I'm not saying we HAVE to lynch one of them... if you'd like to try and start another viable wagon before deadline (which, NEWSFLASH, is six days away), be my guest. I'm kinda in this "ugh, they're all scummy" grey area with all three of them right now, and I need to go back and re-read. I called Sakako poor town or newb town, but then again, there's a very fine line between newbtown and newbscum. Monkey and kyle's meta line up with them being scummy as hell right now, but then again, I've lynched them BOTH as scum AND town using the said meta, so it's almost a null tell.

@ the arguement earlier: I would follow a lynch if I thought the person was a vanilla townie early in the game if it were to be beneficial to the game as a whole. Noone can be sure that the people being wagoned aren't scum and therefore if they have reasonable reasoning against them and the voting has been as round-a-bout as it has then an innocent lynch isn't the worst thing in the world. It would be better to catch scum but the way the voting has gone a lynch of one of the three is one of the best things that could come out of the day due to the solid information that would come out of it.
This is a long game and just like chess sometimes you have to sacrifice a piece to put yourself in the position to checkmate.
I wouldn't be suggesting such a thing if the game were different, however we really need the information that would come out of lynching one of the three. I have nothing against discussing other people, I just think it isn't in the towns best interest to all of a sudden turn away from something potentially game-breaking.

Yeah, I reread again, and I once again didn't see the scummieness in Monkey. I played with him as scum before, and he's really not playing anything like he did before. Still have a slight scumread on Sakako, but he didn't seem as scummy in my second reread.

Frankly, yes. You are much more likely to have a grasp on what's going on if you are following the thread closely AND doing re-reads rather than just jumping in and reading a ton of content. There are psychological warrants for this. This is evidenced by the quote below.

Case in point of you not being 100% in the know. Go re-read the thread. I address Monkey multiple times, he doesn't reply. I've pointed this out before, too.

No. And even if this were the case, it does nothing to address the fact that your attack is incredibly weak compared to the rest of the thread. MM is the scummiest out of kyle99 and him and Sakako. Sakako reads like newbtown/newbscum, which can be dealt with later. kyle99 is lurking as usual and his play is consistent with both town and scum reads. Monkey is, however, playing much like his scum meta in Revenge of the Crimson King.

Confused by Nikanor's actions. Even if AGM is scummy (which I don't see) there are definitely better candidates today.
Regarding your saying you don't see *shrug*s from Monkey:
He does it in 138, which is mentioned by Neto in 140, and DRK in 142. He again brushes it off as "random" in 148. Almaster brings it up again in 161, and I mention it in 164. This is the main one that springs to mind, but I'm fairly sure there's at least one other example somewhere. So yeah, it was mentioned quite a bit. How come you didn't see it?

I'm not sure that I agree with DRK that Nika avoiding the popular wagons for an obscure one is a towntell. His reappearance distracted people from MM's scumminess and reduced pressure on him, as I mentioned in 357. It could conceivably be scum trying to shift discussion away and distract Town from pressuring a scumbuddy. Although as you said, the more obvious scum play there would to be jumping on the opposing wagon.
I think with the information we have just now this'll have to be a nulltell.


Regarding lynch today: My vote is on Monkey, and I'm pretty happy about that.

Can someone explain this "Nik is town because he didn't get on the obvwagon" tell to me? I don't get it. If scumNik had come back after some heavy lurking and immediately gotten on one of the three popular wagons, we would have been all over him for opportunism/wagoning/lurking/etc. Look what happened to kyle. If Nik didn't want to look scummy, his only play was to find a new target. At least, that's how things read to me.

This doesn't MAKE him scum; I just don't think he's probtown.
