Quag, who would YOU have us lynch? I'd think you'd say Korts, but I don't remember you voting for him. If you have, sorry. I don't really have time to look back through the thread right now (homework...).

Why wouldn't he? A two scum could easily quickhammer him before the claim. L-2 is an appropriate claim time in a game this size.

The case on mipe is very clean cut, one of the better D1 cases I've ever seen. Early inconsistencies and the defense he's putting up is terrible. Clearly win-win no matter what alignment we get from him. Best lynch for D1 IMO. Quite surprised no hammering is going on really.

At first Quag's case on Korts was cute. Now it's quite annoying since he admittedly states that he has no proof but continues on with it. Getting some bad vibes from it actually. This could very well be a bad bus attempt, if they are both scum. Kind of like that kid in the playground: "HEY GUYS, IM BUSSING KORTS. LOOKATME! STOP LYNCHING MIPE, LOOKAT ME FIRST.........GUYS? :("

Got nothing to back that up though. It just feels like it. Could be my inconsistent gut.

Just a reminder to the town: Deadline is
March 29th.

I think a mipe claim makes sense for timing issues.

@VasudeVa: There is no 'proof' in mafia games beyond night actions (and those can be lied about as well). For example, the case on mipe isn't foolproof, it's based on anti-town bandwagon-y behaviour and then the sudden change in attitude once he's being pressure. I think he's scum, but 'proof' will never be there.

Oh right. Bad wording on that one. But my point is this: his case against Korts is as empty as the ones he accuses Korts of. Which is why it's giving me scum bus vibes.

How is it empty? Korts and I have largely been arguing semantics over the past page or two. My case has proven that Korts has pushed transparent bandwagons and hollow cases three separate times this game, and the rest of his posting has been silly theory banter. Both are classic scum tells.

In fact, before Korts and I began arguing semantics, he responded to my argument... I responded back to him, and he never even touched the post.

sorasgoof: I've been voting Korts the entire time. My vote will not switch to mipe under any circumstances, barring some inane screwup on his part.

Quag: Your case solely relies on Korts meta. You are saying that he has been a lettuce poster and his posts lack substance which is not how he usually plays. I do not know Korts style but so far he has been doing some normal things, nothing scummy yet no town tells either.

But making that case against him requires some proof on meta, which he has graciously provided us. You denied his challenge to study meta saying that it's personality based.

Hence, your case against him has no substance. Your case reads like a gut read trying to not look like a gut read.

This does not rely on meta.

Neither does pushing three faulty, lazy cases.

Think of it this way Vasuveda: The recent pontification of "well you don't want to read his meta" is attacking the proverbial 'icing on the cake' of my argument, and not the substance of my argument itself.

Whether or not I'm right or wrong about Korts' meta is up for debate... I'm just thinking that if I'm wrong, my case still holds water. If I'm right, my case is bulletproof.

Which is better than any case on mipe.

That makes sense actually. Although Korts' posts don't really register to me as lettuce posting. It looks more like typical D1 posting. Wagoning where ever and following arguments and stuff. Might read him in ISO.

Although, I really doubt that anything will come off this. Korts will have to wait till D2. Deadline is close enough for us to hammer. Any switch in wagons now will take too long for town to switch. Especially with this inactivity we have.

Never really thought large games would be this inactive. But w/e.

We're inactive because we're missing a number of players. I'm sure the mod will get on it *hint hint*.

(I'm serious here. If you're not on top of th lurker situation in large games as a mod, it quickly gets out of hand.)

I desperately want more input from shea, who (although he has a v/la excuse) was active at the dull end of the game and inactive now we're at the business end.

If we can't muster more activity, mipe will probably be lynched by default. I'm not entirely comfortable with that. I'd like to know that everyone who is on the lynch is accountable for the lynch. What's more, I think we can probably do a wee bit better than a mipe lynch. He might be scum, I'm wavering on it a bit, but some of the wagonny votes on to him have been terribad. Like ksun's.

~I am sorry and take the blame for inactivity. I am still searching for replacements, need four at the moment.~

Quag, I responded to your case once, you didn't bring any new points up, I didn't feel the need to respond any further.

The cases that I'm pushing aren't faulty, either. The Vas case was entirely justified in the interpretation of Vas's actions, and it was as strong a case as any at the time. The FeFiFoFum case is as strong as it can get without FeFiFoFum posting any more, and I still hold that his initial statement about the Izzy claim seemed to fit the profile of overeager newbscum. The FeFiFoFum angle should've been explored--sadly, he won't be able to answer now. As for the mipe case, he's being deliberately unhelpful, period. If he's town, he should have replaced out long before.

Richard(GHP): I can't find an answer from you to the implicit question in my initial accusation. Why did you feel it necessary to defend Izzy (or at least state your unwillingness to lynch her) when you did?

I'm less enthused by my scot vote now that he's been speaking out against the mipe wagon. I'm more inclined to believe that he actually thinks Vas is scummy now.
VasudeVa wrote: Although, I really doubt that anything will come off this. Korts will have to wait till D2. Deadline is close enough for us to hammer. Any switch in wagons now will take too long for town to switch. Especially with this inactivity we have.
No, time isn't the issue at all. Four days is plenty of time to get another lynch organised. The issue is that there are not enough people buying into the Korts case. I actually think that Quag has a really good point with the whole 'voting based on one post instead of considering the whole body of work' as a scumtell; I haven't thought about it before, but I'm pretty sure that would be an excellent observation on the difference between
my
scum play and town play, and I wouldn't say my playstyle is wildly different to Korts.

I'm also bothered by this vote, because Korts was already voting Vas at the time, and I always think that scum are more likely to forget where their vote is, because they have less reason to care about which particular townie gets mislynched.

So yeah, I could definitely go in for a Korts wagon if anyone else would.

Now watch me vote for someone based on a single post instead of considering their whole body of work. Specifically, this post.

First of all, he starts off with some ridiculously contrived and overexplained "THIS IS NOT BANDWAGONING. PAY NO ATTENTION TO THE MAN BEHIND THE CURTAIN." comments. Then he proceeds to quote every single post mipe has made up to that point and make inane comments about how each and every one is scummy. It's like he's looked at Quag's case and taken it to the opposite extreme; he wants to make absolutely sure that he can't be accused of not considering mipe's posting history as a whole so he makes sure to say something bad about absolutely all of it, even if it doesn't actually make any sense.

Basically, the whole tone of this post gives me the impression that sorasgoof is trying to pre-emptively defend himself against any and all suspicion he might incur from hopping onto the mipe wagon, which in turn suggests that he knows that the mipe wagon is a bad one.

Oh, also he made these two posts consecutively:
I'm thinking mipe needs to defend himself. He also needs to contribute, or at least appear to be contributing. What good is he doing us? >_>
Posting just to say I'm here. I've made my case, and nothing else has happened, so there's not much for me to say.

So is it safe to say we can lynch Kortshit? or would you like me to answer his very simple but dumb question if i would still lynch izzy without a claim? Obviously it was a joke, and a Random vote. Korts i have seen nothing but a good case against you all game, yoiu have failed to keep a constant pressure on richard or me, you are sleezy and scum.
