Nomininating Mr. Flay for the "Name should be in Orange" award for tireless behind the scenes work involving PHP coding, the Wiki and generally everything else that happens on this site.
My posts are best read in the calm, reassuring voice of Morgan Freeman. I don't sound anything like him, but they sound best that way.

Temporarily retiring following the end of my current obligations.

I didn't just make that nomination out of adulation.
There's basically no reason for anyone else to be nominated for the award given your work with the move. This isn't the first year you've been the shoe-in for it, either. You may as well just permanently have it.~

I know we're kinda wandering far afield from the purpose of this thread, but try to see things from my perspective.
  1. I'm disgusted that so many things
    didn't
    get done before the transition.
  2. Remember, I may have done a lot in the last month, but much of it should have been handled in the 18 months beforehand. I plain forgot some things, some things didn't work like I expected them to, and my life basically exploded in the months leading up to the move so I couldn't push through a bunch of the last-minute things.
  3. I'm a hack; JEEP's much better at this stuff, but he's not around right now. There are much better PHP coders on the site, several of whom I'm leaning on for getting stuff done. I've just got the access/mith's trust to actually implement it, but half of what you're seeing doesn't come from my brain.
  4. There are lots of other people working hard behind the scenes. Once we get up and running closer to 100%,
    I'll
probably be making some nominations for orange names.
I appreciate the confidence you guys have, I just would feel extremely bizarre about some sort of 'attributed' award.

I agree with Vi. Flay, not everything worked out right, we can all say that, but you front-lined the work to get everything up and running again. Also, not everything is always going to work once you add 10 000 members.

I can guarantee you that Steve Jobs is not the best programmer at Apple, but his work pulls everything together...

Nominate
Hoopla for Best Role Claim in Mini 973
. Seriously was great and probably the most effective use of the Vengeful townie possible. Great job.

I'd probably nominate the game for something too, need to think what though? Most enjoyable game? Or Yabba for the Smooth Operator mebbe.
are you thinking of me when you're with somebody else?

Giving Hoopla nom above a
second
, as mod mind you, but I think she's quite deserving.

It's just absolutely brilliant. I saw this climax coming and it still made me laugh hysterically when it came.

I'll
third
that, she played the claim up perfectly and made the game pretty much unwinnable for scum going into LyLo.

Agree with the three above about hoopla and with Faraday about Yabba and the game. How about a "Creative use of roles by a Mod in a Mini-Normal" category
