Not that I won't lynch him this game, but not for that counter point to his attacks on you right now. And if that's all you have to go on, I would suggest trying to look past it for a while at some other players.
I'm more concerned about you're comment about people being friendly than the apparent back-tracking. I didn't like that sound of that one at all. Like julien said, casting light suspicion on whoever said jokign wasn't alright (no one) and kind of buddying up to everyone. Seemed like a suspicious comment to me. Mr. Sauve said somehting that pricked me too.-

To digress from issues here (like lynching fifi), we still lost. Just my opinion maybe, but I'd just suggest keeping your weak/strained points to yourself, and sticking with your better ones. It can have a tendency to throw everyone else off by attracting undue attention to your scum-hunting preceedings.-

Yeah, THAT won't clutter up the threaddr cyanide wrote: I'm not a fan of RQS, but it's a start.
Suggest something productive otherwise quit defending fifi. You do realize that he voted someone for "double-voting", not realizing or looking to see that the first vote was a random one they forgot about.
I think it's perfectly reasonable to stick with the top suspect until something else arises. You assume because people are hounding him, they aren't looking at anyone else? The town can't have a top-early suspect?
Just what are you saying? Besides that a RQS is better and will not clutter the thread. That's one of the silliest things I've heard on this site in a long time.
I suppose you meant "unintentional". At any rate, you should easily see why this doesn't help anyone else besides you determine anything.fifi wrote: didn't even think what my alignment was, nor i tought about making it clear in the post. Now that you point it, i see it as a town tell. A intentional one, and thats what makes it a town tell.
That said, I think it is a weak point. But your OMGUS vote for Suave was terrible imo. As was the unvote.
ORLY?fifi wrote: But i didn't say it was suspicious not to be friendly.
Well, I guess you didn't say that exactly, but then what was the point of this:
And who was it directed at?fifi wrote: Ummm.. I don't see nothing wrong in being friendly.
Not that scummy actually.fifi wrote: Self voting isn't something scummy, and voting someone for playing nice and joking in the RVS is scummy as f***.
Let's not forget the self-voting, back-tracking, to get reactions. Also non-plus fare if you ask me.
Dr cyanide, there are things to look at here, it's troubling to hear you suggest that we abandon it. We still have people to hear from, and I've got a couple other bad vibes, and it's early. But to say we should ignore all of this and do what is, I TOTALLY agree, going BACKWARDS, is, well, very backwards of you.
First off, this isn't a good reason to vote for someone...um not even close, and he retracts it almost immediatly saying that he didn't know suave didn't know he was revoting the same person.fifi wrote: Are you so eager in pushing for my mislynch that you even vote me twice?
Anyways, more often than not, a person would just use the word lynch here. It is a minor/weak/uncertain point, but I can definitely see why it might strike mr sauve. Especially with how horrific it is to hear fifi saying now that it's a town tell.
Not sure I believe a word from fifi so far, though I have a considerable doubt tied to his responses to julien.
Namely this:
He hasn't carried it through to the length I did in my last game with julien, although I cautioned him agaisnt it to be fair, but this was exactly my initial response to julien's attacks then. To have elicited the same reaction from another player as he did from me when I was a townie does cause me to doubt this early case some. Though it could just be something fifi had noticed and latched onto to attack julien, it being a fairly obvious aspect of julien's scum hunting and mainly what I cited in calling for his lynch the entire game.fifi wrote: You are just trying too hard to make me look bad,
That's another thing julien, as long as this is still a topic of some debate between us, people may have a hard time getting behind you on things (like I did last game) when your cases on people (like me) are cluttered with garbage.
So far, dr cyanide, your defens of fifi amounts to: "Early cases are never right and never hit scum...it's ALWAYS a later one, the third or fourth..." Interesting defense. Was there anything else to it?-

Words in your mouth? Okay wait let me correct myself. You said everyone involved in the discussion around an early BW is innocent, not just the person in the crosshairs. Was that better?dr cyanide wrote: Way to go trying to put words in my mouth. What the hell is your problem? What are you overcompensating for?Freaking out a bit there?
Bolded part is a veiled/implied attack based on severely faulty assumptions. And obviously, you are the one overreacting, or "freaking out".
FoS: dr. cyanide
Even if we only establish "relative" scuminess out of an early BW, isn't that still a good thing? I mean, we don't have to lynch one of the two or three people mainly involved. And later, if they are still around in the game and decisions really have to get made, you can say one person was scummier than the other coming out of a certain situation.
The only reason I don't just go ahead and switich my vote now is that I am still largely unsatisfied with fifi's response to this, and because if cyanide is scum and this whole early argument is between townies only, I don't know why he would try to snuff it.
And also Mr. Sandman has very few posts, McZombie appears absent, and Haylen, Confid, Bv, have all posted zero meat.
McZombie has picked up her prod; she has about a day left to post ingame before I look for a replacement. ~Nacho-

A couple. For one, the fact that you haven't been very active but can stop in immediately to ask this question.
McZombie "picked up" her prod, but didn't post anything? What does that mean? Anyone?
I don't expect to know many things right now, especially with a few players a little on the quiet side.
But I do expect dr cyanide to meet a nice, cold, no-fuss lynch.-

When you said we should abandon every thing that had happened so far. When you said we'd draw relative conclusions about two or more players scumminess and then mislynch anyways. Or did you fuckin forget you said that already? Or didn't mean what you said, and didn't think about what you were actually suggesting at all?dr cyanide wrote: Where did I say this?
Hmph, yeah good one sport. Show [instruction] Examples? How?dr cyanide wrote: If you want to continue being anti town, then go right ahead.
When have I been acting anti-town this game?
Because I don't want to have a RQS well after the RVS is over?
Might as well try to back up your bull shit accusations.
Your entire last post is such horrible, reactionary, over-defensive, needlessly aggressive, scum-hogwash. Plain as the light of day.-

His last two posts are psychologically distressing for me to read.fifi wrote: But you can't be that OMGus, agressive and disrespectful, or you lose your reason.
You haven't really done it this game...yet. Fifi thought one or two of the things you said about him were scraping the bottom of a barrell marked "not scummy at all." I can't say I really agree with those ones.julien wrote: @ Civil Scum & ConfidAnon: can you tell me where you think I've been trying to blow things out of proportion and make them look scummy (to paraphrase)?
I'll be sure to let you know when you do it.
Kinda strange that most of confid's posts are a response to you talking about him. Except that you weren't, he just thought you were.
Haha. Well, alright. I did let cyanide buddy me horribly. Maybe I don't want to take all the blame...julien wrote: @ Civil Scum in particular: okay, so you think the last game was a disaster and don't wish to take any of the blame for yourself. I can handle that. Can we move on?
I would go for a cyanide, fifi, or haylen lynch. Or a lurker lynch. But especially a cyanide lynch.-

I was suspicious of you for reasons around this first sentence. I don't think you need to prove that at this point. But if you're too busy to post relevant content, you can see the difficulties we will face in determining your alignment, or trusting you at all in this game.haylen wrote: You do realise that I've been informed of my meta recently and have completely switched my metas around in a what I call Operation Mind Fuck.
Would you like proof of this?
And if you're not up to speed enough to post now, I don't see you being caught up and posting with relevance 7 pages from now :/-

This is an argument of some kind? Either you're a joke, or this is some sort of joking/dislikey false dichotomy.cyanide wrote: CivilScum.
Civil/ Scum.
You are only one of these. You are not both.
I'm calling you out.
I also dislike how you made all these criticisms and then offered no alternative. You're talking about "looking everywhere" and "keeping an open mind" without the slightest inclination to do so. Besides your vaguest of ideas about an RQS stage you didn't initiate.
There are several things I find scummy about cyanide's posts. It isn't -all- about him stepping on my feet and saying dumb things and otherwise making wild baseless accusations.julien wrote: if you were to take a step back from Dr. Cyanide and take a look at other players, what might you say?
As for the "other players":
I'm mostly suspicious of fifi, still. I'm mostly concerened about the few inactive players we still have.
Haylen: You don't seem very inactive in most of your games granted, but that doesn't make it 100% acceptable.
Bv, Sandman: Please play
Or maybe, just maybe, all three of us disagree with your opinion cause we're right and you're wrong. Hell, if you were trying to bail out a scum buddy, even they're not going to agree with you casue they'd be commiting suicide.cya-scum wrote: The fact that all three of you can call my opinion bullshit while misrepresenting it
AND, if you could actually explain how you've been misrepresented, instead of just saying it, then it wouldn't look like something you had made up and were just saying.-

Bob: I too am up for a little look at Mr. Sauve.
As outlandish and wild as cyanide's backtracking-claims are right now, it's almsot too crazy not to believe, and I'd probably lynch Fifi before him right now. The part about him "calling me out", I mean it was so ridiculous that it is more believable as a ploy to gauge my reaction than it is to be taken seriously.
As for the lurkers thing, I've been wondering recently how the town would fare, percentage wise, if we simply lynched all non-contributing roles and trimmed the game down immediately. On top of which, I never lurk on any role and find it incredibly frustrating. I mean, people might get busy or have some crazy shit come up...but someone does...everygame, that eliminates their internet access for a week? 3 people this game? I would be fine lynching all of them and seeing what happens. On top of which, great everyone's more suspicious of the previous active player's now, a replacement comes in and agrees with things already said, posts twice, and everyone thinks they are fine. A major disadvantage to online games imo. Irl if someone's too quiet you can put them in the spotlight, and wait quietly...they can't say nothing forever or go to the bathroom for two weeks.
I'm also through giving any replacer slack on scummy things their predeccesor has done.
If the scummiest player was goign to get lynched, and got replaced, I would no longer give the slightest fuck about what they said, I would continue pursuing the lynch based on things the person they replaced had done.
The references to mine and julien's past game are over for now I think. They aren't that relevant in specifics. The meta we may each have has already been mentioned in any capacity that it will relate to this game.
And back to the lurkers thing. Sure, it's any easy stance for scum to take, but it's equally an easy attack for a scum to make on a town player.
I'm not lurker head-hunting, and ignoring everything else, I just think the game would be better off without them in it.-

Gotta pick someone soon, deadline approaches
I'm willing to give Cyanide the benefit of the doubt for just a little while. That he's new and just tried to go too big too early and commandier the game.
Off the top of my head I'd say I'd vote for Fifi or Sauve. But I should also re-read some and make a good decision.-

Going after me was no longer a ploy, again, or it wasn't, yes it was I meant it, just kidding, it was a ploy---> etc
Town points for Bv for Cyanide wanting to lynch him.
Havingfitz replaced McZombie ages ago.
I'm just remembering when Cyanide "yawned in my direction" a few posts after he was screaming at me.
Let's get that one going.-

Cyanide has been pretty inconsistent in his play, and in how much he suspects me. But I have a stronger feeling on Fifi. And on Fitz, Haylen, and Mr. Sandman if Fifi flips town.
And yes I agree with Julien that Mr. Sauve is not cleared in any way by a Fifi scum-flip.
Nevermind the deadline, let's lynch Fifi. He obviously the scummiest looking player here.-

Well, according to the wiki, a common mechanic is for the recruited cultist to lose their previous powers, if they had any. So, the way I see it, Fifi is basically going to wander around neutering our docs and cops and such. Walking around with a hand full of useless power-roles he took from people. It's dangerous, and we should kill him anyways...-

I fear we're running out of time.
Yes, it was an anti-town phrase. Won't stop me from using it... again and again.
Basically, it meant that I suspected both of them and wouldn't mind killing them both at the same time, except that this is not allowed
But that was also before Fifi's claim so....
