The case, such as it is, rests on two things:

a) He's that one guy you could barely remember was in the game
b) He was last on ksun, and today hopped on the Anon and Richard wagons for seemingly no other reason than they looked like they were going to succeed.

With 17 alive, its 9 to lynch.

Zoraster was lynched day 2. He was a
mafia odd night doctor
.

It was a slow day as days go. But like yesterday, someone had to be given to the Sphinx to pay for the blood spelt.

Sphinx:
Come forth, citizens. Your babbling has driven me to choose for you.

And in a matter of moments, it lunged outwards and snatched forth Zoraster. It glared upwards to the sky and announced that,

"
He was most certainly evil
."

Dawn.

2 dead.

Vengeance must be taken.

Find the killers.

Your time is short.

Furcolow, the
Town BodyGuard
, was cut to pieces night 2.

Shanba, the
Odd Night Vig
, was shot night 2.

~Day 3 begins and ends three weeks from now. Farside22 will take over moding as I will be busy all summer. I will be back once a week to check up and run Mod Scenes as necessary. Sorry for the inconvenience.~

Hello everyone. I am your replacement for PaltryExcuse.

I have completed 5 games off-site (with different rule sets including being able to talk outside of thread), and have just finished my second newbie game here. I have also played hours and hours of irc mafia, which is how I met Excedrin and started playing on this site.

I've currently read through the game once and am in the middle of iso's of alive people. I should soon be ready to share my thoughts.

vote: mr. chaos

after five pages thats what i'm thinking. tsq does a lot of "circular" discussion, not sure why he focuses on some players and not on others when alot of similar behaviors are being exhibited. no. i'm not fleshing this theory out. i don't do big cases and i'm not sure that this is where my vote will stay, but if i had to vote based on the rvs my vote would be tsq or richardghp.

Well if you're not fleshing out the case then pardon me for saying that it is a terribly weak one. And you don't have to voted based on the RVS or after five pages...in fact you shouldn't be. Read the 46 pages and THEN place your vote.

I (reluctantly) believe Anon now since who I believe he killed fits with his behavior yesterday and the killing MO matches Shanba's N1 kill. Also definitely gonna have to re-examine that mipe wagon now that we have two confirmed scum on, there were likely more.

This is useless. Your basing your vote on me solely on the actions of my predecessor, on page 5, or a 46 page game. Please go back, finish reading, then give us a scumlist.

@Richard: This doesn't entirely put him in the clear, but I'm willing to believe he's not mafia.

does my vote bother you?

tbh, i am not sure i will make it through everything in a timely fashion. i have several "catch up" strategies and i would be lying if i said this one was among the more popular. i think it drew the same reaction last time. however, i personally think the rvs is a great place to find scum.

i'm going to skim and see what i come up with. if the first five pages are indicative of the rest of the game, then it appears to me that there is a lot of fluff to sift through. i'd rather look at voting records, important moments, and so on. if there is any particular meaningful happenings please direct me to them via page numbers(i.e. claims, reactions, stellar cases, etc.)

i second the motion for vas' to explain.

Your vote doesn't bother me so much as the piss poor reasoning you used to defend it. I really don't find rvs useful for scumhunting at this point in the game, considering there's much more info out there that's more likely to lead to scum.

Okay, so, to make sure I have a firm grasp of what has transpired, I looked at the vote trends. The green is (dead) townies, the orange are claimed PRs (Anon is pretty well confirmed because he wasn't vigged right? Judging from korts' flip there should be an even night vig, and he didn't kill Anon last night...), and the brown are dead scum. I tried not to interfere with any mod colors.

It's important to note that the following lists are not a snapshot of any one given time, as I did not remove your name if you unvoted. I did set a reasonable time limit on counting votes though, ie, if all the votes pile up on Izzy at the start of Day one, and the wagon fizzles and someone else places a vote on her near the end of day one, that last vote isn't on there.

DAY 1

Izzy (RVS):
Korts
, TSQ,
ksun
,
Shanba
, inHimshallibe, dahill1,
FFFF
,
RichardGHP
, VasudeVa

dahill1:
Anon
,
ksun
, TSQ, mipe,
RichardGHP
, VasudeVa

VasudeVa:
Korts
, scot, dahill1, Quag

mipe: Paltry,
Shanba
,
Anon
, VasudeVa,
Korts
,
ksun
,
soras
, dahill1,
RichardGHP
, inHimshallibe,
FFFF

RichardGHP
: scot, mipe, inHimshallibe, Yos, Quag,
Korts
, Shanba

ksun
:
Shanba
, dahill1, Fonz, inHim, iama, Izzy, VasudeVa,
RichardGHP
,
Anon
,
zoraster

DAY 2

inHim: Fonz, dahill1, Paltry,
Furcolow

Anon
: iama,
Shanba
, Fonz, VasudeVa, Izzy, Chaos, inHimshallibe,
RichardGHP
,
zoraster

RichardGHP
:
Shanba
,
zoraster
, Chaos,
Anon
, dahill1

VasudeVa: Fonz, Izzy, scot,
zoraster
, inHim,
Shanba

zoraster
:
Anon
, inHimshallibe, Izzy, Chaos,
RichardGHP
, dahill1

The people that stick out to me for excessive wagoning are: dahill1, inHimshallibe, and VasudeVa.

First of all, VasudeVa is a wagoning MACHINE. Look at how many times he is there on the list. I understand that he's pulling the newbie card, and I really agree that from my read through he has sincerely acted like one, but, I'm leaning towards newbie scum. One other thing to note on him right now is that he was wagoning all over the place on Day 1, then look at how many wagons he joins on Day 2, only one single wagon. I know it's WIFOM but I suspect his scum buddies suggested that he tone it down.

With inHimshallibe, what I claim is the wagon on him contained three votes that were placed in succession on him near the beginning of Day 2. His "wagon" fizzles out faster than any of the other wagons, not to mention that his name is found very frequently on my list. I have also looked and he doesn't do a really great job of explaining his votes either.

dahill1 shows up there an awful lot as well. The one thing that makes me hesitate with dahill is that ksun voted dahill on day 1, in what doesn't really seem like a bus-like vote. One thing I don't like, however, is dahill's wishy-washy attitude towards the zoraster wagon. dahill1's vote on zoraster smells like a bus vote, it really does.

Of these three people I am most confident in my read of VasudeVa as the wagoning newbie scum who got told off by his scum buddies. I understand that our claimed tracker saw him do nothing last night, but that means even less in an Even/Odd game than in a normal game, so:

Cove votes VasudeVa

Another thing to note is that if there is another scum on the mipe wagon, I'm betting it's VasudeVa, as his vote really doesn't sell me:
VasudeVa wrote: I agree with Anon that mipe is the next best potential wagon so let's go there. springlullaby needs some attention too.

Well, for one, I don't think that neither wagonning nor indecisiveness are scumtells. There's no reason why a perfectly normal and logical townie would experience/participate in both of those.

But regardless my vote on zoraster was far from that. I think I established pretty clearly that I preferred other lynches over him (not that that helps me much..) and my last-minute vote was simply to ensure that we'd get in a lynch that day.

@Cove: dahill is most definitely not mafia with ksun. If Anon-vig confirms he took a shot, that will (95%) rule out an SK, meaning dahill will come out clean on the whole.

Also, my vote on RGHP was moved to ksun before any more voted RGHP, and I don't think I ever voted VaVa.
