I won't be replacing out, but I'm still not happy. This isn't the game I signed up for. This is just one player trying to break the game, and a bunch of others following instead of playing a game of mafia.

There, now that that's out of the way, can we please get the burn done and over with?

The burn is just a mechanic that provides an extra Cop investigation. It's not a violation of the spirit of the game IMO. You are welcome to come up with conventional cases on players (you can even vote to have them "investigated" via a burn), even if fifi's having claimed scum means whoever it is will probably be dealt with later.

I probably will. I just think RedCoyote probably planned for this, and so there's going to be some kind of mechanic to stop this from working. I think Pops is scum, and is trying to make us waste points that could go to night actions. What if they have some role that drains 5 CP? Then our doc won't protect, and our real cop won't investigate. Plus, by outing our Commander, the scum only need to NK him and we lose a bunch more CP.

I dunno. Pops (and SC, I think) originally wanted to forego burning at all today to establish a baseline.

you do realize, bv, even if we did lose some night actions (which I very much doubt), we would have traded them for a sane cop investigation. That's very powerful, and quite possibly worth all the power roles the game actually has combined. (heck, tihs investigation works on godfathers)

I think this plan is very creative. I think the whole point of "unique setups" is to find a different way to play an otherwise vanilla game of mafia.

I thought we established every action uses only a single CP, so that argument doesn't make sense.
I also, no offense mod, don't see RC planning ahead for this, so that's a weak attack.

The commander will only out himself with a guilty, most likely. Then we have a doc to protect him. Just like a normal game of mafia only with an interesting way of having a cop?

tbh i'm not all that worried about how much bv is enjoying the game as long as he'll keep playing to his wincon.

I play this game to win. Whether I agree with the collective decision will have no bearing on my play.

Pops, I think the only issue is if the scum have multiple comanders or some kind of enabler role. I just feel like there are too many variables to make this plan succesful. Town might have issues too if any roles count for 2 CP or more. What if a tracker has to pay as many CP as there are players in the game? What if a Vig has to pay 3 for a shot? What if a cop only pays on a guilty? What if the doc has to pay 2+ however many protects (i.e. Scum NK, Vig shot, SK kill) they have?

I don't know, maybe I'm reading too much into this.

Also, I'm going camping for the next few days, so V/LA until Saturday afternoon or later

Multiple CP for a power role would be bastard modding. "each action requires a CP to use". The tracker concept fits the mold, but i think it's unlikely and i really doubt we're losing much if that tracker only tracks 1.

Multiple scum commanders does nothing.

This. The whole idea of unique setups is to change games from being played by normal scumhunting techniques. If we don't try to game the system, it will impair scumhunting.

So, bv, you'd rather play the game where town's ability to scumhunt is impaired? Fascinating...

Elscouta will be replacing Cruciare. Thank you Elscouta!

As outlined in the rules, the deadline may be extended by either a majority vote of all players or at my discretion.

Iecerint, if you are asking me whether I will choose the extend the deadline, the answer is no, but if a majority of players want to do so, then I will.
