re: UncertainKitten - I have to disagree with the whole quote striping argument. I know from experience that it is something that truly irks UK and I can see her responses as legitimate and not a concerted effort to distract the town.

Pittbunny
- assuming everyone has two abilities is quite an assumption... As for your rolefishing comment: why should you rolefish? You want to out powerroles so the scum have an easy target at night? It sounds like you would be in favor of a mass role claim right now? Is that accurate?

I also find your unvote and the comment about a double voter intriguing. What would a double voter do? Put the person at L-1. Unless there is two scum double voters a double voter is hardly a threat at L-2 so this just sounds like a convenient excuse to get off the wagon.

Cobalt
- I'm missing the connection. What were you right about?

Cobalt: Or maybe UK is wondering about your motives in ignoring Sociopath's contribution to the chaff, as well as what magical game relevance YOU had provided. I don't see how what you've pointed out is a scumtell.

Pitt: How close were we to a hammer? Who would honestly be stupid enough to pile two more votes on me, watch me flip town, and be instalynched tomorrow? L-2 isn't as dangerous as you'd think.

And, as for data, some data helps the scum more than the town. Again, how does any of this information help town?

Incorrect on the mass claim, but you likely were in the middle of posting when I made the comment, so I don't mind. I agree on the premise that there exists base information about this game that is neutral to reveal; if a benefit would exist, both sides would benefit equally.

For example, the concept of your role name.
Was it in the style of:
______?
______,_____?
_____(____)?
etc.?

Something as simple as that, while it wouldn't tell much, would be something that I would agree to reveal. At least then the game is raised from uninformed majority-informed minority to moreorlessuninformed majority-informed minority. I don't mind baby steps when it comes to data accrual.

But what USE does that data have? The uninformed majority is pretty much ALWAYS going to get less out of that than the informed minority would. I can't tell if you genuinely think this is a good idea or if you are trying to pretend as such to see if you can get a little data to better guide your night kill...

Or Pitt is just trying to dig himself out of this scum hole he has put himself in by trying to make the plan more credible.

That falls under the latter assessment I think. And honestly, I lean towards that latter or I would have unvoted ^-^.

Jack wrote:She said cobalt was wrong once again, and that it wasn't surprising because [link to your post about cobalt], implying that cobalt is always wrong. That's pretty strong.
I read that as more of a joking, lighthearted way of saying that she wasn't concerned about the vote. Note that, as I said before, I do not think this is a good way to respond to a vote, but I don't think it's a suspicious way to do so either.
Jack wrote:You really like the "hurting/beneficial" line huh? Scum are trying to do "beneficial" things remember. What's relevant is my gut. i.e. you have to decide whether someone doing something beneficial is really trying to help the town, or just trying to look like it, and whether someone hurting the town is doing so for scummy reasons, or for one of the many reasons townies do it.
Yes, I think I do. And I understand that one has to make that distinction, it is not a rule that someone doing beneficial things is town and that someone hurting things is scum. However, it is worth looking at, analyzing, and coming to a decision either way and I have clearly chosen what my gut told me, like you say you have.
Jack wrote:It doesn't sound particularly concerned. It's more of a "oh you two and your arguing" post.

It seems like you've been working your way up to this vote, which is what scum often do because they don't really suspect the person.
My vote comes from you responses to this discussion and the actions that sparked it, not just the actions. I don't like the way you're defending it; my "gut" makes me think you are worth a vote right now.
UncertainKitten wrote:To be clear, the unvote is one of those things that just overall feels like "Look at me I'm so conscientious and protown", and also would theoretically make you look better were I lynched anyway.
Good to note that there were no posts from Pitt between his vote and unvote. Still being very diplomatic.
Pittbunny wrote:I'm going to have to agree with UK on the "What the hell are you smoking Cobalt" platform...Cobalt, content. I want some. I don't care if you provide nothing but flowery absurdities, just provide something that doesn't make you look more VI than I already do.
So you went from voting, to unvoting, to completely dismissing the person who started the wagon in less than a page? Amazing. It's also very cool how you can call out Cobalt of all people for CONTENT when you have actually advocated fluff and posted less relevant content in all your many posts than Cobalt has in his few.
Pittbunny wrote:As to rolefishing, why shouldn't I rolefish?
My head hurt after reading this. At this point I'm not sure if you're scum or just dumb.

Thanks for joining us Fate.

Can you give reasons for saving us three are town, or is it just a gut feeling?

And any reason for the two votes in your first post?

Also, why aren't more people voting UK or have basic scum tells changed over the past couple of years?

And God said, "Let there be light," and there was light. God saw that the light was good, and He separated the light from the darkness. God called the light "day," and the darkness he called "night." And there was evening, and there was morning—the first day.

Hum. Fate opens their play in a way that I'm quite confused. At least, moreso than usual.

As to Mal's update: I think he throws in any vote regardless of if they are a current player or not. For experimentation's sake:

UK: One vote was for Mal, the mod. Another was for your former name. I decided to throw a completely random one out.

Navy: I wasn't aware that I flipflopped on Cobalt. I thought that I was showing what was more or less apathy towards his opinions until he posted something which I couldn't interpret, and then called him on it. Is that satisfactory crunch?
