I actually really like the feel of thei vote, It gives me a slight, (and slightly odd) town feeling on TCC, despite this post, which just looks a bit newbish to me:

I've finished one game and it was a newbie game with Ray. Thus far, it's too similar a play style from when I played with him in that game to call it breaking meta. Just my feelings on him.

I would love to see a link to this game. Also I'm moving my vote to you, at least until I've given Sotty/someone else as in depth a read as you.

Seems to me like he is just annoying but *shrug* - at least annoying people tend to provoke reactions.

While Ythan himself might not post much content - being annoying and such has a very useful side effect of getting reactions. Being annoyed is okay, and there are possible arguments that in the long run it's anti town.

The fact you explained what an FoS is implies you had a feeling that I might not know/understand it. In fact, from what I had picked up from (mainly newbie) games it felt to me that an FoS was just a weak vote.

Anyway, the fact you felt it necessary to explain shows that something you thought could be a misunderstanding was worthy of attacking someone over.

I read this as potentially building an attack on smoke and mirrors. Also no content in a week.

Due to major violation of rule #2 of General Gameplay and Etiquette by Ythan in Open 212 and minor violation of the same rule by RayFrost in the same game, I decided to:

a) Give a warning to RayFrost. Good thing you decided to cut the discussion ASAP, but next time just go with 'don't discuss ongoing game' mantra, k?

b) Replace Ythan by force. You should know already that I won't tolerate that kind of behavior, especially after reading my previous statement on that matter. I intentionally planned to modkill you, but after discussion if Open 212 moderator, I decided to just replace you as no role information were leaked.


I'm locking this thread temporarily until I'll find emergency replacement for Ythan (If I'll manage to find 2 other replacements for Scrambles and Sajin - even better). After that, new deadline will be posted. It will be 9 days (2 days left + week extension for replacements to catch up) from the moment the game start once again.

Stay tuned for updates. I'll also notify all of you via PM, when the game will start again.

I tend to be anal about questions so I'll respond to this in case anyone else gives a hoot - check my Wiki for my games, I do have one as scum but if you manage to get reads about my scum play style off of that one you are an amazing person whom should be doing something better with your amazing gift then playing a game on this site.

I think this obsession with players age is getting us nowhere Scrambles is thirteen, and he was a BAMF in the last game we played together. So i don't think age has anything to do with ability. (Well unless your like 7). And I have heard the Ray is also a freaking awesome player, and he is only 15. So lets stop the "curious obsession with [age]." and get to some real scum hunting!

I read this as an attempt at some pro-town noise with no genuine motivation to scumhunt whatsoever. Add to this the complete lack of substantial votes, nothing in the way of proper cases and the repeated rather creepy smilies and you've got one scummy player.

Ray really bothers me. I've deliberately avoided my own meta as town once but not in a way that was so wilfully anti-town. The only time I've really felt like he was genuinely interested in this game was in his reaction to Pomegranate's confirm vote. That actually gives me a town read, which brings me on to Pome.

My problem with her is that she claims that meta is only a 'supporting pillar' of her Ray case. If you actually look back at how many times she references previous games she's played with Ray, I think it's obvious it's a lot more than a pillar. She speaks about him hammering her twice, she refers to him playing exactly the same way as scum in the last newbie game and she even comes up with this contradictory nugget, bolded for emphasis:

I'd say that my top suspect is RayFrost, who wins in a landslide victory. Recently he started harking on Ythan for Fluffy posting. I mean, seriously, him being the one talking? The hypocrisy is killing me. And that's all he doing- like linking to useless posts of Ythan. Like, the case feels really half-hearted.

The type of way ScumRF makes cases.

ScumRF is a total meta reference. Her whole read relies on what she knows of RF as scum. Now, I don't have a problem with that in itself. It's perfectly understandable for her to suspect RF because his play matches scum meta that she's seen first-hand on more than one occasion. What I don't like is that she tries to defend herself from Ray's counter by claiming that meta isn't the core of her case when she has repeatedly referenced previous games in her attacks on him. I feel like she's almost surprised that Ray has now responded with proper content and is thinking that the easy lynch of anti-town Ray might not be so easy after all. I think town-Pome with a genuine meta-based scum read of Ray would be more confident in their opinion.

The quick version for the lazy: TCC and Pomegranate are my top two suspects after my first read. Any questions, go ahead and I'll get to them as I go.
