Is this your idea of an ice-breaking joke?Nicodemus wrote:Hypothetical situation: I am an Adel-alt. Please give me your initial reaction to this news
Hmm. I don't think I've ever done this before, but questions for everyone:
1. Do you prefer town or scum?
2. Is lurking a scum tell?
3. Do you prefer town hunting or scum hunting?
4. How active do you normally consider yourself, in-game?
5. Policy lynches—good or bad?
6. Lynch All Liars—good or bad?
7. Is it scummy to vote without immediately giving the reason?
8. Is it bad to out your town reads?
Not answering my own survey would be totally rude.
1. Town.
2. Not reliably, but I think scum do it marginally more often than town.
3. Mix.
4. Fairly active. Sometimes too active.
5. Bad, unless they're a last resort.
6. Bad, but mostly a case-by-case issue.
7. No.
8. No. I encourage it.-

I'm ambivalent. I get a weird feeling about how he questioned Pulindar's joke post. That looked like a real stretch, groping for something to comment on; I thought it was obvious that the post was a joke. But that's pretty thin stuff to go on.
What's your beef with Nico?
Pully
Did you just claim scum?I'm trying to learn from Battle Mage. I like his style and even though he was scum, he played such a pro-town game that I'd like to use his scum play a bit in general. I stated that at the time in my second open science game.-

Withholding your meta is one of the scummiest and most anti-town moves you could possibly pull, and there's nothing in it for you.
Ahem.
Your problem is that you aren't the first case of the inter-forum sneaks I've had to deal with. I've gotten the job done twice. If you're scum, I will confidently put my money on me finding you, catching the difference between your play styles here and on your previous roflcoptering grounds, and getting you lynched.-

I admit to having missed it the first time around—and it's disconcertingly stupid. The whole point of policy lynches is that they're based on known principle. They shouldn't be ambushes.Alduskkel wrote:How do you feel about this response to your 5th question, crypto?
@Sanhora, please refute my statement.

@All, what do you think of Sniper's refusal to out his meta?-

Okay, that's fine. I tend to get town reads on people whodon't bust my chopsagree with me, too.
One player in a somewhat recent game of mine refused to out his meta. I thought it was pretty null, but then he flipped scum. Now I'm thinking it's more telling. There's little reason for a townie to withhold his meta.Pully wrote:It's sort of just extraneous.

1. I am not tunneling. That accusation is somewhere between irksomely idiotic and scummy.Max wrote:I could manipulate my meta (e.g. Pooky Town Guarantee), I could link to games where I played poorly as town. I could link to games where I played exceptionally as scum. It doesn't work to the extent crypto is claiming and the tunneling on sniper is not helping town.
2. You didn't read my links. I'm not talking about gauging play through meta. I'm talking about catching scum in a web of their own lies between games on different forums.-

Haylen, that's poor form.
I saw your reasoning. My question was more of a rhetorical jab at your strategy, or rather what you claim to be your strategy. Stick your neck out and put your vote where it will affect the game. If you're just going to unvote him at L-2, then don't bother voting him at all. You're setting yourself up for a waste of time and potentially a Get Out of Scum Hunting Free Card.SFG wrote:crypto, note that I spoke my reasoning in the post I voted in. I will also remove my vote if Sniper gets to L-2.
SPS I find individually scummy for his Nico case, and his post 241 smells funny. That post is also the basis for that scum pair, but it's counteracted by post 253, which features SPS-scum sucking up to SFG-town.Slaxx wrote:@Crypto: If one of them pops town, then that means you have other suspicions than just connections. Care to share them?
I still have to sort out my conflicting SFG reads.-

I'm saying you may be setting yourself to get out of scum hunting.
