I'd defineitly buy cards, and maybe a t-shirt based on how it looks. I like the idea of players being on each drawing. (I call cult leader).

Someone could probably just host the images or something and you could probably get those done yourself, I think...

I wouldn't mind helping with the designs of the mafia deck, as I am working on one myself.

I voted awhile back, but I will sound off in here, too: I would certainly buy a shirt and some cards, especially if they were customized. (Think about this: the Mafia cards have the avatars of some players, Townies some others, etc... how cool would THAT be?)

My nromal one isn't copyrighted, unless I can somehow copyright my own eyes.

(IANAL) You could probably copyright a picture you took of your own eyes, as long as you had your permission.

(Mine's too much of a grey area, though.)

No, you own the copyright even if you don't give yourself permission. The photo taker owns the copyright no matter what (in the US).

I would definetly buy a few packs of playing cards!

(I like the idea of putting regular suit/numbers in the corner or something so they can double as regular playing cards)

I also like the idea of having player/avatars as roles, but I think it may make some people offended that they were 'left out', because we obviously couldnt include everybody from the site.

You're example set of cards seem kind of cool --- maybe we could expand on that by providing different role names for ALL roles (Im sure we could think of several vigalantes, Masons, Townies, etc...) But that may change the game dynamic (I claim Vigilante... Which one? um..... darn ya got me)

Yes, that was the point of making them generic, really. It's simple enough to ban claiming which card you have, but it could still get a bit annoying.

Cards are going to be a bit difficult anyway. Unless there are enough people interested, we may be looking at something like $20 per deck. Card printing companies are not set up to do a small run of cards. I'm still looking into possibilities, it just may be a bit of a wait before I have anything specific. It shouldn't matter what design they have on them though (i.e. it won't be cheaper to have a bunch of generic townies than to have townies with avatars or something).

T-shirts... hopefully I'll have things organized in time for Christmas? No promises. Still some things to work out there.

My friend owns a screen printer... I'm sure he'd be willing to do the T-shirts for a reasonable fee, if you're interested.

If you like, I can ask him how much he'd want to do the shirts and get back to you. It'd depend on the number of colors you want and the type of shirts, of course...

Just talked to the abovementioned friend... here's a paraphrased version of his answer:

Basically, he can do anything consisting of solid colors... no photos, shading, etc. It seems to me that any of our more artistically-gifted scummers (and there certainly do seem to be a lot of them) should be able to take the mafiascum logo and convert it to a solid-color format without much difficulty. Of course, since I don't have the skills myself, I very well could be making this up out of whole cloth.

He also said that if we do 100 or more shirts, he'll waive the setup cost and just charge us for the shirts and a bit for labor... which won't come to much at all. I'm not sure if the intention for these shirts is to generate revenue for the site or just create a cool thing for us to own as scummers... so I will refrain from posting exact costs in the thread, but I can assure you that the final cost will be reasonable regardless.

Let me know if you want me to move forward with this.
