Vote: Sanhora
for being the only person I've played with before.
Unvote. Vote: Nikanor.
Why did you not random-vote?

Remind me to nominate SaintKerrigan for best flavor when the game's over.

Nicodemus wrote:Hypothetical situation: I am an Adel-alt. Please give me your initial reaction to this news
Is this your idea of an ice-breaking joke?

Hmm. I don't think I've ever done this before, but questions for everyone:

1. Do you prefer town or scum?
2. Is lurking a scum tell?
3. Do you prefer town hunting or scum hunting?
4. How active do you normally consider yourself, in-game?
5. Policy lynches—good or bad?
6. Lynch All Liars—good or bad?
7. Is it scummy to vote without immediately giving the reason?
8. Is it bad to out your town reads?

Not answering my own survey would be totally rude.

1. Town.
2. Not reliably, but I think scum do it marginally more often than town.
3. Mix.
4. Fairly active. Sometimes too active. :?
5. Bad, unless they're a last resort.
6. Bad, but mostly a case-by-case issue.
7. No.
8. No. I encourage it.

Why is #7 scummy?

I'm ambivalent. I get a weird feeling about how he questioned Pulindar's joke post. That looked like a real stretch, groping for something to comment on; I thought it was obvious that the post was a joke. But that's pretty thin stuff to go on.

What's your beef with Nico?

Pully
I'm trying to learn from Battle Mage. I like his style and even though he was scum, he played such a pro-town game that I'd like to use his scum play a bit in general. I stated that at the time in my second open science game.

SFGHmm. SFG, that player-by-player analysis seems to splash either accusatory or critical mud on almost every player. Is that what you intended?

The other stuff in that post wasn't serious. It was within the context of that post, not all my posts. Why do you ask?

I hope this isn't Pully-scum trying to get Nico off his back with kissing of the ass. You're too fun to be scum.
I can attest that that's just how Slaxx plays. I don't know what his alignment is in our game (still ongoing) but that is how he plays.

Withholding your meta is one of the scummiest and most anti-town moves you could possibly pull, and there's nothing in it for you.

Ahem.

Your problem is that you aren't the first case of the inter-forum sneaks I've had to deal with. I've gotten the job done twice. If you're scum, I will confidently put my money on me finding you, catching the difference between your play styles here and on your previous roflcoptering grounds, and getting you lynched.

1. I am not tunneling. That accusation is somewhere between irksomely idiotic and scummy.
2. You didn't read my links. I'm not talking about gauging play through meta. I'm talking about catching scum in a web of their own lies between games on different forums.

Haylen, that's poor form.
SFG wrote:crypto, note that I spoke my reasoning in the post I voted in. I will also remove my vote if Sniper gets to L-2.
I saw your reasoning. My question was more of a rhetorical jab at your strategy, or rather what you claim to be your strategy. Stick your neck out and put your vote where it will affect the game. If you're just going to unvote him at L-2, then don't bother voting him at all. You're setting yourself up for a waste of time and potentially a Get Out of Scum Hunting Free Card.
Slaxx wrote:@Crypto: If one of them pops town, then that means you have other suspicions than just connections. Care to share them?
SPS I find individually scummy for his Nico case, and his post 241 smells funny. That post is also the basis for that scum pair, but it's counteracted by post 253, which features SPS-scum sucking up to SFG-town.

I still have to sort out my conflicting SFG reads.

SFG wrote:@crypto, why are you accusing me of trying to get out of scumhunting when at least volume/effort wise I've done more scumhunting than more than half the town? That makes no sense.
I'm saying you may be setting yourself to get out of scum hunting. I don't think you are currently active-lurking.

Furry wrote:(17) - What is the point of this survey?
For reference.
All I see is noise potential (also correct answers to 5-8 are yes, yes [in nearly all instances], no, no. There is no debating this. If everyone followed those, town would win far more games)
I strongly disagree with your stance on Lynch All Lurkers. Ta-da, debate! (Hopefully we can agree not to have said theory debate in-game.)
(43) - Someone understands baseless wagoning. That said it makes him probably town.
Town are more likely than scum to wagon in RVS? Oh,
really
?
(53) - No seriously. This is a bad vote. I can come up with at least some justification to vote three or four people here, SPS is not one of those.
I came up with some justification. Also, you're wrong.
(61) - Scum or inability to understand usefullness of bandwagons? Interested to see how this develops as the game continues.
Neither. My turn: Scum or inability to grasp the concepts that (1) utter lack of content is anti-town and often scummy and (2) not all wagon votes are equal?
Too many newbies now adays completely fail to understand this.
Is this referring to me?
(115) - Waiting for reasoning here, always love it when a scum read wants a town read dead.
Reasoning's been given.
(118) - What is the point of this question?
1. Why do you want to know? (See, I'm doing the same thing here.)
2. Why do you find it scummy? (Or don't you?)
3. What does whether or not I have a reason have to do with my alignment?
4. The point of the question? Odds are it has something to do with the last line of post immediately above . . .
(124/128) - I still want an answer to why you asked (118). This isnt one.
In my defense, sir, I didn't say 118 was an answer.
(crypto 180/181) - This policy?
Huh?
Also explain your read here. You seem to just wave your hand and expect us to get it. What other site meta are you looking for though.
I don't have a town read on Sniper. I'm very cautiously leaning scum. I was trying to ease up and hint at a null/town read, because I figured that he'd be more likely to guilelessly answer my question if he felt comfortable. (It's worked before.) But he refused, so what the fuck.
(crypto 208) - Having a similar thought process is usually somewhat indiciative of similar alignment. Go back and look at your past games, people you agree with usually share an alignment.
Yes, "somewhat." A very, very perilous "somewhat." I don't need to go back and look at my past games, thanks very much: Off the top of my head, I can recall plenty of instances where scum have agreed with me.
SPS is town
Hmm, how to answer this?

Waiting for reasoning here, always love it when a scum read wants a
town
scum read
dead
alive.

Sniper, are you KingTwelveSixteen? If not, are you from Kongregate or Trench Wars?

Now's the time to answer, before one of us hammers your ass. :)

Wow.

Sorry for flaking out guys. Never thought I'd see the day. I'd've technically flaked out of another game too if I hadn't been night-killed first. Never thought I'd see the day.

SPS . . . :x Well played. Actually I can't think of any person on this game who didn't play well.
