Okay. This was an interesting day 1... to say the least.

My thoughts :

- The1ffy : As confirmed scum as someone could be. Today lynch.

- The Command point drain is the worst idea i have ever heard. Seriously? You really think the mod didn't think about it? That we could just get free cop investigations like that? Didn't it occur to your mind that there might be roles altering how CP are distributed and that the scum might have some that would drain / change the number of CP town has? (and i have role-related reasons to believe they might have - please don't rolefish, i don't want to say more on this for now)

If the town really wants me to burn, i'll do so, but I have a very bad feeling about this, and on those behind this "plan".

- Are Daykilling SK usual on this site? Almaster kill made me think exactly of one, but it might be becomes i come from a different meta where mods love this kind of thing. I doubt he is mafia though, as two kills/day for one side is clearly overpowered for a mini.

Velcome to ze game. I am willing to give up the whole burn CP thing and just play the game like we normally do, except more conservatively.

Why? because I am confused about burning? because i think it is kinda stupid to break the way the game was made? I signed up for a themed game, wanting the rules to be a strain on the game play, so far, the only game play is setting up for tomorrow to see if, through the rules, we have scum. I just think the burning CP thing is lame.

Els, I am sympathetic to your perspective, but even if you are correct, it is not as if we are wasting CP that could be used in a separate fashion (to my knowledge). The extra CP would be wasted.

I think this is worth one try at the very least.

I'm going to go ahead and put my vote on fifi.
Vote: fifi
. The other vote is to be provided by fhq if I am not mistaken.

Could you explain me why we have any reason of believing the plan will yield confirmed town | scum? I still fail to see it.

Now, i don't really have a problem with burning, because i feel that scum will want to use the plan to create "confirmed town" scum instead of "confirmed scum" town (and it's a lot more likely that scum have CP-drain ability than scum have CP-generating-for-town ability). Yet, the way that some are pushing this plan as a break-open-the-setup is quite suspicious.

Cool down. We have four days. I'm in this game for three hours, there's no point rushing anything.

No, he meant me. fifi tried to self-hammer to stop the burn earlier, but he forgot to unvote. You can possibly take this as another piece of evidence that the burn is a legitimate tool

popsofctown wrote:Multiple CP for a power role would be bastard modding. "each action requires a CP to use".

But I re-read the first post. It was stated that:
Every player action in this game that isn't talking or unvoting (e.g. power role actions, votes, kills, or lynches) requires command points.
It wasn't stated clearly that every action requires only 1 CP but it stated that every action requires the use of CP. So it's likely to happen that some actions will use more than one Command Point.

Anyway, the burning plan is worthy to try and it's already late to back-out with the plan.

Cruciare's slot, vote/unvote 8 times, then vote fifi. If you don't burn, we will lynch you

Have you somehow been elected town leader? Where did I miss the fact that what you say reflect the town will?

I'll burn tomorrow evening if the town (and not you, who i believe to be scum pushing for a buggy plan) wishes me to do so.
I'm town. Please lynch someone else.

Are you afraid that some people might change their mind and screw your beautiful crafted plan? I mean,
especially as I claimed that CP manipulation actually exists
?

Anyway, as I said, i'm not really afraid of scum generating false positives by adding CPs to the town pool. I'm a lot more afraid of false negatives (confirming one of their members by draining CPs) that would occur when you "investigate" a scum. (And i will remind you that all it takes for scum to win is one confirmed town member).

But even if I believe this, and thus am ready to burn, I prefer letting a few more people give their thought on this issue. I'll add that this might help me to make a decision on whether i use some ability. So, cool down, and wait tomorrow evening. This is not as if I'll disappear in a puff of smoke, or will be able to backtrack and refuse burning. k?

False negatives would be great, because scum's NK would fail. That would be pretty freakin sweet.

Read the thread. See who is for it and who is against it. Then decide, even though you don't have a choice because we will lynch you if you refuse.

In Soviet Russia, lynch votes you!

get on this people.

new Cruciare, RTT. There is enough support for investigating targets with the system that you can get lynched for not following along.

Mafia drainers and your complex concepts weren't even hinted at in the OP, which gave off a sense of completeness regarding mechanics.

Your paranoia is also assymetric, you think mafia can mess around with CP but town have no way of doing so. If there's a town CP messerer, they would come forward in time to revoke any conclusions that could have been misplaced due to a similar role existing within the mafia. Hasn't happened yet, and I doubt it will, as I said the CP doesn't allude to it at all.

fifi (failed at) self-hammer to stop the burn. That's all the evidence I need that it's worth trying.

Vote: deadline extension
I assume that won't cost CP as I didn't unvote first, etc. ^^

bv, why do you think fifi self-hammered? For example, do you think he deliberately fake-hammered to give the appearance that he did not want us to burn? If so, why bother with the charade in the first place?
