Ellibereth, why do you think Jazz is town and not Iecerint? Just from their behaviour?

Wait a minute. I just realized that we have to lynch SocioPath as soon as possible. Geppetto is the MAFIA RECRUITER! I'm not sure if he starts recruiting on N0 or N1, but if he lives an extra day, the Mafia will get another teammate.
It starts N0, concludes N1, so by D2 my children will start to run around freely, and your scum lists will all be inaccurate.

But don't worry, if there is a NL today. And you lynch Elli tomorrow, then you can still get me before I pop out another one, because of the 2 night procedure.

But if by some miracle, I get a mass of votes in 45 minutes, then that just means Elli auto-loses.

Sheesh, how hard is it for people to make it back in time for a lynch? There were lots of people around before. They can't all be SP's scumbuddies.

Man, if Iecerint is scum, I'm going to feel like an idiot. He was all the way at the bottom of my tiers, too.

So I was probably wrong about Jazz. :/ Sorry. She plays town the way I play scum. But at this point, I'd bet money that Mordy, at least, is scum, just by process of elimination.

Ellibereth, I've just thought of a really silly technicality. If we lynch MonkeyMan today, then you can't vig him, right? So that's like...your vig didn't really go through? So you can technically use it tomorrow, because it's not like you wasted a kill. He was already dead! Right?

Right? :(

Ugh. I hate, hate, HATE cult games. I think players should be warned in advance if alignments can change.

By the way, since SP has confirmed he has two teammates...I appreciate the effort, Grimmy, but 3 scum in a 12-player game is decent balance. 3 scum who can recruit more teammates? Along with a potential SK? Not good balance.

^I'm sorry if that came out as harsh, Grimmy. I do like this set-up overall. I just think the scum-to-town ratio should have been a bit lower.

Also, I see you as an active user, Iecerint. Any thoughts?

Ellibereth, is there any reason I shouldn't just hammer MonkeyMan in ten minutes?

Wait, Ellibereth. Massclaim would be a BAAAAAD idea. Here's why.
4. Frau Totenkinder: Modified Town Roleblocker and Sorceress
Bulletproof, uncopyable
If both block/investigate at the same time, both learn who the other is.
An Challenge by one who knows who the other is will kill the other.
A lucky guess (A Challenge without a successful investigation) by Lumi will kill the Frau, but not free Baba Yaga, unless The Frau is Untargetable, in which case the attack will not occur or is RBing Lumi, in which case both discover the other. If both know who the other is, they kill each other, and Baba Yaga is only freed if Bigby is still alive (for game balance). If Baba Yaga is freed, she can be used to replace a figure instead of a fetch (Geppetto spends two nights and day helping her compose an appropriate glamour.) and take over the position as a Hitman, or she can replace RRH as a Hitman any night the Mafia kill her.
On the night of their Duel, all other night actions (not communications or declared Day actions) are blocked.
SRG: You were unable to uncover any information today.
Ghost: For Snow - The nice lady said hello. For Frau: Ghost is hanging around your window so you tell him "hello".
To: Andy Jones

Greetings Frau Totenkinder. You have been watching Geppetto and know that he has included Lumi in the group that is coming to kill key Fabletown figures. It was you that discovered the Wooden Soldier and dispatched it. (Wooden Soldiers are not powerful enough to deal with you.) You also know that Lumi is looking for you and that a confrontation between the two of you is nearly inevitable. Your personal mission is to teach this cold-hearted witch something about real power.

Each night, you should PM me and indicate which of three possible actions you will take that evening.

1. Role-Block player X. You are a Modified Roleblocker. Although this risks exposing you to potential discovery by Lumi, you may Role-Block any one player any night (or the next day, if you prefer). If you block Lumi, you will be told who she is, and she will know you have found her, but (probably) not who you are.

2. Make yourself Untargetable. In your apartment, if you choose, you can be Untargetable any evening you choose.

3. Challenge Lumi to a magical duel. If you catch her by surprise, you will win the duel. If she attacks you, knowing who you are while you don’t know who she is, well, that is a duel you would prefer to avoid. ;) You may only choose this option when you know who The Snow Queen is (by option 1).
So if the Mafia know who she is, FT loses the challenge, and Baba Yaga is freed.

The town gathers together in the great library of fabletown, where it appears all of their fortunes have been written in the great book of fate. They decide that
MONKEYMAN- HAKIM
must die this day, and they gather the ropes near the great tree in the fabeltown office to hang him.

But As
MINA - RED RIDING HOOD
- goes to put Hakims neck in the noose, a great burst of flame hits Monkeyman, and Mina, too close to the target at the time, also dies a fiery death.

So the day ends with TWO deaths, and the game
appears
to be cracked wide open...

So I am leaving the thread OPEN in order for everyone left in the game to vote as to whether or not they want to continue.

I apologize to the group for not thinking ahead and COMPLETELY changing the original format. while there ARE some changes that may still make this game worth playing, I will not blame anyone for wanting to abandon it now.

Please VOTE in the thread to either PLAY or LEAVE. if we have enough players left, we can continue, but if not, we will call it a day and all of you will be free to pursue other mafia opportunities while I pursue other gaming opportunities elsewhere.

Again, my apologies.

What are the pros and cons?
Paraphrasing a role PM takes seconds, fabricating a good fakeclaim takes an eternity.

One final note in the voting process...

While there are many simliarites between the clockwork game and our own, I have modified roles in a number of ways that may still make this game worth staying for.

Also, please keep your "votes" to simply Playing or leaving, in case the others wish to stay. No reason to break the game further for them.

I see no reason to stop. And so long as I'm here:

1. Mina's sort of dead now, but I should clarify that my last post was based on my perspective on the rhymers prior to DGB posting that. Obviously, my speculation about FT changed when I saw who she was in the old game.
2. I haven't been at the computer since my last post; I've been meeting with people who'll teach me Biochemistry. So, I dunno what Mina was referring to there. Maybe I left it open somewhere or whatever.
3. No complaints with Ell's list, really. SP has pretty much confirmed that Ell is Clara, so it would make sense that he has Rose Red or whomever as an informant. I'm not sure why he thinks Jazz is Rose Red, but this could have to do with the nature of whatever message was sent N0. It's also worth keeping the wooden soldier mechanic in mind.

Also -- I'm assuming from flavor that Ell killed Mina? Why on earth did he do that? O_o

Though I suppose the flip makes it only minimally tragic.
