I did leave clues in the vignettes. Were they strong ones? Not particularly. Like I've said quite a few times, I primarily did them for fun. I'm not seeing where you're having a problem.

Why did you let Ythan needle you? I know it's a little hypocritical but one of the best things a pro town player can do is forcibly drop and argument and ignore all attempts to revive it (caveat: As long as no new information is brought to the table)
