Asshattery. He has yet to post content and when he chimed in we were well beyond the brush-off-criticism-with-a-joke stage.
his join date is within the past 30 days, isn't it reasonable to think he has no idea what the hell he should say?
When I first started playing mafia, my posts where highly similar to his, in that they had no content in them and consisted of dumb things.
Lynch out to straighten him out.
Or we can try actually looking for scum?
Why do you assume newbs aren't scum?
Musher333 wrote:Scum instantly have more information than vanilla townies as they know who is scum (and in a game with basic roles) who is town. This information can expose them if they comment on someone with something that makes it sound like they know the side that person is part of.
Meh. Scum can generate in-depth content just fine in my experience.
2 of the 3-4 full games i've played were in road to rome so that might be why, but in my experience scum either tend to be really chatty and co-operative or in the habit of lurking.

How am I attacking him? I just said that I find it shady that he has a vote based on "vibes"
The Clown is Town. The Clown also uses "they" pronouns. Don't be a dick about it?
I know it's weird given the username, but "horrorperson" just doesn't have the same ring to it.

Horror, he means attack in terms of argument, not malice. I think.

Attack in this game tends to mean an attempt to break down an argument.

A better question would be, why do you assume they are?
His actions are far more newbish than scummy, and Ythan seemed to indicate that lynching him would be good because he's being a stupid noob. However, I think that it's better to lynch someone because they are being scummy, not because they are being newbish.

Wow. Posty posters post much.

My thoughts thus far:

We need to hear more from Lowell, Dr. Cyanide, WRP_Beater, Rikenslope (promised), pman5595, ace5993 (promised).

Cirno needs to post more substance.

@DedicatedScribe: Why did you feel the need to tell us you probably would not move your vote? Also, why do you feel you may not move it? (Please note, these
are
two separate and disctinct questions. Please answer both. Thanks!) Oh, and third question: Why the rush to lynch?

@StKerrigan: What are your thoughts on lynching lurkers?

@WRP_Beater: You might be new, but you came in at exactly the wrong moment. Can you give us some thoughts on the game? Or mafia in general? Or, really, anything?

I'm waiting for a votecount before I place my vote. It is around the witching hour, per our Esteemed Mod.

My posts are best read in the calm, reassuring voice of Morgan Freeman. I don't sound anything like him, but they sound best that way.

Depends on the type of lurking. Plain ol' lurking, do nothing about. Active lurking, on the other hand, is something I would consider lynching over.

Why ask me specifically?

Yes, I'm new
here
. You know, I've played in 6 mafias, 5 playing right now, 2 in MS. But I've never survived till the end . I know tactics, but if I'm scum I'm never able to resist pressuring. Believe me, if I was scum I'd do something wrong under pressure, but don't misunderstand: I'm not forcing you to pressure me . So, I won't claim right now, even if I see I look suspicious.

It didn't reek of scum; it reeked of WTF-bang. Your wording strikes me as opportunistic. I'd FOS you, but I don't want to scare you into changing your vote. I still like your vote where it is.

Not my fault if there are 3 new pages a day here. Where I use to play there are max 15-20 posts a day in a mafia.
