I wanted to know if there was another larger reason for Farside suddenly jumping from "cold day in hell when I unvote this guy" to starting the Faraday bandwagon. It must have been something I missed because I made a case on you earlier.

Basically, it's part self-preservation, part stronger read, part "blind faith", and part chickening out on lynching Espeonage.

I will admit that my Esp vote was almost completely based on self-preservation.

Sorry for the unexpected V/LA there; became really busy for a bit.

Anyways, not much has happened, but the bolded (while being able to be taken two ways) shows to me an openness that I feel reflects on a townie. The more I focus on just his posts, the more I don't like him for scum.

Faraday hasn't done anything redeeming and I'm not sure what Jahudo is doing..

For starters, I don't think his plan to deal with Pom was scummy. She looked like a good lynch to me.

I have no problem with him seeing BV as town and wanting to lynch Richard. I was the same way, and think his thought process was just like mine. Would I be a pretty good wagon? Why have I slipped by?

And I don't see his lurking as scummy, but just limited access that also affects other ongoing games apparently.

So I guess the reasoning is down to him not offering anything, and not finding scum yet. Maybe he's trying to lie low, but I've been reading it as non-alignment factors like lack of time and commitment.

Fair enough. Some pro-town people thought Pom was scum. There was certainly something of the scum about her play.

But nobody liked the Pom lynch as much as scum did. Don't forget that they KNEW Pom was a pro-town power role. They wanted the lynch more than anyone else.

Also i wasn't really up for lynching her at first, it became clear however that her role couldn't be confirmed or used due to the likelyhood of scum being able to mess up any plans.

As I said at the time, directing the hider would have given scum a two-for-one night kill.

I pondered on that for a while - naturally he was in trouble and needed something special to dig himself out of a hole.

Perhaps he felt that by taking a punt on me, who was his most vocal antagonist at the time, he might get me off his case and the town would fall in line behind.

What I don't get is why he didn't claim to have copped us both. Unless he had some

actual

information about my actions Night 1, it's such a counterable claim that I still don't really see the merit.

Even having sprung up a defence of Esp on L-1, my read of him is the most swingy.
Faraday is next. He declared townreads on almost everyone? Liked that as town though.
Sera's D1 is still townish.

Try not to do this WIFOM. I did the same thing as scum once, fake claiming saying I was a cop. I proclaimed a player in the game town (that I knew was town) the town upon lynching me that day went after the player I proclaimed town and proceed to lynch him.
Great for the scum team, bad for town.

Because that's not what the plan came down to and your failure to see that baffles me. It could have resulted in 2 town deaths, but that would have meant a)a controlled scum nightkill on a player who they wouldn't have likely wanted to kill and b)at least a lynch isn't wasted on Pom this way.

I don't buy Espy's claim at all, mostly because he said it was his role was 'Vanilla Townie', even though earlier in the game by a townie death, it showed the role was named 'Villager' here. =/

Yeah I don't think this is telling. having said that the claim really does nothing for me either. We've already seen Bv claim vanilla as scum, too.

I'm starting to like bobz, faraday, sera scum team at this point. Bobz could be replaced by Nick or Juahno.
In short I would lynch faraday or Sera today based on some interesting interactions on the vote count and reactions to people voting Faraday.

farside, here is my first hiccup with you? If you could lynch Sera, why would you derail his wagon to wagon Fara? Your unvote/vote of Sera would put him closer to a lynch, however, your unvote.vote of Fara just tied up the Esp/sera wagons..

I thought he was town Day 1…and I could have excused today’s voting hoping as survival, but his most recent plays are looking just plain scummy. Also Esp is town. Fara's wagon looked good at first, but now, not liking the looks and speed which it formed.
