I, Howard Roark, have just been expelled from the Stanton Institute of Technology because my modern architectural designs run contrary to everything that the school teaches. I do not know what the future holds, but I know that there are changes brewing.
Game setup (if applicable) and role assignment (always) are randomized.
Do not try to hide information within your posts by using same-colored background and foreground ("invisible") text or similar means.
I reserve purple text for myself.
Unless your role PM allows it, do not talk outside the thread; if it does, you may only do so when permitted.
You may never quote anything you received in a PM from me.
You may never quote anything posted in a quicktopic.
Night action choices are due to me via PM or quicktopic by the posted deadline. If I do not receive your choice by the posted deadline you will forfeit your action(s). (EXCEPTION: Compulsive actions will be randomized.)
If you think the rules have holes, please let me know.
If you are unsure whether what you're trying to do is allowed or not, please PM me.
Do not edit any posts.
I will not edit your posts.
Once enough players have confirmed in thread (
by naming his/her favorite fruit
-- to ensure that you've read these rules), I will begin the game.
Voting
A proper vote must be bolded, include the word "vote", and a
clearly discernible
version of the username of the votee. (GOOD:
vote HowardRoark
/ BAD:
vote architect
)
If you want to remove your vote, use a bolded "unvote". (EXAMPLE:
unvote
)
Unvotes are
mandatory
when changing votes.
You may
vote no lynch
, if you so desire.
A majority vote count of
(0.5 x PLAYERS_ALIVE) + 1
with the fraction truncated
is needed to lynch. (EXAMPLE: (0.5 x 9) + 1 = 4.5 +1 = 5.5 = 5)
A non-majority vote count results in a "no lynch" occurring.
With vote counts posted regularly, everyone should know when the majority has been reached.
Once a majority vote occurs, the game is in twilight until I post the death scene and night begins.
The lynchee may not post during twilight.
All living players may continue to post during twilight.
If you're dead, you may not post at all. That includes any type of "BAH" post.
Deadlines
All game days will be deadlined to
2.5 x PLAYERS_ALIVE
. (EXAMPLE: 2.5 x 12 = 30)
A deadline counter will be posted at the beginning of each day and in all vote count posts. (EXAMPLE: countdown timer)
If a game day ends before the deadline is reached, half of the remaining days will be added to the following game day.
Majority and non-majority vote count lynching rules still apply.
Night phase will last 72 hours (3 days).
Participation
You must post at least once every three days.
I will prod you if you don't comply.
I will announce prods in the thread.
You will have to respond to the prod by posting in the thread.
If you do not respond to the prod within 36 hours, I will replace you.
I will not prod you a third time; you will be replaced and you may no longer post in the thread.
I will not prod players upon request.
Any information intended for me (V/LA notice, vote count requests, et cetra) must be posted in bold.
The "Post Reply" page has a "Preview" button, please use it.
It would be greatly appreciated that all players participate in an after game discussion.
Information
I will post a vote count as often as I deem necessary. This will include the number of votes needed to lynch and the deadline counter.
The first post will contain game phase, player status, and links to posts marking the end of each phase.

Help your fellow players by replacing into a game.
The Clown is Town. The Clown also uses "they" pronouns. Don't be a dick about it?
I know it's weird given the username, but "horrorperson" just doesn't have the same ring to it.
There's a difference there. See, the comment was already made about "not reading the rules" and that is just silly enough that it COULD have been at least a quasi-serious rationale for the vote.
So, like I said: lets assume it was - would "not reading the rules" be a scumtell?
That was a whole lot of words missing the point of what I was asking.
