Question: Once we make the first of the day's lynches, will that person be killed immediately, or will they have to wait until the end of the day before we officially hang them?

random vote: ?Colinus?
, in keeping with the tradition that I vote for names I don't understand.

A little google goes a long way. OMGUS vote: BrianMcQueso
I never voted for you, Quailman. This whole double lives mechanic was implemented for a reason, and if you're just going to give away your second life like that, the scum will kill you to eliminate your power. Look at Esme.

Mass claiming is dangerous for the following simple reason: If a power role (let's say... doctor) comes up dead, and the scum knows who the matching account is, then we've lost both our doctor accounts.

What this further means is that if the scum fires at different people, their chances of finding one doctor is doubled. If they can easily find the second once they find the first, then it's bad times.

I forgot that roles aren't revealed until both halves die. Nevertheless, I think it would benefit the scum to completely eliminate a player from the game, though I'm less sure why.

This is straight-up metagaming, but I know (well not
know
, but I'd bet serious money) there are no townies in this game. StrykkerVerde abhors putting basic townsfolk in his games. I'm not sure whether it would benefit the scum more to knock out two identical roles, or two different roles, and that's just pure speculation on my part.

I guess what I've been trying to get at is that this double-life system was implemented for a reason, and whatever that reason may be, if we're not taking advantage of this opportunity somehow, then we're just playing a regular Mini.

I know my ideas have been a bit confusing, and maybe even voteworthy, but I don't think it's worth lynching me over. Your last post makes it seem like you're eager to start a real early bandwagon over something so little. There's been one vote on me for a real reason and one randomly. If you think I'm worth lynching, maybe you should vote me instead of trying to stir up support.

I missed the part where ?YouYou? was voting for their other suspicious target. Nevertheless, I'd prefer a bit of explanation as to why I'm being marked as a candidate for quick lynch, or why that's even being suggested.

I thought we expected the secondary accounts to be less active because they're a pain in the ass to check. I can't post under mine right after I post on this one because it'll be friggin obvious.

When it comes to claiming, I think we should still be leaving our other-name out of the picture. I don't see how that information benefits the town at all, only the scum. Role-claiming is fine under the usual circumstances, but I still think it's a big mistake linking our names and our ?names?.
BrianMcQueso (that's me) wrote:I know (well not know, but I'd bet serious money) there are no townies in this game. StrykkerVerde abhors putting basic townsfolk in his games.
I think I need to discuss this more. First and foremost, it is speculation. It's metagaming speculation, though. I know Strykker that well. He's not likely to put vanilla roles in the town. Yes, I am not a vanilla townie. But I am
not
pushing for claims of any kind. If you are vanilla, you can keep it to yourself, for all I care. I'm not looking for anyone to prove me wrong, because it's not that important to me. If anyone was pushing for mass claim, it would be ?YouYou?.

I still believe lynching ?YouYou? is the correct play here. he's publicly revealed his role, which can only hurt him... unless he's scum. Scum has no reason to fear revealing their other role. The claim is sketchy as well... well, it's not a real claim at all. I'm not sure why he's any
less
suspicious at this point. If we keep him around, there's the chance scum will leave him alone, making us even more suspicious of him tomorrow.

My vote stands.

GreenLiquid, we were voting for you because you were lurking. Then you return, but you don't post anything useful. Then you go and give up all hope, even when all we were asking for is some content. Is it really worth dying just so you don't have to do some thinking, sit down for 5 minutes, and post something worth reading?

How are going to know which Liquid used to be green? We need Science™!

Dranko's attitude bugs me, but he's like this everywhere. It doesn't necessarily make him scum, but it might be worth lynching him just because.
Dranko wrote: Guys, I'm sorry. I'm totally just not into this game like MoS so I was being a jerk, but I'm actually going to try and START playing.

Unless you guys just want to lynch me, thats cool too. I just don't want to feel like a jerk for ruining my brother's game, I'd actually rather be replaced, but at this point....

Yeah. Sorry guys. (Probably doesn't mean much.)
If you're going to start playing... why didn't you? You haven't told us who you find suspicious, any thoughts on the double-lives mechanic, or your thoughts in any relevant way. It's too late for you to be replaced (deadline is two days away...), so give us your thoughts.

vote: Dranko
until you do.

Rolecopiers choose a person at night to copy and another person for their copied person's ability to be used on blindly. If I targeted player A and copied his role on Player B, and got back a PM saying "Player B is guilty", then I know that B is Mafia and A is a Cop. Pretty useful when used right.

I'm not sure how disrupting it is, as we pretty much all believed CA was ?YouYou? (at least, I did), but it's tricky. Also, I can confirm that Strykker's going to be gone until Sunday. Dranko, too.

This is impossible.

Unvote, Vote: SapphireVerde
Just for the record, it is possible. If Sapphire is a doctor like she claims, then her other half is a doctor as well. She'd have two protections at her disposal.

Of course, her claiming that she only had one protection last night might infer something. I'm afraid we've lost "both" of our doctors if she's telling the truth.
