Ani is telling the truth about his claim or is town according to you. You did state with Ani that you'd consider lynching, but you never got to that part. The only other opinions stated are on Toogy and Chrono. However, both are based upon unjustified reasons (With 1 or 2 exceptions based upon Toogy) The thing is that Toogy was only discussed by you as he was one of the 2 top suspects.

And now to a serious point: Passiveness.
By heart, I remember Mae, TL and Adrien. To those who wonder what I mean with this, I ask a rhetorical question: When you want to ask a question about a specific event, who would you ask about it? The players connected to it or in general?
My answer would be the players connected to it as those are most likely to know the answer, while other players would need to guess.
So Mae and TL (EDIT: Sharkfinn), why did you ask about Heaven in general?
TL and Adrien, why didn't you ask BM about his extra item?

That's for what happened in the past, now something that just happened. Post 633. This post made by TL shows us a nice attempt to point fingers. However, when looking back, we know that TL was also wrong about NS. So why the need to state that CSL and DGB were wrong?
Depending on your answers, this might come back later on.

Another player that has caught my attention is Starbuck due to her DGB votes. So I've got one question for you:
You've played with DGB before. How is this DGB-scum instead of DGB-town?
