Looks like Gerhard and Monkey confirm each other, at least on the PR front. So I'm back on my DoS bandwagon. More votes, ne1?

GOOD NEWS AND STRANGE NEWS

GOOD NEWS FIRST

we have a replacement for Malpascp

Ellibereth has joined the game, and the role has been sent.

I will extend the deadline to January 29th to give the game time to recover.

Strange news.

I couldnt even find this thread anywhere. I had to go to the replacements area to find the link I posted for this game. If anyone has sent me any PMs other than to request for Malpascp to be replaced, please REsend them, as technical difficulties on my side have been playing Havok with this site for me.

Thanks again to Ellibereth for replacing.

Welcome to the game, Ellibereth. :)

It's been a long long while.
I admit I've grown quite weary
of complacency and still find Kpaca vile.
I meant the ones in this and this post.

In my wiki you will find a large number of games.

You'll see some in which I lurked this badly as town and scum.

You will see some in which I was active as a mofo as both town and scum.

At least... I think so... I don't update my wiki for myself.
RF, thanks for your help (although I'd like for someone who's played with you to corroborate this), but you're missing the point.

I and several others have accused you all game of posting fluffy one-liners and following the crowd. Don't just say, "Well, sometimes I lurk as town." Stop lurking. Which quotes of DoS's do you think sound sincere? Who do you think is scum,
AND WHY

Huh? Where does Monkey confirm the built-in holes in GK's PR?

If you check pre-game, MM doesn't start rhyming until after GK starts. So if either of them are faking, I think MM is. He could be doing it for pro-town reasons, though (familiarity with flavor => save the witches => fake the rhyme). This is why I had that perspective about the rhymers early game.

It's possible that the pre-game stuff confirms the off-topic-OK (subsequently, OTOK) business, but you'd think MM would've mentioned it in his post. The fact that he did not implies one of these:

1. MM doesn't have a PR, so he doesn't want to fake-confirm OTOK. Nullish IMO. But now's maybe the time to come out with it.
2. MM is PR'd scum, so he doesn't want to confirm OTOK.
3. MM is not reading the thread, so he didn't mention it. ^^;

I doubt MM has a different PR without the allowance. If he did, he would have mentioned it about GK by now.

I doubt two people would fake it for giggles or manipulation. So them being two instead of one writes off my scum faking pr theory. So I think it's legitimate.

Ack. Sorry for the duplicate there. The site was hung up and my reply was just sitting there for half an hour with the "loading" message running in an endless loop, so I opened a new window and tried again, without realizing that it had eventually posted some time in that half hour.

Oh hai der.
There's still some stuff about my role that i have to clarafy with the mod. Skimmed really fast through once.
Mordys and Socio are town. Also probably Albert, Mina, and even kpaca: don't feel scum there.
Null on Ice, Jazz.
Don't think the rhymers are fakers. Having trouble reading them though, will look back later.
Oh the irony: He's lurking.[blue]*[/blue] Also get bad vibes from him anyhow.
Ditto with lurkerDoS. No read there either though.
Vote: Ray

Will actually read slower tomorrow or something.

[blue]* link edited as it points to ongoing games. The link showed all of Rayfrost's posts, but since I cannot filter out the ongoing ones, I have to kill the link itself - Grimmy [/blue]

But Iecerint already explained this. MonkeyMan didn't start rhyming until GK did, and didn't claim to have a PR until the beginning. So obviously, GK can't be faking his PR if MM is telling the truth, but other possibilities (them being a scum team that likes you, MM deciding to copy GK's idea for town or scummy reasons) exist. Anyway, I think this is a dangerous line of discussion.

Would really like to hear from DragonsofSummer now. He doesn't seem to post unless poked. Maybe someone should get his attention, HINT HINT HINT. (I haven't forgotten that you've ignored our questions, ABR, but first things first. Go, wagon, go!)

Hey, Mordy! What do you think of DragonsofSummer?

EBWOP: uh, the whole part in parenthesis after "other possibilities" is gibberish. Replace that with "(them being a scumteam that likes thinking outside the box, MM copying GK's PR for good or evil reasons)". I suck at editing.

I think he hasn't commented since Jan 14th. This game in general is hard to get a grip on since people aren't really playing much. For instance, kpaca is a heartbeat away from being lynched and he's barely said a word. What exactly is going on with this game?

I couldn't agree with you more on that.

But DoS hasn't made an impression on you at all? In his handful of posts, he's said quite a few controversial things. You don't have even the weakest of reads on him?

No, not really. I don't have a scumtell on him, certainly. His comments were early enough in the game that they could've been controversial for the sake of eliciting reactions to scumhunt, or because he didn't have much else to go on. I remember thinking when he attacked you, Mina, for defending kpaca (I think kpaca?) that I kinda agreed with him. But it was so long ago that I can barely remember the details of the case. The lurking / disappearing is anti-town, but he's hardly the only offender on that count. If those comments were instead indicative of scumminess (making disingenuous arguments to try and mislynch a town player -- you, possibly) I'd have to see more examples than we have to confirm it. I just don't feel we have enough.

My Friday evening reread and recap:

Kpaca is looking scummier and scummier by his absence. Since when does a townie claim to be "here to save the day" and then fall off the face of the earth at L-2? And as has already been pointed out, he disappeared when he began to get pressure on him.

RayFrost continues to look scummy to me, for reasons I've previously set out, and while I could certainly back a bandwagon on him, kpaca looks more egregiously scummy and more deserving of being lynched today.

Dragons hasn't posted for over a week and needs to be prodded.

Monkey's 11 day absence while posting up a storm in other threads is scummy, as well.

And last but not least, welcome, Ellibereth.

Jazz

My only guess as to why this game seems so dead, with a larger chunk of inactives as compared to normal, is the general troubles with the site.

The pace of this game is as sluggish as the site itself.

Meh, site's better today. And my other games are chugging along. :P

The two player slots that I'm waiting for input from -- kpaca's on anything/the plan for world-saving; MM's for comment on GK's OTOK -- are inactive, so is a bit dull innit, etc.

Google is fun.
See the following: http://forums.mtgsalvation.com/member.php?u=4492
We get our wonderful disappeared player, follow up by going to his posts you will see that he's playing mafia on that forum. Further confirmation is given by the date of birthday he mentioned here, as compared to the birthday on his profile there.
Also, if you shift through his posts, you can he see that he has posted there everyday, save the 10th.
So yeah, since he's playing mafia there, I don't think he forgot about this. Let's lynch him.
