I don't get why we're wagoning soras.
Oddly enough, manho is scummiest, so I'm voting manho.

I agree with most of this post, except that I kind of see why soras is being wagoned. I just don't agree with it, he seems like town to me, 'specially since he's partly being wagoned for something I also did.

And that is not participating in the signup thread. Why didn't I? Well, a thing or two:

It's annoying to be expected to participate in a lot of pregame stuff that you'll be judged on later. When I signed up, Spyrex PMed with with my alignment, I sat at the computer for a minute thinking about draft numbers, then responded with a PM. I never changed them, or gave them much thought. Because they don't need it, in my opinion.

If we could get everyone to participate in pregame conversation like that, it would be useful. But it's not gonna happen, simply for reasons like my own: I signed up for a game, and I plan to play it. But I don't plan to play a game

before

it starts.

No reason to massclaim yet, and so far 2 of those pushing for it are scum, so evidently they can see a scum benefit (and scum is trying to arrange it no less).

Would be a bad idea to massclaim when scum are trying to push for it to begin with.

The only drawback I see is outing town power roles WAY early.

Regarding this, I personally don't have a problem with it, but I think it would be smart to think over the possible repercussions for town in both. I'd also like some feedback from those in past PYPR games.

What path did they follow?
Did it turn out better or worse for town/scum?
Who ended up winning?
If they had followed a different path via massclaim, would there have been a different result?

PYP 1: we tore the scum apart. set-up was different (2 scum groups) but still yeah.
PYP 2: we wiped da town out pretty badly through a combo of playing better and using clever draft techniques. a mass claim might have helped town, but the empowerer fucked the town over. haha i was the empowerer ;D go me. super cool guy.

I'm OK with a massclaim. We seem to have outted a number of vanillas for no reason so far anyway.

Guys, I don't really get the argument. We either do it or we don't. Even if we get a majority to vote "aye," it's not like we can force everyone to. I guess those that don't would have to be put under closer scrutiny, then, but whatever.

Sorry what question? You mean why did I choose 7 when I tend to think 5 or lower is the best option? That was because I was under the wrong impression of how the draft worked when I submitted my numbers. I realised later that the second number being chosen by someone else only matters if that person also chose the same first number.

Am I misreading the question?

Not so much throw-away snideness, I just think it's a dick thing to do, to be trying to get the people who disagree with you to do something against the rules. I don't think a town player would do it on purpose, I'm not convinced enough that it was on purpose to call scuminess on it.
