Thanks for beating me to that.Gayle wrote:Just checking in before I get prodded. I'll be back later today.
@Azelf: This is an open game. You can see the setup in the OP. There are no roleblockers and we are as likely to have a doctor as we are a cop. In other words, none of what you just said makes any sense.

It is a pretty stupid move no matter what side you're on, but there's still no excuse for a real cop not to reveal the results of their investigation.Gheb wrote:I don't see the benefit for a townie to not reveal results either.
But then again I also fail to see why scum would do it.
Right, I forgot it was an open game, what with Little Italy and all. :TGayle wrote:Just checking in before I get prodded. I'll be back later today.

And the chances of us having both a doctor AND a cop are statistically lower than us having one of the two, so what I said still stands.
Would you mind telling us why you just voted someone you want replaced?kunkstar7 wrote:Thanks for beating me to that.

Hoping to see if he would react to the vote without being replaced. But I have a feeling he's flaked out. Since theres no point now that I stated that flat out, unvote.
Regarding Lowell's cop claim, he will reveal his results, he just wants to see how people react to his target. Connections and the sort. It doesn't work if everyone already knows who he investigated.Welcome to the Network.-

So it would seem to reason that with a claimed cop and a confirmed town, scum would want to kill either Lowell or Kunkstar7. However, neither of them died. It seems strange to me that scum would risk a no-kill.Lowell wrote:Aight screw it. KUNK is my investigation, he's innocent.
If Lowell is the cop, and Kunkstar7 really is confirmed, that would leave 7 possible choices for Lowell to investigate, 2 of which are scum. So there was about a 29% chance of scum being investigated last night, and it sounds like that didn't happen.
We could also have a doc, which makes more sense as far as the no-kill is concerned. If we do have a cop, I'm not sure this is the best time for them to announce themselves.
The possibilities seem to be pretty well weighted in either direction. What are other people thinking?-

I would go with mass claim in most set-ups now, especially ones with many power-roles, at this stage, but given that we have no information from cc's
@lobster: Its actually 28.6%-

Nothing else the town did would make him react. Why do you think a vote would make him any more likely to do so?kunkstar7 wrote:Hoping to see if he would react to the vote without being replaced. But I have a feeling he's flaked out. Since theres no point now that I stated that flat out, unvote.

Also, if that's the case, why would Lowell not be able to look at pre-existing connections and reactions? That would sound a lot like stalling.
Telling us who was innocent and guilty can save us precious time in the day trying to scumhunt that person. Scum would want to waste the town's time.Lowell wrote:I really don't understand the problem here. Imagine I said "I investigated player X".... then what? So just go about your business telling us your suspicions.
Although I suppose you have a point, since nobody would believe you anyways.
If there's a doctor out there, this would be a good time to tell us who you protected.Lowell wrote:I disagree with the idea of massclaim (not sure what that does). But yes, if there's another cop out there I don't see the harm in claiming. It's clear to me that there's a doc, and that s/he protected me last night. I find it unlikely scum would go for me instead of kunk.
By the way, I don't see the point in mass claiming right now. It could give away (and thus paint a giant target on the back of) town power roles on Day 3, which isn't worth finding out that everyone is a Vanilla Townie. This space is empty. Like the average Vanilla Townie's brain.-

Just for clarification I wasn't asking for a mass claim, but I was refering to lobster
and I was making the point that normally with so many "PRs" a massclaim d3/d4 is sometime good. But in this game it would be an error to do so.-

Mind explaining why you jumped on a wagon for someone who's being replaced?Gheb wrote:Vote Wdjat
Since you've already claimed cop and nobody counterclaimed you, it's almost certain that there is no cop in this game. The only thing that it would do is force the doctor to either claim or lie, making it a lot easier for the scum to eliminate a town power role. I find it hard to believe that you didn't figure that out by yourself, by the way.Lowell wrote:I do think it would be nice to find any other cops there might be at this point. Between us we can probably clear most of the field, and it gives time to check out the results, preventing a scum "cop" claim later on.This space is empty. Like the average Vanilla Townie's brain.-

@Town: Our scum is the extreme lurkers. Lynch them. Like Wdjat or hewitt. We have 2 mislynches left before LyLo. I think today would be a good day to weed out a lurker. I agree with Lowell on the cop claim. If we have a second cop please claim, and we'll have them cross investigate to confirm.Welcome to the Network.-

I don't think you quite understand how statistically unlikely it is that there are two cops in this game.JacobSavage wrote:COUNTER CLAIMS DONT MEAN ANYTHING IN C/9!
Because ignoring other people's points against you totally isn't scummy.Lowell wrote:I'm just going to ignore az for awhile.
So you're telling us something is unnecessary without telling us why? Although it seems to me like that method is a waste of a cop investigation AND a lynch, you really shouldn't post something if you don't have a reason for saying it.kunkstar7 wrote:Scratch the cross investigating. Okay, I've been doing a lot of thinking. And I'm pretty close to placing a vote on Lowell. I'm fairly sure he's scum. I would still like to hear back from all the players in the thread (or their replacements) before I place a vote on our "claimed cop."
MOD: Would you please send out prods/replacements?
